  • These bad boys DO NOT LEAK!!!! That's huge obviously. Practically, I don't love having to stick my hand/fingers in to get product out especially skincare and also if you're in the shower the products inevitably get diluted. The size is convenient for sure. They are the best option I think for someone who is frequently taking short trips.

  • Looove cadence. I am a carry on only girly so having cadence in my travel system makes it super easy for me to pack everything I need in my carry on ONLY! The quality is amazing, the aesthetic is on point. One thing I can say is preorders can be a little finicky- think year long delays. But for their ready to ship items it’s a yes for me. 09.14.25 update, I bought the parcel! I like it because it’s stylish and aesthetically pleasing. It fits my capsules well and the magnetic closure is handy. I will say it doesn’t stay open so it’s difficult to grab what I need out of it but I guess that will change with more use.

  • I’ve been a fan of Cadence since they first launched their capsules. There are so many attention to detail features that I love - from the magnetic caps that stick to the side of the capsule, to the interchangeable (also magnetic!) labels. The capsules have been so helpful with travel!

  • (Review from an aesthetic and functional girly perspective.) I have followed and supported Cadence for a long time, beginning with their Original Capsules set. My initial intention for getting the capsules was to reduce the amount of travel products I purchased, and the Original Capsules seemed like an eco-friendly and aesthetic option. In addition, I love supporting small businesses/brands. It's also a huge plus that the CEO and founder is a female POC! The Original Capsules were small, but easy to travel with. They were weighty, but not as much as the new capsules. Each capsule could hold enough shampoo and conditioner for a few days use, especially since I don't wash my hair everyday. I also used them for vitamins/pills, facial cleanser, toner, serums, sunscreen, body lotion, etc. I ran into the issue of cracking capsules several times, and each time I reached out to customer service, they were prompt in resolving my issue. They had me send in my cracked capsules for replacements. Besides the cracking issue, the only other problem I had was that one capsule was often not enough product for an extended trip. I decided to upgrade to the new capsule system a year or so after its launch since they were larger and could be expanded with the Extender. The opening on the new/current capsules is larger so product flows out very quickly (too quickly). The seal on the capsules is a bit misaligned on some of the capsules, but not a huge deal. Cadence also released the Adapters and the Spatula to help with getting product out. I have not purchased either of these, so I cannot comment on them at the moment. Nonetheless, I use the capsules every time I travel. I also usually carry one with pills and one with sunscreen in my bag. In addition, I purchased the Parcel. I think the Parcel is my favorite product from Cadence that I've purchased thus far. It's well-designed, and the magnetic closure is very secure and easy to maneuver with one hand, unlike zippers. The capsules also fit into the Parcel perfectly. I love that they magnetize together when open, and they're easy to travel and organize with. Overall, Cadence does a great job designing aesthetic and functional products. The Capsules have some minor issues, such as being heavy and minor leaking. However, the Cadence team really innovates with all of its products to work well with the capsule system. The Parcel is fantastic--no further notes. Lastly, their customer service is top notch!

  • I’ve been following Cadence for several years and took advantage of the Thingdrop to purchase them, finally. I’m delighted with the quality and the smallest size (0.56fl oz) has been great for carrying my daily medication. I haven’t used them for anything else, but I’ll be testing out their reliability with more liquid substrates soon.

  • I wanted to love the Cadence Capsules so much, the concept is amazing but two of mine ended up leaking. Thankfully I had them in the parcel bag, otherwise my clothes would’ve been ruined by the tinted moisturizer, which was really disappointing. For the price, I’m honestly not sure they’re worth it. That said, I did really like the parcel bags! They feel super sturdy and well-made. I just ordered a smaller size than I meant to, but again… the price is kind of crazy for what you get.

  • I travel a lot and the Cadence Parcel System has been such a game changer for me. Everything feels really streamlined and intentional, which I appreciate when I’m constantly packing and unpacking. The parcels are sturdy, leakproof, and honestly chic enough to leave out on a hotel counter. My favorite part is actually the parcel bag itself. I didn’t expect to love it as much as I do, but I reach for it all the time—sometimes I even use it as my touch-up makeup bag during the day because it’s the perfect size and keeps everything organized without feeling bulky.

  • I like the idea of these and right now it seems like these are the best option for travel beauty containers. I’ve used the OG version of these when they first came out as well and I think their updated design is smart for ease of product use and that they’re magnetic makes storage easier in small spaces and tight quarters (like NYC apts!). I also like that they’re customizable and you can switch out the labels as needed. Some gripes are that might not be dealbreakers for others: they’re plastic although they use recycled plastic. Every batch is slightly different so I’ve noticed that the “add-on” pieces when I’m trying to hold larger volumes don’t always fit perfectly which is more of an aesthetic thing than a functional issue. I have noticed that some of their products do leak for me if I am trying to carry a hair oil around.

