Stanley earns largely positive reviews for keeping drinks cold for hours, boosting daily water intake, and offering practical touches like a sturdy handle, straw, and cup‑holder‑friendly base—but reviews also flag frequent leaks when tipped, heavy bulk at 40 oz, occasional chipping/finish wear, and mixed performance versus competitors. Overall, Stanley is good for desk, car, and everyday hydration, but not ideal for travel or toss‑in‑bag use.

I was absolutely influenced to buy my first Stanley ( yes there is now more than 1 in my house.) I got caught up and went from store to store after drops to get them as gifts. I have the older model 40 oz and the new model 30oz. I bring the newer model everywhere and it does get me to drink more water. To be honest, although there were improvements, it’s a bummer that they are not spill proof. If it gets knocked over there will be water everywhere.
I got the 40oz Flow State as a work perk. Having it on my desk does really help my efforts to drink enough water. It's nice that it keeps drinks cold, though that's not really a requirement for me (I don't mind a room temp water situation!) and I like that all pieces can easily go in the dishwasher. BUT i'm a little confused on the hype - it's pretty darn heavy to carry around so I avoid traveling out of my house with it, especially since its not really leakproof if the straw is in. I typically like to carry a decent amount of water when i'm headed to the gym so this would've been an ideal size but gets ruled out because of those drawbacks, too.
I held out as long as I could. But these tumblers are flawless. I live in an un-airconditioned apartment, and this will keep ice in a drink for over 24 hours. I now own three tumblers.
I like them but for me personally they are a bit to large.
I am a hoarder of tumblers and travel cups and Stanley is far and away the best I've ever had. Definitely expensive, but the quality is really there. I have two and I will definitely be buying more. The straw is really sturdy which I quite like because I am one of those terrible people who gnaws on their straws.

I caved and grabbed a 40oz Stanley from Target a few months ago but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I can confidently say it’s helped me drink more water throughout the day and it’s been perfect for road trips and the office as well.
Ok here's the thing: It's a great design! It does tick a lot of different boxes like fitting into the cup holder, having a straw, holding a lot, having a handle, keeping your drink cold... but the price point is just too damn high for a product that is not that easy to clean (which is something you want to do with those every day). I like buying the knockoffs and having a few so I can just wash them at the end of the week instead of having one brand name one!
Stanley has become my favorite cup for water, drinks, etc. I really like how much water I can drink from it; it also fits in the car cupholder. I have the previous version so it leaks if I knock it over. Overall, it keeps the drinks cool and easy to use so I do recommend it.
Never in a million years did I think I would jump on this bandwagon. I saw the Stanley at Target and went for it. I can honestly say, I have never been more hydrated. I make sure it is always full and comes with me in the car. Worth the money since it's doing my body good!
I am in love with my Stanley H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler. The 40oz size is perfect, as is how long it keeps my drinks cool. My only complaint is that liquid can pour out of the straw if the tumbler is not in an upright position. I thought replacing the tumbler lid would be an easy solution but it’s not.

Have liked Stanley since before it was cool. The cups keep your drink hot or cold for hours. Lid is easy to screw on. Won't melt in the dishwasher. Very sturdy - can take a drop! Glad the long-time company is doing well, but you can get a special edition cup for the same price as their 5 gallon wet/dry vacuum... just saying. It's getting ridiculous.
Love all of my Stanley cups. They’re durable fun and definitely a conversation piece when you go out in public carrying your favorite Stanley all decorated up.
I love my half gallon, but boy do they spill. I have one I use to work out with and even if it's at the wrong angle it starts spilling. Have to do a spill test whenever I want to use any of them.
The paint chipped so fast. Didn't keep ice cold.
I love the volume of water I manage to drink by using my stanley. Would prefer a fully water proof lid so that I could take it to more active activities without the risk of spilling.
Received as a gift. Like my bubba cup just as much.

I love my Stanley cup, don't get me wrong. The colors are so fun, they're a great size, and do a great job of keeping drinks cold. BUT, one false move and water leaks from the sides so I can't take it anywhere outside of my house! So a great WFH cup, but not functional on the move.
I love my Stanley I take it everywhere with me. It’s so nice that I can hold so much water and has a handle and I love the straw.
I have purchased one of the giant tumblers. I would be fine with my regular water bottles but I mix electrolyte powder in and it is so much easier to clean this than my regular water bottles. I never know what is at the bottom of the other ones--this one I can see and scrub easily without having to buy a special sponge wand. Also, I left this in the car cup holder on a 90 degree beach day and when I came back the water was STILL COLD. The food in my cooler had basically cooked, but this was sitting in straight sunlight for at least 5 hours and was still cold. Amazing!
I have had a Stanley for years. I do love how much water it can hold and how well the product has held up considering its usage. I do think that other brands out there are doing it better. But I can say that their customer service is exceptional!
