In anticipation of my 3-month European trip (May-July), I researched many many shoe brands searching for the perfect white laced sneaker that I could wear with anything & everything, daytime or dinnertime. My main requirements were: comfort, does not scuff easily, easy to clean, looks great with dresses, can wear often & odor resistant. After reading very positive reviews about the Thousand Fell odor resistant lace up sneaker, I took the plunge and bought them. They were one of two pairs of shoes that I would be taking with me on my 3-month journey. They were the perfect, minimalistic, white, comfortable pair of sneakers that I searched for. I wore them basically every other day, gave them time to refresh, deodorized them, etc. But after about 5 weeks into my travels the sneakers were noticeably smelly. Bad smelly. I tried airing them out for days & days. I cleaned the inside and inner soles with simple detergent & water, wiped them with alcohol swabs, etc., but nothing worked. Yes, I showered daily, sometimes more than 1x daily. I eventually had to dispose of my beautiful white sneakers halfway through my trip. I was so sad. I questioned how shoes made from recycled materials could remain odor resistant? After how long? After how many hours? After how many days? In what weather conditions? I never wore them in the rain but on the days that I wore them the temperatures were about 90f / 32c with high humidity. And I wore them ALL day. Perhaps a better clarification on 'odor resistant' would have been helpful - with the inclusion of a description of the intended or limited use of the product that would be in line with being odor resistant. Clearly, the use of recycled materials in the making of footwear was not meant to be used for lengthy & frequent use as commonly known when traveling. I was truly disappointed. I loved everything about my Thousand Fell sneakers except that they ended up very smelly - definitely not odor resistant. Perhaps they were only meant to be worn occasionally, for a few hours, and just as a fashion statement...?

I've been waiting for a while to write a review on these ever since I got them during a thingdrop (OG thingtesters know!!!!) they're pretty cute and fit very well. The packaging was also super cool. I have narrow feet and these fit perfectly. However, I wouldn't recommend these for walking long distances. I can barely walk 10k in these before my feet start hurting. I live in NYC and walk a ton and think I can walk longer in my converses, even. If they release something with chunkier sole or with more support, I'd be tempted to try them out.

I was searching for a perfect, simple white sneaker that would stay white and in good condition for longer. I've had these for nearly 2 years and they really fit the bill in many ways! I will say that sizing runs a bit small- I'm normally a 7.5 and although that size fits, I wish I had gotten an 8. Getting the shoe on/off is quite difficult at the moment. Of course, the edges get dinged up, but nothing that a magic eraser can't help with. The rest of the shoe stays pretty clean, with a quick swipe looks good at new. Truly is magical! I have worn without socks- and it's a miracle that they really don't smell even after your feet sweat. However, it gave me blisters. So sadly haven't been able to do that since. I think I would purchase again, but try the next size up and see if that helps with some of the issues I'm currently experiencing.

Got them for my mom and she loves them. Apparently they are super comfortable and super easy to clean. They are also really cute and similar look to the Stan smiths. I think I am going to buy myself a pair too. Plus the box it came in was super cute.

Super comfortable, easy to clean, and RECYCLABLE! The zero waste/closed loop system was a big selling point for me. 10/10 on the packaging, as well.

Bought a pair for my boyfriend and he really likes them - they’re high quality and very stylish. He mentioned the padding makes them really comfortable. They do seem to run a tiny bit big - not enough to make them uncomfortable, but if you’re in between sizes, consider sizing down. They also seem to require a little bit of breaking in and rubbed a bit straight out of the box.

I'm all for sustainable brands, and I love how easy it is to keep these shoes clean. They are ~so cute~, and I wear them with almost everything! Comfortable to walk around in for long stretches of time.

Feedback

Mine are ripping apart at some of the seams. It's not super noticeable, and it certainly might be due to the way I've been taking them on and off. Also, I HATE the box that it came in. The inside, while pretty, was a super, super vibrant indigo color, and it literally ended up being on these white shoes when they arrived. I had to scrub like crazy to get it off.