  • I was genuinely excited to try Cadence. I picked up six containers and two pour attachments through a Thingdrop deal. The unboxing experience was great, and there’s no denying the product looks beautiful. But after testing them out, I came away feeling like these are more of a form-over-function product. They’re better suited to a bathroom shelf than a tightly packed carry-on. What I liked: The design is genuinely beautiful. The containers feel premium, and the magnetic click when they snap together is oddly satisfying. I liked being able to customize the colors and labels to suit what I needed. The pill containers were especially useful for a weekend trip. It was nice to have a neat, color-coded way to separate my various supplements. What didn’t work for me: The price is wild. I paid 1575 DKK, or roughly 240 USD, for six small containers (and expensive shipping to Denmark). That was with a discount. Even with a discount, it’s incredibly hard to justify. You also have to decide up front what you’re putting in each pod, which is fine in theory, but annoying when you want to switch things up. And since replacement labels cost extra, you’re basically locked in. The pour attachments were a letdown. I hoped they’d make dispensing shampoo or shower gel easier, but they’re fiddly and slow. In practice, a cheap squeezy bottle is just better – especially when you’re mid-shower and trying to move fast. They also get messy as the liquid gets everywhere within the container. The hexagonal screw tops are cute and make the containers easier to open, but they don’t always align when closed. It’s a small detail, but once you notice it, it’s hard to unsee. I also didn’t find the magnets particularly useful. I had imagined neatly snapping them together in my bag, but the reality is they all just get tossed in a ziplock to go through airport security. Most of all, they’re heavy and feel oddly space-inefficient. I travel light and try to optimize what I bring with me. These containers just aren’t practical compared to something like Muji’s lightweight, cheap alternatives. The sizing of the containers also seems a bit random. 0.56 fl oz and 1.32 fl oz don’t really mean anything to me. Including millilitres would make it easier to gauge what actually fits – especially for international users. What I’d buy instead: Muji’s travel containers are much more functional for my needs. They’re super lightweight, cheap, easy to squeeze, see-through, and come with flip lids that are far more convenient. And if I leave one behind in a hotel bathroom, it’s no big deal. Final thoughts: Cadence is a cool, innovative product and clearly designed with care. But for someone who travels light and values practicality, it just doesn’t make much sense for me. If you love curated travel accessories and don’t mind paying a huge premium for beautiful design, you might love these. But if you’re looking for something more functional and flexible, there are better, cheaper options out there.

  • Okay they’re cuuuuttteeee! But they’re small. I dk what I was expecting, but that was my first thought. I immediately regretted not ordering the adapters because digging out product isn’t my favorite, so I placed a second order for those almost instantly. Sometimes it takes me a second to screw them closed and sometimes the corners don’t fully line up, the seal has been fine but it’s hard for me to trust. I think the aesthetic of the brand is there, but with the price I can see how it would be hard to justify when other travel options are easier to use and lighter on the wallet

  • I bought cadence on a thingdrop and was still a little iffy about the price point. But if they were going to be everything the internet says they are, it was well worth it. Unfortunately, I’m disappointed. I didn’t end up using the containers for their planned contents (aka the labels I made), so I spent the entire week guessing/trying to remember what face serum was in shampoo and what was in conditioner. I did use cleanser for cleanser, so while that was convenient, I ran out quickly because the pour was faster than the bottle at home. I think this is a personal problem, but I also struggled with my colors. At first I wanted all one color, but then I worried differentiating them would be annoying. So then I tried to group by category ie shower stuff in sage, sink stuff in blue. But then I decided that I wanted my cadence containers to also be distinguishable when I’m blindly washing & conditioning my hair in the morning, so I went with all different colors. They look pretty good together, but I think there is probably a smart design solve their that they could provide with the system.

I’d love for extra labels to come with the cadence set, so I can switch stuff up depending on my current skincare routine or trip destination. I’d also love a different spout on the cadence tops as I don’t want to stick my finger in container and the pour is quick for some products and nonexistent for others.

  • The price for these initially seemed absurd to me so I was thrilled to buy these with the thing drop discount but after trying them I’m so in love that I will be buying more at regular price. They hold more product than I expected and the quality and design is amazing. Even the way the lids thread on to the containers is really great. They thread on effortlessly every time so there’s no need to line them up in a certain way. Theres also no possibility of over threading them when twisting. After filling one with water and tossing it into my handbag for a day I’m also confident that they are leak proof. The custom tile magnets are lots of fun and are strong enough to stay attached when jostling around in a travel bag/purse.

More preset tile options would be amazing.

  • They are cute they hold stuff. I am not sure the form factor is conducive to liquids and creams. I like the sustainability aspect, though. UPDATE 9.23.25: So i got the bigger container with the pour spout attachment and that is much better for carrying body washes, making it much more usable. Otherwise i've been using the smaller ones for my pre-workout powders

I think having a variety of tops or squeezable containers would make it much more versatile. The price point also seems high.

  • These make packing so much easier and more organized. They’re leak-proof, easy to clean, and somehow fit more than you expect. Pricey, but they’ve held up through multiple trips and still look brand new.

