didn't feel like i used less product than average but i have thick, dry, coily hair that needs a lot of product so i don't see myself replacing my staples if just for the more economical sizes. My hair did feel moisturized though which was surprising become i felt that products like this were more so for thin, straighter hair types.

I was excited when I saw the travel duo on a Thingtesting offer!  For context I have thick, straight hair that gets oily fast. 

I'm really torn on this duo. It's a bit of a learning curve on the concentrate/ water ratio and took me a couple times to get it right. Also, the mini tins are kind of hard to open. 

For the shampoo: This is my first time using a shampoo like this so once I got the ratio down, it bubbled up surprisingly well for something with no SLS. For the conditioner: I felt like it took longer to rinse out of my hair, and my hair felt less soft compared to my regular stuff. Had to use a few extra sprays of my leave-in conditioner. 

I'm really happy that I got to try it and love the brands mission but I don't think I'd buy the duo again at full price. If you're curious about the full size products, then I say give it a try bc everyone's hair is different! 

I tried the concentrated conditioner from the thing drop. I do like the packaging and it comes with a key that makes it so you can really get every last drop. I think my hair does feel very nice after I use it, but I’ve noticed a slightly weird smell when I blow dry after use. 

This hits all the elements of product design and utility for me! Both the shampoo and conditioner have clean ingredients, don't have unnecessary ingredients (e.g. water), are packaged plastic free in minimalist sustainable/recyclable containers,  and most importantly do their job very well. Because they use glycerin as the base both the shampoo and conditioner work great at their respective functions while leaving your hair soft. The aroma is very simple and clean, I get hints of rosemary, which I love. The product is truly unisex.

As a guy, who has been traveling a lot the past month for conferences, the travel kit has been great at keeping my packing to minimal saving a lot room in my toiletry bag.

I will buy the full size products for sure!

I want to start off by saying that I am a complete novice at concentrated shampoos and conditioners, so my experience could be completely user error.

I used the travel duo on a recent trip and literally kept smelling an awful smell and realized that it was MY HAIR. The texture of my hair is terrible now and very frizzy. 

Additionally, I had to toss out one of the containers because the lid got stuck and I couldn’t close it. 

I struggled with knowing if I mixed the right ratio of water vs. product 

I do think they're great for traveling!

This product does nothing for my hair. I guess the concentrate could be useful for travel, but I don’t see a point for it otherwise. It’s hard to get the right mix of water so I end up using more than I’m probably supposed to and it evens out to whatever I’d use of non concentrated products. 

I wanted to love Everist, because I'm a frequent traveler.  Being able to save space in my toiletry bag for concentrate shampoo & conditioner is a big win for me.  Unfortunately, this was not it.  This is my first time using concentrate so my ratio may have been off, but I felt like I could never get enough product in my hair.  I tried it for 3 washes over the course of a week and ultimately chucked the travel tins because they are too difficult to open and use in the shower (cue much frustration), and I could never get the concentrate to lather or fully cover my hair.  To their credit, their customer service is lovely, but they also took weeks to ship my product because one item was out of stock and they never notified me until I reached out and asked what the shipping status was.  Great great concept, fell a little flat in actual product for me.  FYI, I have thick, long Asian hair.  Not sure if that was a factor. 

When the brand first launched, I bought the 3 pack of shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. At the time, I wasn't very impressed - it was cool in concept (waterless concentrated body care), but the execution wasn't the greatest beyond the aluminum tube and recyclable cap. When it had first launched, not many other beauty companies were focused on packaging sustainability, and Everist focused a lot of their marketing efforts on educating about the infinite recyclability of aluminum (and not so much on their formulas - something that they've even talked about during their recent marketing email!). The actual product itself was lacking, though, even though the ingredients were impressive. And the conditioner was especially a horrible experience, making my hair extremely dry.
I love the brand's commitment to listening to their customers' concerns - they revamped their formulations and have also released tin packages. 
I was able to try the revamped Deep Conditioning Concentrate through a Thingdrop and I'm so so impressed at the difference between its first iteration and now. It works better than my fully liquid/bottle pump conditioners, and has a very pleasant texture and smell (especially compared to the first version). I've also seen that they've revamped the Shampoo concentrate as well with even better ingredients, and I'm super excited to try that in the near future! 
As someone who breaks out with most other shampoos, I can only really use something like SEEN haircare. But the original shampoo and both the conditioners have not broken me out, so again, very excited to try the new shampoo.
I'm under the impression that the body wash formula hasn't changed, and I remember really enjoying that one. It foams up really well so it's just as great or even better than most liquid body washes. 
I've only tried these in tube forms, so I can't say much about the tin packaging, but I'd imagine that they are better for travel. The tiny cap sometimes bothers me in the shower and it can take a few tries to screw on just right. 
Otherwise, love love love this brand and its commitment towards sustainability, great formulas, and listening to their customers!

2 yrs & counting. Would never stray from the best sustainable S/C combo. They now go on every vacay with me due to the lasting decadent herbal scents, immediate hair/scalp cleanliness,  and the conditioning/defrizz of my hair speaks "volumes". Took only 2 tries to nail down the right dollop amount from the tins, and now use both tins/tubes-both so ez. Love everything about Everist and its ESG business angle.
