Levain's chocolate chip cookies are the gold standard for me when it comes to a special treat. Thick, melty, unctuous. But its loaves of bread are a sleeper hit, too.

If you're looking for an indulgent cookie, you need not look further than Levian. The cookies are GIANT and ooey-gooey delicious. Brought my Aunt to one of their BK locations and she was obsessed - ended up going back to Ohio and learning how to bake from their recipe so she'd have a personal stash whenever!

I went out of my way to go to Levain and dragged my friend with me in the pouring rain. These cookies are the most overhyped cookie i've had in NYC. They needed salt desperately and were a tad too dry. I'm not someone who has chill and will eat the entirety of whatever is in front of me. I threw away all three flavors i tried because they weren't worth the calories. My friend still shames me for making her buy them. I only gave two stars because some people are hardcore lovers, and taste is entirely subjective.

I was so excited when they expanded their locations to where I live so they aren't just a cookie I can exclusively get on trips to NYC. Personally, I love how rich and gooey Levain cookies are. For an expensive cookie, it's hefty in size! My friends have mixed opinions on them- what I've concluded is that if you enjoy a rich, classic chocolate chip cookie, Levain is for you. If you're a savory and chewy chocolate chip cookie type of person, these may not be your fav. I've ordered them online too and shipping was fast and easy.

Such amazing cookies. Very indulgent so not for people who don’t love rich sweets. However, I do so I’m in luck

I didn't think these could live up to the hype. I was wrong! I cannot explain how good they are. Luckily there isn't one near me (I had one while traveling to Boston) otherwise I'd be indulging way too often.

Ummmm...guys, gals, and pals. This is the OG cookie. Do your taste buds a flavor favor.

These cookies are sent from G-d. Baked outside with a gooey inside. And packed full of chocolate and mix-ins. Absolutely love!!

Levain is famous for their chocolate chip cookies, though their version is more biscuit style and very thick. Lots of chocolate chips too, I usually split one with a friend or two!

This review coming from a super health-oriented person, so inherently biased against Levain. That said, these cookies are amazing. My best bud's mom always has them lying around during the summer, and it's hard not to indulge. I live right by the NoHo NYC location, and always a nutty line on the weekends.

These cookies are DELICIOUS and are truly some of the best I've ever eaten. Buying them in person - totally worth it. Getting them shipped to you if you don't live in NYC? EXPENSIVE. But worth it for a special occasion!

The cookies are extraordinarily rich with awesome texture. The flavor is almost too sweet but nonetheless they’re a fun experience and make dessert “an event”

These cookies are worth the HYPE! Gooey on the inside, perfectly crisp on the edges. I do think they are best fresh, in store but the ability to buy around the country is really a treat. Would recommend gifting the bag of cookies with a bottle of wine for a housewarming gift.

I love gooey cookies, so this was a big hit for me. I love the classic chocolate chip - not too sweet, big and thick, and great texture. Their chocolate bread is also great.

I LOVE Levain Bakery and will always pick it up when I'm in NYC. I even go as far as freezing some of my favorite cookies and popping them in the convection oven when I'm ready to eat. I've ordered online for a few friends as gifts and it's always a hit. Really love Levain so much and am glad they expanded all over NYC.
