  • Eco-conscious aluminum packaging design
  • Herbaceous, refreshing product scent
  • Travel-friendly compact containers
  • Concentrated formulas use minimal product
  • Tricky emulsification learning curve
  • Inconsistent lather and residue
  • Occasional dryness or irritation
  • Fiddly lids and caps ergonomics

Everist earns mixed reviews: its concentrated shampoo, conditioner, and body wash impress with fresh herbal scents, travel-ready tins/tubes, and results that leave many hair types soft, shiny, and clean, but others report greasy residue, dryness, scalp irritation, and a learning curve to find the right water-to-product ratio. Reviews praise eco-conscious aluminum packaging, minimal waste, and long-lasting formulas, yet note hard-to-open lids, tricky caps, inconsistent lather, and some products underperforming on thick, curly, or color-treated hair.

  • [Shampoo] The concentrated format is the standout: a small amount lathers well and cleans thoroughly without stripping. My scalp feels comfortable, and there’s no heavy scent or synthetic after-feel. I haven’t seen instant differences in density, but as a daily cleanser, it performs reliably and feels quality. A solid choice if you value efficiency and a clean rinse. [Conditioner] I appreciate that this conditioner is concentrated—it makes the product feel efficient and better value. The texture spreads easily and rinses clean without residue. I haven’t noticed any immediate change in hair density, but it leaves my hair soft and manageable, which is what I care about day to day. Overall, it seems like a well-made product with a practical format. I’d keep using it for the feel and finish, even without density effects. [Ever Boost] Ever Boost’s concentrated approach is smart—I like that you don’t need much per use. While I haven’t noticed immediate changes in hair density, the product integrates smoothly into my routine and doesn’t leave buildup. It feels like a thoughtful, well-formulated booster that supports overall hair feel, even if density results may take longer. Overall impression: nice product, easy to use, and quality execution.

  • Was very interested to try Everist when I learned about it through the Thingdrop! The Shower Essentials Travel Kit concentrates has completely replaced my old travel bottles. They are more sleek, take up less space, and I don't have to worry about anything spilling. It took me a second to figure out how to use the product, but one or two tries I got it down pat. I kept the body sponge and dry brush at home and really enjoy both. The Dry brush bristles were a bit harsher than the other drybrush I had, but I felt a difference with my skin right away.

  • It is an adjustment to use this product. It is very thick and even with the help of the tube key, the shampoo is incredibly hard to get out. The caps are hard to place back on when wet as well. The actual formula for the shampoo is great. I love the scent and gentle cleansing. The conditioner is not quite moisturizing enough for my wavy hair. Will purchase the shampoo again!

  • I first saw this company when they came to the market with their shampoo concentrates. It was an interesting concept back then. I am not a huge fan of the metal toothpaste tube packaging as there is so much waste and frustration even with the tool. I also feel like i still have to use just as much. So this time, I decided to try some of their other products. The body washes feel really nice and the clips are very pretty! I am excited to try out the body oil once mine runs out!

  • As someone who travels with carry-on only, I am always looking for ways to minimize the amount of liquids I bring. The shampoo and conditioner concentrate are a great way to do this! The travel tins that the travel-size products come in are more than enough for a 1-2 week trip, depending on how often you wash your hair. My hair needs a lot of moisture, and the conditioner worked great. I have tried liquid-free shampoo and conditioner bars, and the Everist shampoo concentrate works comparably to those. I have always struggled with conditioner bars, and the Everist conditioner concentrate works significantly better than those. I would highly recommend these products for anyone who is looking to minimize liquids in their carry-on luggage. The Body Oil spritz was also a good product, but I would not pay full price for it again. It smells great (very woodsy, citrus essential oil smells), but I did not feel like it performed significantly better than a standard lotion. I also found the spray bottle annoying to use; I would try to spray the oil on my legs, and it would accidentally end up all over the floor.

  • The shampoo was dry and fell out of the half filled tube in small pieces. That was very disappointing to see a half filled tube especially at the price point. There is no way to get 50 washes out of one tube. I followed the directions but it took 2 shampoos to get any lather. The conditioner was slightly better. Silky and creamy. Glided out of the tube. I bought it specially for travel this summer. My jury is still out.

  • The shampoo and conditioner combination was a great experience whenI I first tried these products in the little travel tins so eagerly I ordered the larger sizes. Sadly, my hair and scalp were burned quite badly by the products and I am going to try smaller amounts to see if that is the problem. As well, when I emailed Everist about my burnt scalp and hair, they did not respond. While I will try smaller amounts of shampoo and conditioner next time I do my hair, I am completely unsatisfied with their service.

  • I love Everist products, I use their shampoo and conditioner and find them great for my hair. I'm also a big fan of their sustainable efforts including the recyclable packaging that is plastic free and the key to use to get all the product out of the tube! I also use their konica charcoal body sponge and love it as well.

  • I wanted this to work, as I loved the idea of having a super concentrated conditioner that I could hydrate myself with water rather than wasting water and shipping weight. However, I didn't find that it really hydrated my hair very well. It didn't feel any different than a normal conditioner. I have curly hair, maybe that matters?

  • I absolutely LOVE the body wash. So fun & unique and smells and feels amazing. Most body washes are 70% water... which is crazy because you're adding it to water in water! Their products are 100% plant based and water-free! The tube is so satisfying to turn in the shower and watch the concentrate turn to a thick nourishing body wash!

I encourage you to look up the ingredients list & what the products free of on their site! It's pretty great... and a simple way to make your shower routine more fun!

