Reviews mention

  • Excellent cold-retention insulation
  • Generous high-capacity tumblers
  • Ergonomic handle design
  • Dishwasher-safe durable construction
  • Not fully leakproof lids
  • Heavy bulky 40oz size
  • Chipping glossy paint finish
  • Inconsistent cooling performance

Stanley earns strong reviews for keeping drinks cold for hours, generous capacities like the 40 oz Quencher, and ergonomic touches such as a sturdy handle, tapered base, and easy-to-clean parts, so the brand works for daily hydration. Reviews also flag real drawbacks: many tumblers leak or spill when tipped, larger sizes feel heavy and bulky, shiny finishes can chip, and insulation performance varies, with some finding it only “okay” and comparable to competitors.

  • I held out as long as I could. But these tumblers are flawless. I live in an un-airconditioned apartment, and this will keep ice in a drink for over 24 hours. I now own three tumblers.

  • I am a hoarder of tumblers and travel cups and Stanley is far and away the best I've ever had. Definitely expensive, but the quality is really there. I have two and I will definitely be buying more. The straw is really sturdy which I quite like because I am one of those terrible people who gnaws on their straws.

  • I caved and grabbed a 40oz Stanley from Target a few months ago but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. I can confidently say it’s helped me drink more water throughout the day and it’s been perfect for road trips and the office as well.

  • Ok here's the thing: It's a great design! It does tick a lot of different boxes like fitting into the cup holder, having a straw, holding a lot, having a handle, keeping your drink cold... but the price point is just too damn high for a product that is not that easy to clean (which is something you want to do with those every day). I like buying the knockoffs and having a few so I can just wash them at the end of the week instead of having one brand name one!

  • Stanley has become my favorite cup for water, drinks, etc. I really like how much water I can drink from it; it also fits in the car cupholder. I have the previous version so it leaks if I knock it over. Overall, it keeps the drinks cool and easy to use so I do recommend it.

  • Never in a million years did I think I would jump on this bandwagon. I saw the Stanley at Target and went for it. I can honestly say, I have never been more hydrated. I make sure it is always full and comes with me in the car. Worth the money since it's doing my body good!

  • I am in love with my Stanley H2.0 Flowstate Tumbler. The 40oz size is perfect, as is how long it keeps my drinks cool. My only complaint is that liquid can pour out of the straw if the tumbler is not in an upright position. I thought replacing the tumbler lid would be an easy solution but it’s not.

  • Have liked Stanley since before it was cool. The cups keep your drink hot or cold for hours. Lid is easy to screw on. Won't melt in the dishwasher. Very sturdy - can take a drop! Glad the long-time company is doing well, but you can get a special edition cup for the same price as their 5 gallon wet/dry vacuum... just saying. It's getting ridiculous.

  • Love all of my Stanley cups. They’re durable fun and definitely a conversation piece when you go out in public carrying your favorite Stanley all decorated up.

  • I love my half gallon, but boy do they spill. I have one I use to work out with and even if it's at the wrong angle it starts spilling. Have to do a spill test whenever I want to use any of them.

  • I love my Stanley cup, don't get me wrong. The colors are so fun, they're a great size, and do a great job of keeping drinks cold. BUT, one false move and water leaks from the sides so I can't take it anywhere outside of my house! So a great WFH cup, but not functional on the move.

  • I love my Stanley I take it everywhere with me. It’s so nice that I can hold so much water and has a handle and I love the straw.

  • I have purchased one of the giant tumblers. I would be fine with my regular water bottles but I mix electrolyte powder in and it is so much easier to clean this than my regular water bottles. I never know what is at the bottom of the other ones--this one I can see and scrub easily without having to buy a special sponge wand. Also, I left this in the car cup holder on a 90 degree beach day and when I came back the water was STILL COLD. The food in my cooler had basically cooked, but this was sitting in straight sunlight for at least 5 hours and was still cold. Amazing!

  • I have had a Stanley for years. I do love how much water it can hold and how well the product has held up considering its usage. I do think that other brands out there are doing it better. But I can say that their customer service is exceptional!

  • I love the volume of water I manage to drink by using my stanley. Would prefer a fully water proof lid so that I could take it to more active activities without the risk of spilling.

  • Honestly, I don’t mind the hype over the Stanley Cup. I’d personally didn’t go with the one that everybody gets. I got the one that I can fold. My straw and I have a new water spilled the only thing I wish it was more resistible cause I dropped it like three times already and it has already chipped

  • Stanley cups look great and keep drinks cold for ages, but I really don’t like that they’re not fully leak-proof. It’s frustrating when I can’t just toss it in a bag without worrying. A lid upgrade would make it perfect.