I've only owned my Thousand Fell for 2 months, so I can't speak on the longevity yet, but so far so good! I didn't realize wanting long-lasting white shoes was a need of mine until I started owning white shoes that got dirty really quickly. Love the price point too.

No improvements needed so far, hoping it stays that way!

The shipping for these was lightning fast (I think I got them the next day???) and the packaging was so smart - I loved the unboxing experience. At the end of the day, however, the shoes themselves are super narrow in the toe box - and I don't want to spend $100+ on shoes that don't fit perfectly. The return process was via Happy Returns - so simple-ish - but required a printer for the return. I also had to prompt them to actually issue my refund a few weeks later!

Nice clean look with a pop of color. Easy to clean and pretty comfortable. They survived my trip to PR. I mostly wore them when we were doing light walking. Update (April 2024): After some wear they have become squeaky when walking.

These are a solid, basic white sneaker. They remind me a lot of Keds, which my grandma used to wear religiously. I love that they're recyclable and made with intention and thoughtfulness. They're comfortable and good enough for me to run around NYC in. That said, they're not the sturdiest sneaker one can find at this price point, but they are functional and classic. I appreciate that they offered them at a nice discount, otherwise I wouldn't purchase at full price. I can't wait to wear mine out and recycle these.

I bought the classic white lace up sneak with the cream color heel and love them. Highly recommend if you like white sneaks! Compared to other sneakers, these took no time to break in. They are already a relatively soft and squishy material (compared to leather) so I had no problem wearing them right away. The look is classic so, while they aren't innovating on the style, I appreciate the innovation of material. And it's supposed to be sustainable! Also, the stainproof material is KEY for white sneakers.

I tried and returned their black slip on sneaker. Just wasn't the look I was going for and instead got the similar style from GREATS.

I love that these sneakers are recyclable. That was the primary selling point for me. But they are also super cute and comfortable. No break in period required.

I love these! They’re really cute and comfy! I took off a star because the laces are a bit short to tie, and I’ll have to be stand alone laces. Otherwise they’re great!

I wore these every day for a three week trip in Europe, some of which it was raining for. The shoes are easy to wipe clean and super comfortable for days with lots of walking. I’ve recommended these to so many people!

Originally found this brand on Instagram and loved their mission of a circular economy! Bought them as I needed a simple pair of white sneakers that could match anything but comfy enough to commute to work. These have been super comfortable. Had some issues with the sizing from the first order, but customer service was great.

Can't wait to see what other designs they come out with, really interested in trying the "recycling program" once my shoes are worn out and I need a new pair.

Love love love these shoes! They are sleek, comfortable and have been holding up well around the city. Love the neon accents on the shoes and have been getting lots of compliments.

I'm on my second pair of white sneakers from Thousand Fell. These are a great find if you want a simple, logo-free sneaker. The biggest downside is that I found the soles to wear out much quicker than other shoes What I love -Simple, sleek, logo-less design. Great work sneaker. -Super comfortable fit -Fairly easly to clean as a white sneaker; magic eraser worked to remove scuffs, etc. -Appreciate the opportunity to recycle What I didn't love -The soles aren't as durable as many other sneakers. I live in NYC and walk a lot, and found that the soles wore through after a year of regular wear. I haven't had that issue with Vejas, Tretorn, or Gola. -I opted to recycle my 1st pair, and I had to email SuperCircle in order to actually get the credits as the tracking info never updated on their end

Super easy to clean, functional, plain white without being too boring. The laces are pretty short, I have a small tie and keep it tucked inside the tongue Incredible shipping time! They came so quickly after I ordered them.

Seams came apart after wearing a little over a year - not as durable as my other casual sneakers (keds, nikes, allbirds). They do fit more on the narrow side if you are even wide-footed at all I wouldn't recommend. I gave the slip ons away because they were way too tight to fit. They are easy to wipe clean though.
