Dagne Dover earns strong reviews for smart, pocket-rich designs that travel well, from the Dakota backpack and Landon Carryall to the Allyn and Signature totes, which many say are durable, sleek, and easy to organize—so yes, the brand works. However, critiques surface around heavy leather totes, neoprene quirks (bubbling, creasing, sagging, staining, strong odor), zippers that scratch or stick, and some size/fit frustrations, making careful style and material selection important before buying.

I've been a customer of Dagne Dover since 2016. The brand had me hooked when press covered the owners who developed the company after perpetually being disappointed in the mainstream luxury bag brands that are so popular but often fall flat with performance, practicality, and quality. The first item I bought was a black, pebble leather card wallet that can fit 7+ cards and has a magnetic closure. I was passing their pop-up in New York and had to go in and check it out. It's so sleek and compact and even when I look to replace it with something new, nothing on the market compares. It also fits in every bag I have—even the tiny arena-sized bags for concerts and games. I've also been super happy with their neoprene backpacks and duffles—I have two of each. I use them for travel, work, and the gym. The black backpack and duffle have been seized by my husband, so I had to replace them. I love the colorways they have and how the items are offered in a range of sizes, colors, and the sales are phenomenal. I'm a fan for life and am so proud that they are sold in Nordstrom and other retailers now.
Love their large diaper backpack. I was influenced by a friend of mine that loved hers. I recommend the large size. I like having a lighter color, even though it stains, it is way more visible to see stuff at the bottom of the bag.
My absolute favorite bags of all time. I have the duffel + the large tote. So well structured, BEAUTIFUL colors & fabrics…they always knock it out of the park.

I can't imagine traveling without my Dakota backpack! This is hands-down the best bag for travel, especially if you're just looking to bring a carry-on. I have enough space to fit all of my toiletries, laptop, water bottle, book, and clothes for a four-day trip in this bag without issue!
I have three items from them -- a backpack, duffel bag, and a cosmetic bag. Pros: I've had them five years, and they are all in great shape! Cons: They show dirt pretty easily!
I purchased the heather grey, medium neoprene backpack about 1.5 years ago, which I've used pretty much every day since. It's held up in amazing condition -- the quality is great. I get compliments on the backpack all the time, which is fun! More recently, I've tried out Mila Toiletry Organizer, which is a staple of mine when packing toiletries for weekend trips.

I'd love to see the neoprene line continue to be flushed out and developed, as I really think it's so unique among comparable brands, and really holds up well. Feels upscale without being "too luxury" to the point where you're worried about scratching something.
comes with us on every weekend trip - high quality and beautiful
Amazing founders with a great mission. High quality bags that are practical and reasonably priced.

I’m obsessed with my diaper bag! So many pockets and compartments to hold things and be organized! I feel like it’s also cool enough to use long term for travel, etc. I really want to try the tokyo turnkey! Looks gorgeous!
I have a backpack that I purchased 5+ years ago, and I use it for commuting and traveling, and it's still holding up well. I also recently purchased a phone sling, which is convenient for when I only need to carry the essentials.

Loooove the neoprene makeup bags. They last so long and they have such a good feel. Also stretchy!

I wanted to buy the laptop case recently, but just couldn't pull the trigger because it felt too expensive
We have the black diaper bag and overall pretty pleased with it. It's a nice backpack that doesn't look like a diaper bag which is most of the appeal.

The pockets/sections could be better designed to help with organization and the material gets dirty pretty quick for a diaper bag. Mine currently looks like a disaster
We have the diaper bag and love all of the compartments and elements included. I do wish that these were machine washable though. The lighter colored neoprenes definitely can get stained and even look dirty by water marks alone.
i own their medium size daily tote, and it’s been 2.5 years since i got it. it’s held up well despite me traveling with it and carrying it around every week. there are a ton of organizational pockets, including specific ones for tablets, laptops, pens, keychain holder, and water bottles. as someone who used to be that kid that threw papers into their backpack instead of a folder, this bag has been life changing. looking forward to getting another color or design!
I have the Nova Sling and the Kitty Crossbody. I love the organization on both pieces, but they don't hold as much stuff as they look like they could fit and sometimes I find the puffiness a little bulky.
I love Dagne Dover! After I using my bags for over a year I’m looking at returning to them for some travel bags I have the Epic Crossbody (seems to be discontinued) which I don’t use that much but is a cute, well made bag and versatile My work bag for over a years, the Allyn Tote in medium is amazing. It’s held up really well, the leather is still in great condition (I am NOT careful/precious with my bags) my only complaint is the non laptop sleeve side of the bag doesn’t have and support and had gotten a little floppy and creased. The bag has great built in organization - the key leash is a life changer! The company is great for maximum organization with a minimalist look.
I own one Dagne Dover duffle that I bought in 2019. It's great quality and still looks like new. It's the perfect size for a gym bag and it comes with all the right amounts of pockets and small stash bags.

They stopped creating as many limited edition colors as frequently as they did before, which is a bummer for any bags you buy now.
I have their landon carryall large (neoprene) and their signature tote. I love the neoprene's versatility and how it is both big and sturdy enough to catch whatever I throw in (I throw in a lot!) It also has a handy hook-thing on the back to loop it through the handles of a carry on suitcase which makes it a perfect carry-on. I wish my neoprene had a separate compartment for a laptop. The signature tote is a great work bag with lots of pockets and compartments, but can be a little too big / heavy too quickly.
I received the Scuba bag as a gift, and used it as a gym bag and overnight bag. I like the material as you don't have to worry about it getting wet or dirty. The cross-body strap isn't the most comfortable if you're carrying it for a long time, but otherwise it's a great bag. I really appreciate how stretchy/malleable it is for travelling - you can fit a lot in it, but it'll squeeze into overhead bins if you need it to.

The Dagne Dover diaper bag is a must have for new parents. It’s very large to carry everything you need (and don’t). It’s easy to clean and is high quality.
