Milk Bar polarizes: reviews praise the in-store classics like Cereal Milk soft serve, Milk Bar Pie, Birthday Cake, and cake truffles as nostalgic, inventive, and delicious, yet many find products overwhelmingly sweet and note uneven quality in packaged grocery items. Reviews also flag inconsistent freshness and multiple failed or late deliveries, while applauding playful branding and gift appeal, plus solid gluten-free options.

The OG Milk Bar Pie was seriously (and surprisingly) delicious. I wasn't expecting it to taste as good as it did (because I don't have a major sweet tooth). Serious props! 🍪
Really great delivery options, and delicious products. I'm not gluten free, but the gluten free cake my friend had that I tried was incredible!
Makes for a great gift for someone on their birthday or if you and a group of friends are going on vacation and want a birthday cake for everyone to enjoy without having to look into local bakeries. It tastes a bit sweet for me but that's my personal preference.

If you are near a Milkbar and can get there when it's just opened with a fresh assortment of baked goods, you'll love it. Over the day, things age as they do in any bakery. The prepackaged treats are good but, prepackaged.

I wish they had more locations around LA!
I've tried a few things from Milkbar and I find most of them way too sweet! I'm of course open to trying more things from Milkbar but it was a bit overwhelming for me.
This was absolutely delicious.
Love these crunchy cookies so much. I won an Eastern raffle on my birthday last year and was gifted the birthday cookies. It was such a yummy treat!
Love milk at, the taste, the mission behind the company, the packaging. Definitely worth a try if you like sweets
Love milk bar. Love the birthday cake truffles and the crack pie. Sadly since it’s no longer freshly baked, they’re not as good, but it’s hard not to love milk bar.
Expensive but yum
Sweet!

Delicious delicious delicious. My friend sent me some cookies for my birthday and was the perfect treat!! So yummy and the perfect gift!
I love how strong the potency of the birthday cake flavor is for both the Birthday Truffle Crumb Cakes and the Soft Confetti Cookies are. Their product designs are immaculate and stunning. On the downside the Birthday Truffle Crumb Cakes were dry and had a powdery aftertaste and the filling of the cookies were overly sweet. The Soft Confetti Cookies also had an powdery aftertaste. These particular products are becoming harder to find also which is kinda a bummer. Overall it's an okay dessert product to eat.
I have the Milk cookbook and a fan of their corn cookies. Their products are quite sweet but I think it’s her niche.

In person the products are (or used to be - I haven't been in store in about 5 years) very good. Their supermarket line is not good. The prepackaged cookies lack the balance of flavors you get in the bakery, hitting you over the head with sugars and fats, without salt or acid or any balancing elements to round out the experience. Maybe this is because the bakers anticipated that the cookies would degrade in flavor by sitting in boxes, or maybe the creative direction/recipe-testing of the supermarket desserts is different from the in-store. Regardless, Christina Tosi and David Chang are both brilliant chefs and I admire their work in-person.
Wayy to sweet for me and really pricey.
When it comes to the treats at the Milk Bar bakery in NYC, LA, and Vegas, the birthday cake balls and fresh soft serve are must-try items. The cereal milk soft serve tastes like the remnants of your favorite cereal in milk and is creamy beyond belief. The birthday cake balls are moist with complimentary birthday cake crumbs which add a really interesting texture contrast. The cookies, however, are inconsistent in terms of freshness. This is especially true for any/all online purchases that are shipped to you. I'd recommend sticking to the fresh stuff in their bakeries.

Love the branding and their creativity, it's a must visit for my NYC out of town guests. Everything I've tried is too sweet for my taste even the cereal milk ice cream that has a tad bit of saltiness is still too sweet for me. I prefer to send MilkBar as a gift.
I got a package of cookies as a gift from a friend and they didn't really live up to the hype for me. They were way to sweet and more crumbly than I was expecting.
