Cadence containers are perfect for travel! They’re compact, lightweight, and completely leak-proof, which gives me peace of mind when packing liquids. The magnetic system is a brilliant touch—they stay neatly organized in my bag, and I love how easy they are to refill and label. I travel quite often and took these across the country on a 6 day trip. The container is STURDY, and the extra attachment did not leak!! it's definitely bulkier than the average plastic container though and took up more room in my liquids bag. Took a photo for size reference. While going through TSA, the airport I was in was oddly (and insanely) strict about liquids that day and gave out 1L bags to everyone. (It was a domestic flight too...) My bag got stopped and the lady checking it took the jars out. I guess it's because it's magnetic? Once she saw it was just shampoo, she gave them back. I had no issues on the fight home. The wide opening is a gift and a curse: it makes it sooo easy to pour product inside, but then I probably used more shampoo and conditioner than I normally do. Even still, the containers carried WAY MORE than I needed. After the trip, both jars were well over half way full. Would i buy the WHOLE set for the price though? I'm not entirely sure. Nice to have, a very nice gift for the constant traveler, but you could live without it.

Super happy with my Cadence containers! I have a set of 6, and I find myself using this for any overnights, or short 2-3 day trips. Work great, don't leak, and the magnetic aspect helps avoid losing any.

This is a brand that I had been eyeing for a while because I absolutely love the concept and how customizable it is. Still, it was out of a price range I felt comfortable paying for when I would be getting just six small capsules to hold my personal care products in. Thankfully I was able to participate in a Thingdrop and get a hold of these! First, let's talk about the customization experience. It honestly took me quite a while to decide what colors and labels to pick. Uniformity is not something I thought about when choosing a color for each container, so I went wild and picked a different color for each one. It was honestly a bit tricky to think of what I had that could easily fit into the capsules, but eventually, I decided on my six. I do think it is a bit much to try and charge extra for custom labels when the containers are already so expensive. The Cadence unboxing experience was delightful. The box opened up so intuitively, and the cutest part was that there was a card inside that could be planted and would grow wildflowers! Thankfully it looked like all my containers arrived safely, and were magnetic as promised. I put them in my toiletry bag for any future trips I would go on. It was so much fun loading everything up and arranging it to get in just the right spot. However, before I could use all my capsules to their full potential, I went on a trial run of sorts by taking a two-day trip. Unfortunately, because I could only take a backpack on my flight I could not fit my toiletry bag in there, so I had to be very selective. I felt this would be a good test to see how the containers did when they were freely floating inside a big backpack. I took three with me, and they all did a great job in storing my cleanser and pills, but these are far from perfect. As many other reviewers have pointed out, these capsules are very small and cannot hold much at all. They worked super well for a two-day trip, but for something I might need every day like my face moisturizer, I do not even know if it could hold enough to last even a week unless I rationed really well. Then there's my next point- not only are these small, but they probably could've been a lot better quality for the price. Something that became clear when I was using the containers was that the magnets were actually quite weak. It was tricky to scoop the three capsules I had in my backpack out at once because they were not only quite slippery but also had such weak magnets that grabbing one would not necessarily mean the other two would be lifted up as well. I thought it would be really clever if you could just throw these in a bag and take them all out at once, but really the magnets cannot handle that and are merely there to clump them together on a table. And considering the almost absurd price for a capsule, they should not pull apart so easily. If you are looking for a fancy gift for yourself or a friend who loves to travel, these may be a good idea. You can buy just a gift card so you can allow the recipient to customize their containers for themselves, which is definitely appreciated. But while I think they do their job, there are a lot of little things that could be improved on to make it worth the price.

Was introduced to this product through a friend and became obsessed as soon as I received myself! Full transparency; I did receive as a gift from the brand but I would purchase again and again and give as gifts! I love the brands mission and that the company is female founded. The capsules are sustainable and make traveling with toiletries a breeze. I have struggled with finding the right containers to hold shampoo, face wash, hair products... i even bought a tiny funnel to help save product from dripping outside of the bottles when transferring. one tiny capsule holds 8 vitamins a day for me - so I have a pack of 7 for the days of the week that I travel with. I then have a set for toiletries and one capsule can hold 7 days worth of product for me (some even more!) My facewash, clarifying pads, Olaplex smoothing hair treatment, face serums, etc... all fit in these capsules. They are magnetic and really stay together and more importantly, they don't leak!

OBSESSED! I had been following them for a while and was dying to finally get my hand on some of these containers! I liked the packaging and love the fact that the lid securely seals and also sticks to the container by magnet. I also LOVE that they're made from marine plastic.

I’ve been wanting to try these for a while and overall they’re good. The magnetic feature is super nice so they stay together, and I love the labels. They are very rigid, which is nice to prevent breakage but does make it harder to use products like shampoo or conditioner which would normally come in a squeeze bottle - I’ll probably stick to my squeeze travel bottles for those, but this is nice for skincare products and I’m happy to avoid purchasing travel minis. I bought a set of the adapters as well, and while they’re nice, I’m disappointed that they don’t fit on the small size capsules - it does say this on the site, but kind of annoying that they’re selling a “system” that doesn’t fully work together.

The capsules are pretty nice and leak-proof for most of my products. I also liked how standardized the sizing was to fit together snugly. I’m a big fan of the parcels. I think they’re great quality, and fit a ton of stuff. I can see them being a bit tricky to pack since the tops fold down and the magnetic closure is in a specific spot, but they’re solid and were very helpful for miscellaneous travel items, card games, and toiletries.

