Cadence reviews and discussion

I feel like this is a product for a very specific type of traveler-- it really just didn't suit my needs. I wouldn't purchase unless you make a lot of weekend or day trips, because they don't fit much product (I can't imagine what people use the even smaller size for lol). I use these most often to carry Tylenol or Advil in my purse. Keep in mind they're kind of heavy for the size!

I think these are great in theory, but they are not large enough to last longer than a weekend trip. I know the company has updated their sizes and options, and I would be interested in looking into that. UPDATE: I did end up purchasing the Small capsule and LOVE IT as a pill case. Perfect for purse Advil. It's a little pricey, but I think it will last me a lifetime. So it's worth it. Update 9/8: Well, I couldn't leave well enough alone. During the Thingdrop I bought two of the large size capsules and the adapters. Since the large capsules are a medium capsule with an extender, the piece doesn't line up right (like you can't twist them to be totally matched up), so the magnets have a hard time sticking together. Also the adapters don't work on the large size, which is so dumb, as that size is likely what you would use shampoo and conditioner in. So many regrets, but glad I got them 50% off at least.

I’ve thought about buying these in the past, but was always caught up in the price point. I was stoked to get them during the ThingDrop. They are pretty cool! I have a couple that live in my bag to hold meds. Their unique shape makes them really easy to find and I like that they stick together. They hold a decent amount of advil and the shape inside makes it easy to get all lotion or whatever inside out. They probably hold about a day or two of face or body wash. They can’t hold enough shampoo/conditioner for my thick hair.

My favourite part of these Cadence containers are how easy they are to clean. No more coming back from a trip, dreading having to clean out that little bit of shampoo or lotion from a container with a small opening. (And then maybe giving up and letting it sit there, getting a little gross, until your next trip). The customizable colors and labels are a fun and useful touch. The containers are heavier and thicker than I expected.... time will tell how this translates to durability. I purchased these with a Thingdrop discount. I would not pay full price for these BUT I would buy these full price as a gift for a loved one who travels often in a heartbeat. I really appreciate how ALL the packing is recyclable. A+

Such promise, but ultimately a miss. To be fair, I am using Cadence’s older generation of products. Maybe they improved their concept and made the travel capsules better, but the originals are made very poorly. If you accidentally screw them on too tightly, they crack! They kind of look 3D printed, like that kind of material, if that makes sense. Just totally not durable and don’t hold enough product for some of what I take with me. More useful for a weekend trip. A plus is the color options and customization offered, but not worth the money for me.

Cute organized way to store your toiletries but only so much can go inside. Shampoo only fits about three washes. Editing my review after a few years - a few of my containers have since broken/cracked.

These are fun! I got them in the Thing Drop. I was debating getting them before but couldn’t justify the price so I was thrilled with this collab. Ordering was easy and my questions were quickly answered by customer service. These are smaller than I expected but I think they’ll do just fine. I’m so happy to not have to either a) buy non reusable tiny travel containers of the things I need or b) take my reusable travel jars that always spill. This is a great alternative and I’m excited to try them out for vacation soon.

I've been eyeing these for the longest time but could never justify the price so when they went on sale for Black Friday I finally bought a set of six. (Still overpriced though.) I travel a ton and use GoToobs to hold toiletries but I find that they leak and spill all the time, plus they're just too big. I was skeptical that the cadence containers would be too small but I think the size is perfect for week-long trips and I love that they're magnetic and fit in my bag so nicely. Unfortunately, they actually do leak depending on the consistency of the liquid you add. If it's more watery like a cleanser, it leaks every time. Lotion & conditioner don't leak at all.

I had such a fun time designing my cadence set! Shipping was quick and they came well packaged. I’ve taken my Cadence set on a few trips and they have worked out fabulously for hair products, skincare, and meds. I do think if you travel for longer time, the newer larger capsules might be a better fit, but these have been great for weekend and shorter trips!

I was so excited to get a set of Cadence in a Thingdrop! I had a big dilemma when ordering though because I wasn't sure what I wanted as the labels, so I just got them blank. Which makes it a little hard to determine what's inside once I did figure out what I wanted to put in each. Not sure if this is already available, but would love to ability to order separately or even as stickers! These are perfect for supplements and medication.

Great for traveling. Saves you so much space in your toiletry bag and also no need to worry about anything breaking. The variety of sizes for containers is also nice, along with being able to customize the colors and descriptions.

I LOVE these! So much so, I purchased three 6-packs for friends that I knew were traveling soon. I took my containers to Tulum, Mexico and filled with soaps, rose hip oil, moisturizers and hair products and had no issues with spillage at all. You can customize your containers or leave them blank. There’s even ones to choose from that are super helpful and they stick together pretty well. These do pack a good amount of product, so if it’s a trip for 3-5 days, it’s perfect!

I received a gift certificate to then customize my set of containers on the Cadence website. There are a ton of preset options for labeling the containers and you can also label them yourself to ensure your pack is tailormade for however you need it. There are so many color options and the magnetic lids are really satisfying.

I LOVE THESE!!!!! I have been wanting to try these forever, but the cost hindered me from purchasing them. Through thing testing I finally was able to test them and I love it! They make packing for a trip so easy and love the sustainability behind the products. They are magnetic so they all stay together and I like how you can always change the magnets on top for what is in the jar. I recommended them to a friend and she purchased some after she saw mine!

I like that Cadence pays attention to details. From customizable tile options, to how they package their containers (Recyclable with an added company info card that is a plantable with wildflowers seeds). Great quality and fun colors. These containers have a high price point but it's understandable with the containers being magnetic, the quality and design.

I got to try this product through Thingdrop! Cadence had been on my radar for a little bit, as I thought it would be useful to stay more organized while traveling. The containers are nice quality and sleek/efficient. However, they're a bit smaller than I was expecting. As a person with a lot of hair, for example, I think I'd use all of the shampoo I could fit in one container in one go. I didn't get specific written labels for the tops because I wasn't sure what I would need to travel with at any given time. Instead, I chose a variety of the symbols they have available so I could distinguish between containers, since I also got all the same color. I think this product will be useful to me for shorter weekend trips or when I'm out and about daily and need to bring little amounts of products with me.

I absolutely LOVE this brand. The color, the convenience, the accessibility and quality of this product is unmatched. I literally find a reason to use a capsule every day. This product has definitely provided a level of luxe to my travel. People are always asking about the deets on these when they seen them! So if you are on the fence, don’t be! They are worth the money.

As a frequent traveler, I was so happy that I was able to try Cadence during the Thingdrop. As a frequent traveler, I wanted to try Cadence because it's an eco-friendly option over travel-sized toiletries. I loved how you are able to customize your labels which are magnetic and can be easily changed. I've used Cadence for the past few months and can honestly say, they are every penny. The day before my trips, I would run to the store to stock up on travel-sized toiletries. I'm so happy that this has stopped because of Cadence and I can just refill containers. I also really love how the containers are magnetic so they don't get lost in whichever bag you toss 'em in! Plus, you can use them to store much more than toiletries- they've come in handy storing my jewelry! I would love to see a lower price point in the future so more people can make the switch!

I was really enjoying these when I first got them. They’re cute and I love the different colors and interchangeable tiles but they are small. I have issues with 2 of the lids closing all the way and you can only fit things you don’t need to use that often. I know they changed their product type and I think those would work a lot better than their original model.

Honestly, I'm not impressed. I had long been eyeing these chic, functional travel packs and was excited to see them discounted on a ThingDrop. But when they arrived, the quality of the material was a bit lower than I had expected -- Especially for a product at such a high price point. I wouldn't have purchased these without the steep discount.
