Levain Bakery is famous for its delicious, indulgent, and generously sized cookies, often described as decadent and cake-like. The cookies are praised for their perfect texture, rich flavor, and gooey, chocolate-filled goodness. The cookies are best enjoyed fresh and warm from the bakery. Gluten-free options are equally well-received. However, some customers find the cookies too rich and thick, potentially overwhelming for those who prefer less sweet treats. There are mixed reviews about the frozen cookies sold at Whole Foods, with some customers expressing disappointment at the difference compared to the fresh ones. The bakery's expansion beyond NYC is appreciated but the cookies are considered overpriced by some.

I got an order of frozen cookies from GoPuff and was pretty impressed by how they baked up! Super gooey and tasted quite similar to gourmet cookies.
This is amazing! The cookies are decadent and gooey. They're always slightly warm and fresh baked.

The cookies only come in a few flavors, so it'd be nice if they expanded their options occasionally!.
the cookies are really fun to pick up and they taste great!

kind of expensive! i've also seen a bunch of people replicate them online so not sure i would get them that often

Best cookies ever! Dense, gooey and decadent. Quality ingredients.
The best cookies I've ever had, tried them for the first time in 2014 and it was a life changing experience.
the cookies are flavorful, but I feel like they're a bit too thick & dry for me
Always a good idea. I now go for their vegan option — I wish that they would separate out the vegan and gluten-free alternatives, but certainly better to have something than nothing!
Both the in-store cookies, and frozen cookies are amazing. I haven't had a flavor I didn't like! They are on the more dense side so keep that in mind! They're also huge so they're great for sharing IMO.

These cookies are really more like small cakes! One goes a long way and they are delicious. Great gift, always a hit to bring over for a dinner party!
Great cookies, but over the years, they're not as good as they used to be. Overall, they still hit the spot.
These cookies are insanely good. They are absolutely massive - at least 3x the size of a normal cookie. They come in delicious flavors and have an amazing crunchy but gooey consistency. I really don't think the frozen version compares at all to what you get in the store.
Dreamy, dreamy, dreamy! They are as incredible as everyone says they are.

They do keep for longer than I thought, so don't hesitate to buy a few. They will say fairly fresh in an airtight container for a few days after purchase.
amazingggg! the chocolate chip is to die for. they are large and in charge and amazing with coffee. 10/10

Delicious cookies. I gave it a four stars due to price.
The chocolate chip is a classic but my absolute favorite is the peanut butter. It is a thick and gooey, definitely a hefty dessert or snack.
The best gluten free cookie ever
Purchased the “bake at home” chocolate chip cookie…. It’s good and filled with chocolate chip. Great for the fall winter seasons and at home snacking. Cute date night idea!

My goodness. THIS IS MY WEAKNESS. I am obsessed with Levain cookies. They have the packages you can buy at Whole Foods, but the cookies are much smaller than what you would get from the bakery. I am signed up for their email marketing and they sometimes have free shipping codes. That’s when I bite. These cookies that are shipped from the bakery freeze WONDERFULLY. I actually cut them in half and freeze them individually. My favorite is their oatmeal raisin and chocolate walnut. YUM

Levain's chocolate chip cookies are the gold standard for me when it comes to a special treat. Thick, melty, unctuous. But its loaves of bread are a sleeper hit, too.

So good when warmed up. The walnut adds nuance to the flavor.