I’ve thought about buying these in the past, but was always caught up in the price point. I was stoked to get them during the ThingDrop. They are pretty cool! I have a couple that live in my bag to hold meds. Their unique shape makes them really easy to find and I like that they stick together. They hold a decent amount of advil and the shape inside makes it easy to get all lotion or whatever inside out. They probably hold about a day or two of face or body wash. They can’t hold enough shampoo/conditioner for my thick hair.

The Cadence system is a masterful example of form and function. Both stylish and a joy to use, I can't say that I've necessarily cut down on my toiletries, but I've definitely streamlined them. One thing I didn't anticipate was the function of the oil-drip spout as an add on... I think it only fits on the medium sized capsules and bigger. I really like the organizer for them too. It's not necessary if you already have a bag but it sure is aesthetically pleasing. I think I need another one just to match this one and hold my make up (no I will not be decanting my makeup). So far... the screw-top lids have been completely leak-proof. Time will tell but I'm optimistic that they're as good as they seem. It's a premium product with a price tag to match, but for anyone who values a streamlined, organized, and leak-free travel experience, it’s worth the investment if you travel a lot. They're really a joy to use and a genuine upgrade to my travel routine.

I like the customization and clean look, but the value doesn’t quite match the price, IMO. I bought a set for medicine/supplements, and although the finish feels premium, it’s hard to justify the cost (somehow over $200). I’m not done with Cadence, though—an XL Parcel for traveling with hair tools is tempting. Bottom line: stylish and customizable, but pricey for practicality. More travel-focused options and better price-to-value would encourage me to buy more, as they are beautifully designed.

I feel like this is a product for a very specific type of traveler-- it really just didn't suit my needs. I wouldn't purchase unless you make a lot of weekend or day trips, because they don't fit much product (I can't imagine what people use the even smaller size for lol). I use these most often to carry Tylenol or Advil in my purse. Keep in mind they're kind of heavy for the size!

I think these are great in theory, but they are not large enough to last longer than a weekend trip. I know the company has updated their sizes and options, and I would be interested in looking into that. UPDATE: I did end up purchasing the Small capsule and LOVE IT as a pill case. Perfect for purse Advil. It's a little pricey, but I think it will last me a lifetime. So it's worth it. Update 9/8: Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone. During the Thingdrop I bought two of the large size capsules and the adapters. Since the large capsules are a medium capsule with an extender, the piece doesn't line up right (like you can't twist them to be totally matched up), so the magnets have a hard time sticking together. Also the adapters don't work on the large size, which is so dumb, as that size is likely what you would use shampoo and conditioner in. So many regrets, but glad I got them 50% off at least.

My favourite part of these Cadence containers are how easy they are to clean. No more coming back from a trip, dreading having to clean out that little bit of shampoo or lotion from a container with a small opening. (And then maybe giving up and letting it sit there, getting a little gross, until your next trip). The customizable colors and labels are a fun and useful touch. The containers are heavier and thicker than I expected.... time will tell how this translates to durability. I purchased these with a Thingdrop discount. I would not pay full price for these BUT I would buy these full price as a gift for a loved one who travels often in a heartbeat. I really appreciate how ALL the packing is recyclable. A+

The capsules are beautiful, sturdy and I love that they are magnetic - simply because it’s fun to handle them that way. Some have mentioned they are heavy, but that isn’t an issue for me at all as I feel they are substantial and, therefore, well made. My only issue is with the parcels. They are sturdy and gorgeous. However, I cannot get them to stay open wide and magnetize to each other. I kept trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. I thought that would be a cool feature to have while traveling - lining them up on a counter next to each other and being able to reach into each one for makeup, hair products. etc. I still think they are beautiful and will enjoy packing all my toiletries and random items in them, but I hope Cadence can make stronger magnets on the parcel bags going forward. As one reviewer noted, perhaps with use, they will function better in that way.

While the product is very aesthetically pleasing and high quality, I don't think they are the most convenient for travel. there is only one type of closure, so it's not the best for products with a low viscosity. Also, the products themselves are pretty heavy, which makes it less travel friendly

Such promise, but ultimately a miss. To be fair, I am using Cadence’s older generation of products. Maybe they improved their concept and made the travel capsules better, but the originals are made very poorly. If you accidentally screw them on too tightly, they crack! They kind of look 3D printed, like that kind of material, if that makes sense. Just totally not durable and don’t hold enough product for some of what I take with me. More useful for a weekend trip. A plus is the color options and customization offered, but not worth the money for me.

Cute organized way to store your toiletries but only so much can go inside. Shampoo only fits about three washes. Editing my review after a few years - a few of my containers have since broken/cracked.

These are fun! I got them in the Thing Drop. I was debating getting them before but couldn’t justify the price so I was thrilled with this collab. Ordering was easy and my questions were quickly answered by customer service. These are smaller than I expected but I think they’ll do just fine. I’m so happy to not have to either a) buy non reusable tiny travel containers of the things I need or b) take my reusable travel jars that always spill. This is a great alternative and I’m excited to try them out for vacation soon.

I've been eyeing these for the longest time but could never justify the price so when they went on sale for Black Friday I finally bought a set of six. (Still overpriced though.) I travel a ton and use GoToobs to hold toiletries but I find that they leak and spill all the time, plus they're just too big. I was skeptical that the cadence containers would be too small but I think the size is perfect for week-long trips and I love that they're magnetic and fit in my bag so nicely. Unfortunately, they actually do leak depending on the consistency of the liquid you add. If it's more watery like a cleanser, it leaks every time. Lotion & conditioner don't leak at all.
