Reviews mention

  • Excellent cold-retention insulation
  • Generous high-capacity tumblers
  • Ergonomic handle design
  • Dishwasher-safe durable construction
  • Not fully leakproof lids
  • Heavy bulky 40oz size
  • Chipping glossy paint finish
  • Inconsistent cooling performance

Stanley earns strong reviews for keeping drinks cold for hours, generous capacities like the 40 oz Quencher, and ergonomic touches such as a sturdy handle, tapered base, and easy-to-clean parts, so the brand works for daily hydration. Reviews also flag real drawbacks: many tumblers leak or spill when tipped, larger sizes feel heavy and bulky, shiny finishes can chip, and insulation performance varies, with some finding it only “okay” and comparable to competitors.

  • Ok…. I finally get the Stanley craze. I love the size of the 40 oz bottle. The straw helps me drink more and the handle is great. I ended up getting one for my partner because he kept using mine and now we have his and hers Stanley. Don’t think you need more than one or two, but definitely think this is a good product.

  • Hate to love it, love to hate it - just a simply great item.

  • Love my 40 oz quencher! It keeps drinks cool and fits nicely in my cup holder.

  • always live up to their promises of keeping things hot/cold an go brand that deserves the hype

  • I bought the 40oz handled cup not because it was trending on socials but because for my health I need to drink at least a gallon of water a day. I found that with Starbucks cups, they didn't keep my water as cold as I like it and the cups are pretty small compared to the Stanley. I have had my cup for a few months now and I've noticed the rubber coating is starting to shred on the bottom of the cup. I have no idea how that's happened as I did not drag it across rocks or even put it in the dishwasher. I actually accused my husband of putting my cup in the dishwasher because I was shocked. I'm a bit afraid that the rubber is going to continue to peel up and I really wish I knew what happened. I guess with that said, be aware that the bottom of the cup is not as durable as you may have thought.

  • I wish I loved this tumbler as much as everyone else does. Not only did it break the first day I got it, but there are no replacement parts available and customer service was not helpful in trying to resolve my issue. Also, while the smaller base makes it easier to fit into a car cupholder, it still did not fit into my car's cupholder. Lastly, this thing is HEAVY when full! Take it for a walk at night if you want a good self-defense weapon- Hit someone with it or drop if from the ground if you want everyone in a 3 block radius to turn and look at you. but I found it too clunky for every day use. The only shining light is that Stanley has always built things to last, so the metal body will be with me for life.

  • I fell for the Tiktok hype and bought the 32 oz one because the 40oz one seemed a bit extreme. It keeps your drink cold, fits in a cup holder, has a straw. However, if you look at it wrong, it will leak. Does it make me drink more water? Yes. Should this cost $40? absolutely not. Literally any water bottle will do, it doesn't have to be Stanley.

  • I finally purchased my first Stanley prior to the holiday season, & it’s been working great so far! It keeps my drinks cold all day, & I love the variety of colors that are offered.

  • My partner surprised me with a 40 oz and I didn't think I wanted one but after the first day I was obsessed. Personally, I love how much water it holds, it's perfect for the gym and it encourages me to keep drinking water throughout the day. At this point, my Stanley travels everywhere with me. The only downside is that it can be quite heavy but you get used to it after a few days.

  • I love this thermos!!! It keeps my drink hot all day. And keeps ice for over a day! I'm also lazy, so the fact that I've put it in the dishwasher repeatedly and the paint never even budges makes me happy.

  • Stanley is my go-tumbler for cold drinks. I once left my cup overnight in 85 degree weather and came back the next day to a cup full of ice. I love the big handle, the tapered bottom that allows it to fit in cup holders. My Stanley tumbler is my emotional support water cup. It goes everywhere with me, unless I have to fly, because despite the new design, it's not completely spill proof. That being said, it's a pretty perfect cup and it comes in a range of beautiful colors. At first, I thought it was silly to pay so much money for a cup, but now I can't live without it.

  • I’ve been using the Stanley Cup 40 oz Quencher for a while now, and it has quickly become my go-to water bottle for keeping hydrated throughout the day. The large 40 oz capacity is perfect for staying hydrated on the go, and the built-in handle makes it easy to carry around. I also love the sleek design and color options; it’s stylish and functional at the same time. However, there is one downside that I’ve noticed: it leaks when tipped over. While it’s great for daily use when upright, I have found that if it falls over in my car or bag, water does spill out from the straw opening. It’s something to keep in mind if you’re looking for a truly spill-proof bottle, especially if you plan on using it during travel or for more active purposes. That being said, if you’re mainly using it for home, work, or keeping it stationary, it’s a fantastic hydration companion. Just be cautious with tipping it!

  • Would definitely recommend. I have 6 of these because they work so well. They keep the water ice cold and they fit in the cupholders.

  • How can you not love this brand? While it may not be 100% leak proof, it does the job and it does it great. I love my Stanley cup. I did not even buy mine, I won it in a giveaway, and now I have purchased them for my family and they love them. The handle is great and the straw size is as well. I love my Stanley cup and I wish I had more!!

  • was on the fence about getting one for a long time, because I felt like I was buying into an overhyped trend. got one recently and it's actually one of the best things I've bought, practical wise. I am (was) a human cactus that drank 2 cups of water max per day (or I sustain myself on a singular cup of coffee), and I often can't get through a 250ml glass of water without a struggle. ever since I got one I've been drinking at least a full size per day, and it feels much easier for whatever reason

  • I love the cup but it has not replaced my favorite cup. I do not like that it is not spill proof.

  • My Stanley has become my go-to daily water cup. I like how much it holds. I like the straw with no resistance. I like how long it stays cold. Great for a desk, but not leak proof if you use the straw so maybe not ideal for travel or for being out around young kids. All in all though, big fan. And I'm a water bottle nut... I've had hydro flask, bubba, simple modern - you name it, I've done it. The fact that it fits in a cupholder is an added bonus.

  • Not a big fan of this one! On the pro side: it does keep drinks cool for a while. I didn't find it kept them cooler any longer than any competitors though. Cons: It is HEAVY. Even when empty. Once you fill it up, it's a nuisance to carry. It spills when getting knocked over. I've seen additional products you can buy to prevent spills but I'd rather just have a cup that doesn't leak around the sides of the straw opening. (There is another brand that doesn't.) Overall: nothing special over its competitors.

  • I told myself I didn't need another tumbler. I have ~20 in my kitchen cabinets and they're rarely used. In a moment of weakness, I ordered the 40-oz Stanley tumbler in the beautiful Jade color. I couldn't be more obsessed. It fits in the cupholder in my car, it goes to bed with me, and everywhere in between. It's heavy-duty but not too heavy. As long as you put enough ice in it, it stays cold for days.
