E.l.f earns strong reviews for delivering high-performing, cruelty-free dupes—standouts include Power Grip Primer, Camo Concealer, Putty Blush/Bronzer, Halo Glow Liquid Filter, and excellent brushes—proving the brand is good and often comparable to prestige. Reviews also flag inconsistencies: hit‑or‑miss formulas, sticky primers for some, creasing concealer without setting, messy or leaky packaging, short product quantity, and irritation or breakouts on sensitive skin.

With melasma kicking my behind lately, I've been looking into vitamin c serums. I've tried a few but many did not work for me. I've been using Elf Skin Bright Icon daily and it's slowly making my skin glow and getting rid of that upper lip darkness that is so embarrassing. I like the bright orange bottle design and the dropper design that makes it easier to apply onto the skin. I usually wash my skin with a cleanser (elf skin clean freak daily cleanser) then apply the serum. Usually on my face and neck, a little bit goes a long way! One thing I never forget is wearing my sunscreen daily, especially in the state where I live there's always lots of sun! Don't forget as the package lists to store this serum in a cool and dark spot so it lasts a while and doesn't spoil. I love that this particular serum not only has vitamin C 15% but also vitamin E 1% and .5% ferulic acid. As someone who has combination skin, this worked well for me without any major reactions, which is great as I have sensitive skin as well. This 1 fl oz seems to last a while despite me using it daily, in fact I can see it would last a couple of months. I don't need to pour gallons of this serum but just a little bit on my palm and apply. I highly recommend this!!

Many of the products don’t have enough quantity to compare to other higher-end brands, and in the long term becomes more expensive, however some of their products are good choices if you’re seriously in a financial struggle

As someone who has tried every beauty product known to mankind, I am consistently impressed with a wide variety of ELF's offering - my favorites are the primer, setting spray, clear eyebrow gel, and blush tint!

I love how affordable ELF feels yet performs well I have a few staples that really work for me though not everything hits it out of the park I appreciate the value, but some products you can definitely tell are cheap.

e.l.f. is super affordable and vegan, which is a big plus. I always grab their mascara when I need a new one as it does the job without fuss. Their lip liners also go on really smoothly and don’t look over the top. Excellent basics when you think about the price. The company just bought Rhode too, which I'm veryyyy excited about.

The e.l.f. Power Grip Primer delivers on its promise—it gives skin a tacky, hydrated base that locks in makeup beautifully and rivals high-end options. It’s a game-changer for longevity and glow. That said, the amount of product feels minimal, and I ran through it faster than expected. The concealer offers solid coverage and a creamy feel, but it can crease under the eyes if not set well and may cause breakouts for sensitive skin over time. Great for the price, but best with a good prep routine.

This lip balm is so cute and actually works—it makes my lips feel soft and juicy. It gives a sheer tint and a glossy finish without feeling sticky. I love keeping it in my bag for quick hydration on the go!

I enjoy many elf products include the super primer, brushes and buildable soft glas foundation. I have yet to try the sunscreen and foundation blend but I will pass on the product as sunscreen needs to be reapplied multiple times a day. For the price and quality, I’m very impressed by elf.

Elf lash xtndr mascara is my holy grail. I've tried so many different mascaras, but this one lasts all day without fading onto my undereye or flaking off. It washes off easily, too. I wear it every day and will always keep this in my rotation. I also really like ELF's makeup setting spray and some of their lip products as well, but the mascara is by far their best product!

This has been my go-to foundation for about 3 years now. I got it as a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury foundation and it works great! I also got two shades so that it will match my skin tone all year round. Definitely great quality for the price.

I've tried a handful of Elf products, and they're typically reliable and always a great value for the price. I like the cool undertones of the Halo Glow Contour, and the fuzzy wand makes it easy to blend. However, the packaging is also kind of messy, and the product itself is smaller than I thought it would be. I've been a loyal user of the Suntouchable Woah Glow sunscreen, but it isn't the most oily skin-friendly and does sting my eyes if I sweat.

Have and will always love e.l.f. Beauty. Their affordable products are high-performing staples. The Liquid Liner creates eyeliner wings effortlessly. The Eyebrow Pencil is a seamless, perfect color match. I use the brown Eyeliner Marker for fast, realistic faux freckles. Plus, the Blush has fantastic color payoff for the price. My only complaint is, while the liquid lip balm is a great dupe for Summer Fridays, the top component came apart and I'll need to send an email to customer service. E.l.f is a great performing brand for a gal on a budget.

I’m honestly blown away by this sunscreen. I got a sample and wasn’t expecting much, but WOW — it delivers exactly what it promises. It’s lightweight, blends in seamlessly, and gives the prettiest natural glow without looking greasy or glittery. It wears beautifully under makeup (almost like a dewy primer) but also looks great on its own for no-makeup days. It doesn’t pill, doesn’t leave a white cast, and feels hydrating without being heavy. I’ve tried a ton of sunscreens at all price points, and this one easily competes with the high-end brands. Such a pleasant surprise — I’ll definitely be getting a bigger size especially at the price!

E.l.f's Camo Color Corrector in shade Peach work's pretty well as a color corrector. I would say I have pretty defined/dark eyebags, and this does help conceal them without necessarily changing the overall tone of my eyebags which I like! I have found it doesn't particularly brighten the under eye, but rather smooths the overall skin tone around my eyes out.

Elf cosmetics lipsticks are really good if you are starting out your make up journey they lost really long. I love most of their shades, but my favourite shade is shameless. Looks very pretty on almost all skin tones.

The e.l.f. toner has helped my skin stay hydrated and clear! My pores look smaller, and I’ve noticed fewer breakouts since I started using it. I use it every day in my skincare routine and highly recommend it! 💖

I was pleasantly surprised by this lip balm! It has a buttery texture that melts onto the lips and leaves behind a natural, dewy glow. The color payoff is soft but buildable—perfect for everyday wear or a no-makeup look. It feels more like a high-end tinted balm but at an affordable price. What I love most is how moisturizing it is without being sticky. My lips feel smoother even after it wears off. The packaging is sleek and compact—easy to toss in a purse.

ELF has long had a reputation for the best value beauty products. For reasonable prices they churn out product after product that lands on dupe listicles for being the affordable version of a luxury cosmetic product with matched quality and performance. My personal favorite products from them are the camo concealer, the matte primer, and their brow gel.

I use the e.l.f. Prism Eye Shadow Palette all the time and I am in love. The makeup is good quality, a good price, and I have gotten so many compliments on my eye makeup whenever I wear it. I am not a hard core makerup wearer but I like to use a little and create a natural look whenever I go out. This eyeshadow allows me to do exactly that. There is a subtle sparkle to it that adds a nice touch without being overdramatic.

E.L.F. is one of my go-to cosmetic brands. The price makes it affordable for me to get more than once in a while. The quality is excellent as well. I appreciate the variety of products and the fact that the company uses cruelty-free, vegan ingredients in their cosmetics.
