Reviews mention

  • Vibrant flavor variety
  • Refreshing fizzy mouthfeel
  • Lighter, cleaner ingredients
  • Eye-catching playful packaging
  • Lingering stevia aftertaste
  • Occasionally too sweet profile
  • Inconsistent soda dupes
  • Lower carbonation intensity

Poppi earns largely positive reviews as a tasty, lower-sugar soda alternative that many say curbs cravings, feels lighter on the stomach, and sometimes helps with bloating; favorites include Raspberry Rose, Orange, Ginger Lime, Doc Pop, Cherry Limeade, Classic Cola, and Root Beer. Reviews also flag weaknesses: a noticeable stevia/artificial aftertaste for some, occasional vinegary tang or sweetness that runs too high, less carbonation than expected, mixed success of cola/root beer “dupes,” and inconsistent alignment with claimed gut benefits.

  • Tastes good! I tried the Raspberry Rose flavor. I think the packaging is really cute and summery.

Not sure how to tell if there's a difference for my gut health. How many / how regularly would you be drinking these to feel a difference?

  • I really love Poppi. I’m a chronic regular shmegular diet soda drinker and I love that Poppi just tastes great. It doesn’t taste great for being a low sugar soda or in spite of the ACV. It really, truly is yummy and has a “normal” amount of carbonation.

  • I have tried pretty much every flavor Poppi has offered. I would recommend the variety packs as a first purchase to decide what flavors you like before committing to any flavor. Nothing is outstanding but it is a workable soda substitute.

  • There is stevia in this drink. Poppi tastes fairly plain, like a sparkling water should taste in my opinion. The bubbles were at a similar level to soda. I would prefer to not have stevia in my food or beverages due to personal prefrence and health reasons. The Stevia flavor did not come through on this product and there was no off-taste.

  • Poppi was my first introduction to soda alternatives. I like some of the flavors and I’m excited to try the new punch pop. I do think there are better soda alternatives on the market now. I’m pretty disappointed that Poppi sold out to Pepsi.

  • I wanted to like this because it's been everywhere on my feed and OF COURSE that Superbowl fiasco brought a lot of attention. I tried a few different flavors hoping to hit the jackpot but all I could taste was the stevia. I HATE stevia and the aftertaste SO MUCH. It's just not worth it! I'd rather drink flavored water with 0 sugar and 0 "natural" sweetners.

  • I’m not a fan of water—yes, I know that’s a terrible confession for a health coach! But on the bright side, I’m always up for trying any remotely healthy drink to stay hydrated. Mediocre logic? Maybe, but it works for me! One of my favorites is Poppi Raspberry Rose. It’s sweet but not too sweet, with just 4 grams of sugar—not bad at all. It’s bubbly without being overwhelming and feels like a little indulgence. Plus, it’s hands down the easiest and tastiest way to get apple cider vinegar into my system!

  • Overall a good product. It's more like soda than I thought it would be so if that's what you're looking for, you'll probably love it. I usually prefer unsweetened flavored sparkling water, but this one is sweet. The flavors are pretty accurate. I would (and have) recommend this to a friend.

  • I love the taste of this particular Poppi soda flavor. And I'm eager to try more of their flavors. But to me this barely has the Dr.pepper flavor. Still tastes good though! My favorite hands down is the strawberry lemonade Poppi it really captures the essence of a healthy strawberry lemonade soda refreshing! There is a limited edition Wild berry soda called Posty's Soda it is so good the flavor kinda reminds me of a less sour blue raspberry juicydrop pop.

  • IN LOVE!!! Not only with this brand’s marketing and presentation but there is real flavor and it tastes incredible. This is so worth the price and me carrying it around in a tote in philly on the walk back to my place lol. And poppi for me also adds an experience thanks to the amazing packaging and great flavor.

  • I don't really get the hype behind these. Cute packaging, but they don't taste that great, and aren't worth the price. If you put it in front of me, I'd drink it, but I'm pretty indifferent towards Poppi drinks.

  • I love Poppi!! As a gal who often has an upset tummy, poppi truly does help speed things up and settle he stomach. I love to drink it at night as a fun drinky that is not an alcoholic drink.

  • Very very very very sweet, like a sparkling juice with heavy emphasis on the juice. The carbonation department was still lacking for me :( raspberry rose ($2.50): 0/5 too sweet

This tastes like Ice's (the big tall clear bottles) but healthier! I wasn't anticipating the sweetness so I was overwhelmed.

  • Super sweet and flavorful compared to a lot of the other "healthy" sodas, if that's what you're looking for. The flavors I tried tasted way more like just slightly carbonated fruit juices than soda. I also like they include ACV in their drinks.

I don't like the use of Stevia. I'm someone whose stomach is sensitive to it and the affects the taste IMO

  • Poppi is my favorite soda alternative by far. It is bubbly, refreshing, and just the right amount of sweet without being too much. Berry Blast and Strawberry Lemon are my go to flavors because they are bright, fruity, and taste like summer in a can. I love that it feels like a treat but is actually a better choice for my gut. The brand is fun, colorful, and always makes my fridge look a little happier.

  • I was excited to try this because the can was colorful and I thought it would be good. It has prebiotics and I like that part, but was just average flavor wise. I tried a few flavors but the watermelon is the only one I would purchase again.

  • I bought this for a Thingtesting review with no discount. I purchased two cans of POPPI at the Sprouts store. One was Orange and the other was Strawberry Lemon. I thought the carbonation was good not too fizee. The taste of the Orange drink I thought was good. Left no after taste. The Strawberry Lemon had an after taste, I thought. Calories are only 25. They market it as a Prebiotic Soda. A healthier alternative to soda. A regular 12 oz can of coke has 39 grams of sugar. Poppi only has 5 grams. of sugar. A big difference! Company did a great job creating a drink and less sugar. I would recommend if your looking for a low cal drink and wanted something different than water, sparkling water, or soda. I will probably try a few different flavors.

  • "I didn't hate it" is probably damning with faint praise, but after finishing a can of Poppi root beer that was my immediate thought. It's not horrible, but it's got some off tastes that make it clear you're drinking an alternative beverage. "Root beer-ish" is probably how I would define it. The second ingredient is organic cane sugar, so not sure how much "better" it really is, although it contains stevia too (which perhaps explains the slightly metallic aftertaste). Agave inulin seems to be the main prebiotic ingredient. Maybe their other flavors are winners, but I certainly won't be drinking this root beer again anytime soon.

  • These drinks are pretty yummy- a nice alternative to a soda- and I cant believe that they have apple cider vinegar in them- given how yucky ACV usually tastes. For only 5g of sugar, this is a nice alternative to a soda or juice- and was glad I had a few on a recent road trip just to mix it up. I really liked the Raspberry Rose and Strawberry Lemon flavors- I felt they were well balanced and sweet but not gross. The orange flavor is very orange soda like... a bit too sweet for me. But will purchase the others again.

Not convinced on the health benefits. Also, if you have an aversion to the taste- you can def tell that these are stevia sweetened, but I think its fine!

  • I have tried many of the new, carbonated, and health-oriented sodas out there. This may sound weird but Poppi's flavor intensity is by far my favorite. I have a sweet tooth, so I prefer something that has a more pronounced taste. I have found that other "healthy soda" options out there have more of a diluted flavor profile. But not Poppi. You guys bring me to flavor-town 🤑

Not sure about the impact of pre/pro-biotic sodas in general. I don't consume enough to notice the benefit anyway.