  • Cadence containers are perfect for travel! They’re compact, lightweight, and completely leak-proof, which gives me peace of mind when packing liquids. The magnetic system is a brilliant touch—they stay neatly organized in my bag, and I love how easy they are to refill and label. These little capsules are not only practical but also stylish, making it a breeze to bring my skincare and essentials on the go. Highly recommend Cadence for anyone looking to travel smarter and stay organized!

  • I travel quite often and took these across the country on a 6 day trip. The container is STURDY, and the extra attachment did not leak!! it's definitely bulkier than the average plastic container though and took up more room in my liquids bag. Took a photo for size reference. While going through TSA, the airport I was in was oddly (and insanely) strict about liquids that day and gave out 1L bags to everyone. (It was a domestic flight too...) My bag got stopped and the lady checking it took the jars out. I guess it's because it's magnetic? Once she saw it was just shampoo, she gave them back. I had no issues on the fight home. The wide opening is a gift and a curse: it makes it sooo easy to pour product inside, but then I probably used more shampoo and conditioner than I normally do. Even still, the containers carried WAY MORE than I needed. After the trip, both jars were well over half way full. Would i buy the WHOLE set for the price though? I'm not entirely sure. Nice to have, a very nice gift for the constant traveler, but you could live without it.

  • Super happy with my Cadence containers! I have a set of 6, and I find myself using this for any overnights, or short 2-3 day trips. Work great, don't leak, and the magnetic aspect helps avoid losing any.

  • This is a brand that I had been eyeing for a while because I absolutely love the concept and how customizable it is. Still, it was out of a price range I felt comfortable paying for when I would be getting just six small capsules to hold my personal care products in. Thankfully I was able to participate in a Thingdrop and get a hold of these! First, let's talk about the customization experience. It honestly took me quite a while to decide what colors and labels to pick. Uniformity is not something I thought about when choosing a color for each container, so I went wild and picked a different color for each one. It was honestly a bit tricky to think of what I had that could easily fit into the capsules, but eventually, I decided on my six. I do think it is a bit much to try and charge extra for custom labels when the containers are already so expensive. The Cadence unboxing experience was delightful. The box opened up so intuitively, and the cutest part was that there was a card inside that could be planted and would grow wildflowers! Thankfully it looked like all my containers arrived safely, and were magnetic as promised. I put them in my toiletry bag for any future trips I would go on. It was so much fun loading everything up and arranging it to get in just the right spot. However, before I could use all my capsules to their full potential, I went on a trial run of sorts by taking a two-day trip. Unfortunately, because I could only take a backpack on my flight I could not fit my toiletry bag in there, so I had to be very selective. I felt this would be a good test to see how the containers did when they were freely floating inside a big backpack. I took three with me, and they all did a great job in storing my cleanser and pills, but these are far from perfect. As many other reviewers have pointed out, these capsules are very small and cannot hold much at all. They worked super well for a two-day trip, but for something I might need every day like my face moisturizer, I do not even know if it could hold enough to last even a week unless I rationed really well. Then there's my next point- not only are these small, but they probably could've been a lot better quality for the price. Something that became clear when I was using the containers was that the magnets were actually quite weak. It was tricky to scoop the three capsules I had in my backpack out at once because they were not only quite slippery but also had such weak magnets that grabbing one would not necessarily mean the other two would be lifted up as well. I thought it would be really clever if you could just throw these in a bag and take them all out at once, but really the magnets cannot handle that and are merely there to clump them together on a table. And considering the almost absurd price for a capsule, they should not pull apart so easily. If you are looking for a fancy gift for yourself or a friend who loves to travel, these may be a good idea. You can buy just a gift card so you can allow the recipient to customize their containers for themselves, which is definitely appreciated. But while I think they do their job, there are a lot of little things that could be improved on to make it worth the price.

    Feedback

Make the magnets stronger if possible so a single one can be grabbed and it can carry a few more with them. The labels also popped off pretty easily when I dropped the lid one time, so maybe that should have a stronger hold as well.

  • Was introduced to this product through a friend and became obsessed as soon as I received myself! Full transparency; I did receive as a gift from the brand but I would purchase again and again and give as gifts! I love the brands mission and that the company is female founded. The capsules are sustainable and make traveling with toiletries a breeze. I have struggled with finding the right containers to hold shampoo, face wash, hair products... i even bought a tiny funnel to help save product from dripping outside of the bottles when transferring. one tiny capsule holds 8 vitamins a day for me - so I have a pack of 7 for the days of the week that I travel with. I then have a set for toiletries and one capsule can hold 7 days worth of product for me (some even more!) My facewash, clarifying pads, Olaplex smoothing hair treatment, face serums, etc... all fit in these capsules. They are magnetic and really stay together and more importantly, they don't leak!

    Feedback

I do wish they made some bigger capsules for longer trips and also added a dropper top for serums (serums can be $$$ and I don't want to lose a drop). I would also love a different shape for jewelry as it has been a game changer for my rings!

  • OBSESSED! I had been following them for a while and was dying to finally get my hand on some of these containers! I liked the packaging and love the fact that the lid securely seals and also sticks to the container by magnet. I also LOVE that they're made from marine plastic.

Could be nice to see a double-size one! I would love the ability to create my own labels.