  • I would give this brand 6/5 stars if I could, I absolutely love this brand. I love the mission, the packaging was all recycled and nothing was included that didn't need to be included. I got the conditioner, and used it for the first time yesterday. I wasn't totally sure how much to use, so I think that'll take a little time getting used to, but it was great. It didn't smell that strong in the bottle, but on my hair it smelled really pepperminty. I'm so excited to keep using this, and I'm going to get the shampoo now too!

  • I love this conditioner! It's rich and conditions well without weighing down my hair and does a decent job fighting off the frizz I get from hard water. Sidenote: when it comes out of the tube it has the faintest smell and it's a little reminiscent of dog shampoo. It doesn't last and certainly doesn't hang out in the hair, but if your super sensitive to smells; be prepared. I like the whole experience and will probably buy this conditioner again.

  • I really wanted to love this as I'm in the market for new clean shampoo and conditioner. I really like the concept and the objectives of the company, but the shampoo left my hair greasy. I tried the shampoo and conditioner four times with the hope that I did something wrong the first few times, but every time it left behind residue. I was very surprised by this as I wasn't using much product, and I spent more time than usual trying to rinse it out. I really disappointed that these didn't work for me as I saw so many positive reviews and really like the idea! Otherwise, the smells were subtle but very nice, and I liked the amount of lather. The packaging is great and minimal, although the tins are a bit hard to open in the shower.

  • Not a huge fan of this conditioner. Even if I use a lot, and leave it in for a while, my hair doesn't feel moisturized and soft afterwards. I did used to bleach my hair and so it needs a lot of conditioning/treatments, but I don't think the conditioner concentrate does what it states. I respect the mission and appreciate the less-is-more mentality, however it's been sitting on my shower shelf for like, a year now because I gravitate toward more trusted brands in haircare.

  • I purchased the shampoo and conditioner set. I have tried a number of different shampoos over the years such as cowashes and solid shampoo bars. My hair is fine and damaged at the ends from bleach, my scalp is very oily so I wash my hair every day. I was really enjoying the eco factor of the solid bars and randomly saw an ad for Everist. I was intrigued by the product so decided to try. Firstly, the price was pretty high but the mention of ‘concentrate’ gave me hope that the product would last me a while with my fin, shoulder length hair. The packaging is cool and the finicky lid and metal tube didn’t deter me. The shampoo did clean my hair well, but during the lathering it instantly knotted up my hair, the low amount of lather makes the product difficult to disperse all through the hair and i found it hard to tell if I had managed to clean all of my hair. I then tried the conditioner, now that my hair felt super knotty I was stuck between wanting to use a small amount to get maximum uses out of the tube but also I wanted to be able to untangle the knotted mess on my head. I carefully worked the conditioner through my hair and found that it didn’t feel very conditioning. On drying my hair it was clean and felt like normal. I think my issue with this product is it seems like they have created a totally new thing that never needed to exist. If they were truly concentrates then water could be added and the products used like normal products, but what they are is more like a skincare product for your hair which you end up having to use a similar amount to your regular shampoo while struggling with a product that is difficult to use. I watched a demo YouTube video where the person had similar hair to mine and they used probably half the amount of product that I had been using, it wasn’t lost on me that this person’s hair looked oily. I tried with the reduced amount and thought that I had managed to make it work… until I dried my hair and found it was super oily. I am a bit miffed at the large number of positive reviews for this product and makes me a bit suspicious, i haven’t seen any mentions of hair feeling really knotty when using the shampoo as I have found every day that I use it. So, after much consideration I have decided it’s a no from me.

  • I was very excited to get to try this out through ThingTesting. I have curly, coarse hair and it has been a lifelong journey to find the right combination of conditioners, cremes, gels and shampoos that don't dry out my hair more and make the curls come alive. I had fairly low expectations venturing into the Everist conditoner. I like the concept, the packaging, the key to squeeze the tube along. I initially didn't like the scent, but it didn't linger and wasn't as overpowering as I thought it would be. It's sort of minty, but not overwhelming. I wish my hair liked this conditioner as much as I did, but alas it made my hair feel very dry and did nothing for my curls. For all of you with "normal' hair, I believe you will find this to be very enjoyable.

  • I loved the idea of these products, especially for the gym or travel. I tried keeping them in my gym bag, but I just found that they weren't hydrating enough and its hard to measure your own dilution of water while in the shower. I got the sample back (shampoor, conditioner, body wash) and was pretty underwhelmed. Great idea, but just didn't go anything for me results-wise

  • I love the waterless idea of this product! And the key that is included so that you can squeeze out every last bit of the product! I ordered the deep conditioning concentrate. It smells wonderful! I have a massive amount of highlighted hair, and it didn't work as well as I wanted it to. Too much left me greasy, and too little left me tangled. I ended up mixing it with a regular hair conditioner in my shower. I still really like what they stand for, and would probably order another product to give it a try.

  • The product is excellent, however for my type of hair you need a lot more than what they suggest. I have long curly hair and it’s not efficient and costs way too much. It’s very good for short hair!

  • Love the concept of this shampoo and conditioner. No water, concentrated, etc. I used it twice and both times it made my hair shed a lot! It does make my hair nice, but I just wish the excessive shedding wouldn't occur. I've emailed them 3 times on how to return this per the return policy but they either do not respond or tell me how to use the product (not what I asked). I do not need help on how to use it. It's cause shedding so obviously I do not even want to use it again.
