Kinfield earns largely positive reviews for effective, deet-free outdoor essentials, particularly Daily Dew and Sunglow sunscreens that apply smoothly with no white cast and a dewy, breathable finish, while Golden Hour bug spray often works and smells far better than conventional sprays. However, reviews note mixed mosquito protection (especially in heavy-bug regions), a very strong lingering scent, occasional greasiness or thickness, and a desire for formats like roll-on or refills.

I was looking for an alternative, natural product to repel bugs. I was so disappointed in the smell of this spray. It is sooo strong and awful, to me it was worse than the smell of the commercial sprays with deet! I ended-ul just going with scent-free major brand bug-off. It was worth a shot, but very expensive.

Tried their sunscreen last year. It was totally worth the hype. It didn't leave a white cast, and my husband loves it too. Goes on smooth and evenly onto the skin. I will they have a roll-on version though.
I purchased Kinfield's Golden Hour repellent when I was looking for a deet-free option. It has a strong, citronella scent, which I don't mind, but would definitely bother you if you aren't a citronella fan!

I was pretty skeptical about the efficacy of product, but also figured it was worth a shot, since I was unwilling to try the conventional bug sprays. I was pleasantly surprised by how well it works! It's certainly not a miracle cure, but normally I get eaten alive by mosquitoes and now I'm only getting a few. As others have noted it has a VERY strong, sweet vanilla scent (like a bad bath & body works perfume), but in comparison to the pungent chemical-y smell of sprays like Off, I guess it's a better choice :)

I've tried their golden hour bug spray and their anti-itch remedy. Both work amazing! I love that they're both more natural solutions to my problem of being an absolute bug magnet. The anti-itch balm is a godsend and bugs really do leave me alone when I use the golden hour bug spray. It doesn't leave a sticky gross residue on my skin at all!

There's no continual spray mode so I feel like I have to spray a ton of times to feel fully covered. The bug spray scent (while not chemically disgusting like most traditional bug sprays) is VERY strong - you will definitely need to spray this outside the house. The anti-itch balm is in kind of an odd push pop packaging but I appreciate that there's no plastic involved!

I had their Daily Dew Sunscreen, which I so desperately wanted to love, and it was me, not them. The thick formula typical of physical barrier sunscreens didn't agree with my fickle skin. I wish they had a lighter version! I would not recommend wearing under makeup.

I'm a real bug magnet so I'm always looking for a bug spray that actually works (and a big plus for more natural/deet-free solutions) and so far this has been working great. It definitely citronella like many other natural bug sprays but they did add some extra scents in to make it smell a little nicer and not give you that generic "bug spray" smell. I will update this review when I stress test this in a real buggy situation though. *I also was sent a little mesh bag with the golden hour spray that I always love when I'm surprised by those in packages!

Really like the problem that Kinfield is solving. Specifically, I really like the Sunday Spray. It smells great, works well, and doesn't have that "sticky" feeling that most aloe products leave. The product packaging has a heft to it that makes it feel premium. You can buy refills, which is great! And I also love being able to read the product label and understand exactly what is in the product I'm about to use.

More availability in CVS, Whole Foods, etc!

I tried the SOS Rescue Mask, and it was pretty good! I used it at night to keep my skin moisturized overnight during the winter when my skin tends to get dry quicker. It definitely helped keep my skin moisturized, and I would wake up with my skin feeling pretty soft. The only thing that was slightly off for me was the thickness/texture, because I felt like I was tugging on my skin a bit to massage it in properly. Other than that, this is a good option for a winter moisturizer!

All of the Kinfield products I have tried are effective and worth the cost. I love the strawberry flavor of the lip balm and it does a great job of protecting my lips from the sun. The golden hour bug spray is one of the first I’ve used where I don’t immediately want to shower after I have applied it. The Sunday Spray is my absolute favorite. The scent is so wonderful and it makes my skin feel great after a day outside. I keep it in the fridge for added impact.

I tried their Daily Dew Sunscreen some time ago and I think it's decent. I got the mini size so it's very easy and convenient to carry around and the SPF 35 is good for daily use. I liked that it's water and sweat resistant as well.

Kinfield has filled a huge gap for anyone who spends time outside. These products are great for backpacking or sitting by the pool. The bug spray is the most unique and now I can't live without it! I also love the Kinfield merch and receive compliments everytime I wear my OOO visor, fanny pack, or bandana.

Refill for Golden Hour, please! Also, I'm personally trying to buy fewer plastic products. Glass would be tough for on-the-go but perhaps aluminum?

I can't say enough good things about this brand. I have loved everything i've tried from kinfield, everything from the bug spray to the sunscreen! The founder is a gem. She really puts in the work behind the scenes to create a high-quality product. This brand is worth trying!

I purchased this last summer and did not really get a chance to use it that much. I do like the packaging and overall mission of the company!
Best bug repellent spray ever. The scent is so nice that I sometimes spray it on even when I’m unlikely to encounter any bugs.

I have tried both the bug repellant and the after-sun spray and love them both. The bug spray has a great creamsicle-like scent (y'know, if you dipped a creamsicle in citronella, haha) and is surprisingly effective. I like knowing that Im not smearing myself in DEET/other harmful things. The true test of the bug spray was while camping along a river, in late August in rural West Virginia. The mosquitoes at the campground were *huge*, and hanging out at camp making dinner around dusk *should* have resulted in getting eaten alive, but I think I only got one or two bites the whole week. The aloe after-sun spray has a super fresh and slightly herbal-minty scent and definitely feels cooling and soothing if I've been a little lax with my sunscreen.

The products are definitely pricy, and I wish the packaging wasn't plastic.
Their Daily Dew sunscreen is a nice facial SPF option. I would say it takes some effort to get it to blend in (over some others I've tried), but it's a nice clean SPF option.

Ir really liked this product, came in a great container! Shipped quickly- and is super cute. It really has a strong smell, which my sister hated. But I didnt mind at all- its natural so you kind of know what is going to happen! Its not as gross smelling as other natural brands- a bit more sophisticated. But, wouldn't waste perfume if you are reaching for this later! In terms of use- I found it very effective for 2 hours. My family had the same experience, after 2 hours on the dot- the buggies came back! Good to know the parameters, but also as expected!
I love that Kinfield is a deet free bug spray—it does not have that harsh chemical smell when you spray it. The product works reasonably well too given that it is deet free. I actually like the smell (notes of essential oils) and it doesn’t feel sticky on my skin! The packaging and branding is also really cute 😊

A roll on bug spray dispenser if it doesn’t already exist in your product line.
