quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

I've had my quip toothbrush for the better part of five years. I love the refill function!
After using this for a few years I feel like this toothbrush is a bit of a scam. The battery-powered brush simply vibrates, which (per studies) doesn't actually do anything to clean your teeth as opposed to a rechargeable electric toothbrush. The vibration feature also stops working after a while and while you can order a new motor the process is not as simple as I'd like it to be. I do like how sleek Quips are and easy to travel with.
Feedback
Different sized toothbrush heads. Unfortunately I think the fact that all it does is vibrate is the main issue and I don't think that's something they can necessarily improve unless they create a whole new brush.
I like it, good quality but I wish the heads were refreshed more often.
Feedback
Too expensive to buy at target but don’t want to wait for shipping.

I really enjoy Quip. They have definitely evolved over the time I have used them as they now offer soft bristles. The convenience of it being shipped every three months is ideal. Before using Quip I always forgot to charge my electric brush or change the head or get toothpaste. The floss handpick is okay but I wouldn't recommend it since it kind of crapped out on me a few weeks after I bought it. But I get shipped the head, battery, and toothpaste is so perfect. Also interacted with customer support and they were such a breeze to deal with.

Wish it shipped in a cardboard box instead of a plastic bag.

This toothbrush is average. The bristles aren't as soft as I would like. Also, I know you can change how frequently you receive heads, but once every 3 months doesn't seem like enough. I found myself never turning on the vibrations. It is sleek though...
Not bad but never really felt like it completely cleaned my teeth.

More power.
I have purchased this toothbrush twice now. I keep coming back to it because of its sleek design, the vibration timer, the bristles, the functionality of the cap/holder etc.

I wish it were easier to get replacement heads.
I have the child's toothbrush for my three year old and it makes brushing his teeth easier by far. I feel like they are cleaner than with a manual brush, and it's sized for his mouth. He is not crazy about the toothpaste though.

I wish you had a flouride free toothpaste option.
This is the toothbrush I use everyday and I do like it. However I do have a few issues with it. First, I have read that overall they aren't great toothbrushes compared to other electric brands. I think there is A LOT of wasted plastic when it comes to this brand. My pros are first that I bought these early on, so I have lifetime head refills and a battery for only $5 which can't be beat. They are also extremely easy to travel with, which I am often doing. I haven't had any issues at the dentist either so they can't be terrible.
Feedback
I think they could cut down on their plastic use a lot.

Quite disappointed by quip. After using it for 2 years… I got more cavities and tooth problems than before. Each time I shared I used Quip with my dentist, they rolled their eyes and sighed. That was enough for me to switch back to manual. I did love the customization of different colors and different accessories they have available.

Make a better product that actually works well and is truly dentist approved! :)
This is a great option if you are looking for a lower priced electric toothbrush. The design is sleep and the automatic replacements add to the convenience. I also really enjoy the different colorways you could choose in purchasing the quip toothbrush.

I have sensitive teeth and I could only use my quip for a few months before I was getting significant discomfort. The bristles only come in one strength and it was too much for my teeth and it was causing irritation in my gums.

It's an electric toothbrush really nothing out of the ordinary. It's definitely not as good at cleaning your teeth as the more expensive electric toothbrushes. The toothpaste is weird it doesn't get foamy or anything. The subscription service is nice though

use less plastic waste
As beautiful as these toothbrushes are, I feel that they are not very strong in comparison to Phillips or Oral-B. The battery doesn't last long either. Wish they had more variety of toothbrush heads.

I’ve been using quip for years and it’s fine! I feel like I get a really good clean and the timer on the brush is super helpful. I also use their floss and wish the whole floss was the green waxed part inside of just little parts of it.

I've been using my Quip over a year now and it has definitely improved my brushing habits. I get rewarded for brushing my teeth and the subscription options make it easy to ensure I'm keeping up with my dental hygiene. It's the best electric toothbrush that I've used compared to some other options.
Feedback
Would love to see more options for the rewards and maybe different types of toothpaste options for sensitive teeth, etc.
Very standard electric toothbrush, nothing special for the extra cost.
Besides the beautiful aesthetic and marketing, I really think this toothbrush is just like any other electric toothbrush at CVS.
Feedback
The brush is a little small in my opinion, I have paid less for larger better working tooth brushes.
Toothbrush has a weak vibration and doesn't feel like it give a good enough clean. I do like the reusable floss pick.
I'm a dentist, and I only recommend this to patients as a starter/transition to a "higher end" branded electric toothbrush. The vibration of the bristles barely does anything, and the only real benefit of Quip is the ~luxury~ user experience (portability, subscription brush heads, easy to change battery) and also the timer! The timer is the number one reason why I would recommend this to any patient who is hesitant to switch to an electric toothbrush.
Feedback
The bristles barely move and the vibration is all in your hand.
I have a Quip for me and my 2-kids. The product is sturdy and does its job. The subscription model is great! I like not having to remember to buy a new brush head and it just shows up!
Feedback
I'm not too fond of the excess packaging that comes with the refill, and I don't need a fresh battery that often, so it's a bit wasteful for me. Other than that no complaints :)
