Omsom earns strong reviews for delivering bold, easy-to-use Asian sauces and saucy noodles that help home cooks achieve flavorful results fast, with highlights like the Yuzu Misoyaki glaze, Larb, Krapow, and chewy noodle texture. Reviews also surface drawbacks: portions run small, several flavors lack depth or skew watery/overly spicy, sauce-to-noodle ratios feel light, and packaging reads single‑use and wasteful—useful to know if authenticity, intensity, or sustainability are priorities.

It's the branding that brought me in and the flavors that have me purchasing repeatedly. I love the spicy bulgogi starter especially.

Wish the packets were bigger - need more sauce in my life.
Love me some Omsom. The seasoning starters are absolutely delicious, and make my life a whole lot easier. The included recipes are also very helpful. So much easier / more cost-effective than buying the seasonings separately. The perfect amount of DIY!

Omsom is unreal... I feel like a professional chef everytime I use one of these flavor packets! If I'm craving a real flavor kick for lunch or dinner. I'll cook with Omsom. The brand has opened me to the world of asian cuisine and I will never turn back. The Larb recipe with lettuce wraps is hands down my favorite. Would highly recommend and think this is a great gift for someone who likes to cook and try new things.
Mission, branding, packaging, delightful little touches are all there. We've only tried the bulgogi but excited to try the other flavors.

Worked well as a starter (it's purpose) but we ended up adding a little more sauce.
I've tried two of their noodle flavors. The portion sizes were small and the flavors were very bland, nothing as promised on the packaging. I was gifted the product and would not buy it with my own money. I do like the branding of the products.
It was pretty good but I wanted more flavor. I was happy to see that it’s gluten free. It can be so hard to find gluten free Asian foods.

One word: yum!! I bought the saucy noodle sampler, and they are so easy to make and all so tasty. The spicy flavors could be spicier, but I am a lover of food that burns my mouth. I liked to customize the noodles with different proteins, green onions, and sesame seeds to mix them up.

I've tried most of the sauces at this point, and they're all pretty good, but they aren't magic. I think because of the cardboard box packaging, I originally thought they'd include more, well, something if they're gonna call it a kit. And for a long time, they really only had one or two recipes per sauce, and they'd be like, "cook chicken, add sauce, serve with rice." Basically, a better-branded version of the Old El Paso taco seasoning packets, but for Asian food. I'm glad they've started adding way more recipes to their website, which look to be community generated. And I look forward to trying more of their products. But at the moment the hype and price are ahead of the actual product, for me.
I got two different flavors of the noodles and they were decent! For a quick, easy meal- they got the job done. The flavor was a little lacking and the sauce was kind of watery in my opinion but overall it was better than most quick noodle packets on the shelves. I would probably buy again if they were on sale. Next time I would probably add to them- which it recommends on the package, I was just in a hurry when I tried them.
I love instant noodles, they are usually really convenient, cheap, and taste good. The other day when I was at the store I saw these noodles and thought they looked really cool so I grabbed them to try. But they were expensive. So they already missed one of the targets that appeal to me about instant noodles. But anyways, I really liked the cut and shape of the noodles. I've noticed with the thicker cut instant noodles, they can have a mushy consistency but these were really great. I tried the soy garlic noodles, which I thought had a good flavor but had too many chunks of what I thought was cilantro? I have no idea, but I really wasn't a fan. I also know that the brand advertises for "saucy" noodles, so I knew that it was going to be saucy which I liked. Overall, it was good, just expensive. I would definitely want to try their sauces!
I tried the Omsom garlic soy noodles after getting a BOGO deal from Thingtesting. It was quick and easy to prepare but I don't think I will repurchase. They weren't super flavorful and the flavor they did have wasn't my favorite. I do like the texture so maybe I will enjoy the other flavors more. They are pretty expensive for a single serving.
got the starter set as a gift; delicious flavors, but quality was slightly less than 5 star - one pack was opened & got sauce everywhere. also the larb pack was missing all of the toasted rice packets, which i didn't realize until i was mid-dinner. the company sent me replacement packets of just the rice powder, which i no longer have the sauce for... there are also discrepancies in the printed recipe & online recipes that are confusing, but luckily most of the instructions are just to add to your cooked protein! that all being said, i'd buy them for myself!
I think this is a really solid, tasty product—I particularly like that they came with recipe suggestions. It just wasn't life-changing for me, since I tend to prefer cooking things from scratch when I can.
Reeeeeally spenny, but the sauces were decent. I tried the Korean and Japanese ones. Wouldn't buy again due to the price.
Yes, these are yummy and super easy to cook with! Love the convenience and brand mission too.
Great product with lots of different flavors to explore! The brands packaging, mission, and experience is "loud and proud" and makes cooking at home so much more fun.

All packaging is currently in plastic / cardboard, wonder if there is room for sustainable packaging.

I love the mission of this company and bringing Asian cuisines to your home. Partnering with chefs that want to share their passions with other home cooks. The packaging and branding are also amazing - which adds to the experience!
They changed the recipe for the Larb Gai a while back. It used to be my favorite and a very easy way to make it at home without having to buy lots of ingredients you don’t generally use. Still good but doesn’t come with the toasted rice anymore
Love this brand! I've been buying their sauces regularly for years - obsessed with how easy it is to make really flavourful Asian food with like... no effort. They have plenty of recipes if you're feeling fancy but I've also used some of these as basically a stir-fry sauce on low-energy days and it's still poppin. These will for sure stay in my regular rotation, especially now that you can get individual packets at Whole Foods without having to commit to a whole box.
Elevates a meal like crazy.
