Reviews mention

  • Exceptional durability and construction
  • Lightweight warmth in jackets
  • Versatile, travel-friendly designs
  • Credible sustainability and repairs
  • Inconsistent, confusing apparel sizing
  • Occasional fleece pilling issues
  • Delicate nano puff shell fabric

Patagonia earns overwhelmingly positive reviews and proves itself a good brand: gear is exceptionally durable, warm, and versatile across activities, with standouts like the Nano Puff, Better Sweater, Synchilla fleeces, Atom Sling, and Black Hole bags. Reviews also flag drawbacks—frequent comments on high pricing, inconsistent or tricky sizing (especially women’s bottoms), occasional fleece pilling and Nano Puff snags, a few wind/waterproof performance gaps, and muted styling for some tastes—making in‑store try‑ons and product selection key.

  • Great fitting and functional clothes. Love the customer service and the brand's values.

I wish it was more affordable.

  • Have a number of pieces from Patagonia. All are high quality and long lasting. Expensive, but company has a great mission.

  • Warm, comfortable, durable and cute! Lots of compliments!

  • Patagonia is synonymous with quality. Their products are built to last and perform exceptionally well in various conditions. However, their branding doesn’t quite match the high standards of their products. Despite this, Patagonia remains a staple in the outdoor apparel industry, trusted by adventurers and everyday users alike.

  • I got the nano puff about 6 years ago specifically because I needed a packable jacket that I could whip out on cold days in a city or hikes up a mountain. The jacket doesn’t look out of place in either situation. It packs into its own pocket and with a carabiner I can hook onto the outside of my bag if I am carrying a small bag. If I am ever needing extra warmth I just add a performance fleece underneath and I am usually good. I previously had the hooded version and traded it for the one without. In my personal opinion it just looked goofy and didn’t sit on my head right or was too big of a head hole. Maybe it’s to account for helmets and stuff but with the stuff I was using it for the hood just didn’t look right. I rather throw in a beanie when necessary.

  • High quality products, amazing repair policy, and a truly mission driven brand. I love buying Patagonia products!

  • Great quality clothing. Also love that they have a lifetime warranty. If you have any issues with the clothes you can send them in to get repaired and if you are sick of them, they have a resell program to get a credit and buy new. Love a good reduce reuse recycle

  • Love how high quality everything is from here and also what the brand stands for around climate change. I recently bought a Patagonia jacket and it’s already my go to fav

  • Holds up wonderfully, never goes out of style. Timeless brand, I can wear it with my tech bro friends and my granola friends. I own so much Patagonia gear- one sweatshirt has held up for 15 years in alllll different situations.

  • I think most people are aware of their mission. That only makes it feel worth supporting, but the quality of products is unmatched as well.

  • Such good quality…. But so boring. I equate it with middle aged people who live in the suburbs and criss country ski and shop at whole foods and all those things are great. It’s just not to my taste style-wise

  • Great quality and mission.

Often a little too funky colors for my taste.

  • Life long fan. I love their brand's mission and I will continue to shop with them for a long time! I get my fleece and jackets from them, so mainly winter wear, but everything has held up for years! Can't recommend enough, especially over north face — the quality is not even comparable.

  • As someone who does a lot of outdoor activities, this is one of my favorite brands. Yes, their gear is pretty pricey but it is great quality and lasts. Some of my favorite products are the atom sling bag, the barely there bra, and the nano puff jacket. Sling bag- I get a ton of complements on this bag. I have had it for years and it is still in great condition. Its a great size and perfect for day trips. I swear I bring it with me everywhere. barely there bra- the most comfortable sports bra ever. I think this is one of my favorite bras I have ever worn. SO comfortable and actually works. nano puff jacket- super lightweight and warm. Although it seems thin, it is incredible warm

  • While not the most stylish products they come thru every time on durability, conscious design, and quality. Worth the price tag - I’ve got items from several decades. They will fix anything that rips or breaks and am in sheer admiration of the founder, his mission and his ability to stand up against the tide of corporate greed. Feel proud just to wear the stuff.

  • I love Patagonia products. I have owned many, including a long puffer parka, short fuzzy jacker, vest, pants, and various pullovers. I love the variety in their products, warmth, and commitment to using recycled materials. I wish there were more companies like Patagonia! I recently noticed their tags don't have washing instructions so this would be very much appreciated in future items :)

  • I have tried multiple pieces from Patagonia, both new and used. I love their quality and holds up very well over time. That said, I feel that their fit has been consistently weird and awkward on me. I think their clothing might be suited to someone more muscular, shorter, and curvier. I'm tall/thin (normally xs or s at other brands) and I'm usually forced to size up to M because of proportions, but that sometimes doesn't solve the problem and creates other issues. (For example, the down sweaters never fit--small is too small, and medium is simultaneously too long and tight at the hips, XS fits proportionally but it's too tight overall or too narrow in the shoulders). I can weirdly fit into a kids XL most of the time, but the sleeves are usually too short. Pants/bottoms also do not fit, have never been able to fit into their pants, despite trying multiple sizes and not even accounting for length/inseam. Something about the sizing or fit model must be super weird.

  • I loveeeeeeeeee my down sweater I’ve had for years and I caught it in my wheel of my luggage at the airport (of course I’m devastated) everything I have bought for myself or my kids has always been awesome I’m sure we will be back for more!

  • I have used their coats and vests. They are amazing quality, from a company with an amazing mission. My goal more recently has been pushing myself to use more natural and sustainable fabrics, and I love that I can rely on their products. They work as advertised - I am warm and not disappointed.
