Reviews mention

  • Effective enamel-rematerializing toothpaste
  • Noticeable sensitivity relief results
  • Refined, creative flavor options
  • Attractive, minimalist packaging
  • Milder breath-freshening performance
  • Occasional mouth-irritation reports
  • No fluoride-inclusive formulation
  • Less durable brush heads

Boka earns strong reviews for toothpaste that improves sensitivity, boosts enamel shine, and offers inventive flavors like Lemon Lavender and Coco Ginger, though several reviewers say breath-freshening is milder and some experience canker sores or irritation. Reviews also note solid accessories (tongue scraper, floss, manual brushes) but mixed performance on brush heads versus premium electrics and a lack of fluoride options within the line.

  • I've been using Boka toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss for about 3 months now, and I have no complaints! I love how straightforward every aspect of the brand is, from the product design, to the marketing + health claims, to the product itself. I often feel like the majority of "clean" and "better-for-you" brands are oversaturated in every way imaginable, so it's refreshing when you find one, such as Boka, that sticks to simplicity.

  • The re-mineralizing aspects of the Boka toothpastes significantly improved my teeth and gum health. I started using exclusively about a year ago when I noticed my teeth beginning to look their age (46F) -- sort of dingy, dull and spotty looking. I was also struggling with my mouth and breath not smelling fresh despite being a consistent brusher/flosser. The toothpastes brought a strength and shine back to my teeth, cleared up my breath issues, and as bonus my gum health also got rave reviews from my dentist with measured decreases in recession pockets.

  • I love Boka's toothpaste. Finally the right balance between effectiveness and naturalness. They use n-Ha which is a more natural answer to fluoride. I feel like I get an effective clean that I don't get with other natural toothpastes. But sustainability is really important to me so I'm switching back to Bite which also uses n-Ha now, but comes in more sustainable packaging.

    Sustainability :)

  • After reading some medical journals about nano hydroxy-appetite, I was sold on the ingredient in general and this toothpaste in particular. I love that you can get scheduled orders- I just do three at a time for my whole house. When I found myself using a different brand recently while on vacation, I realized that this is definitely the better choice.

  • i don't think anything else can be said other than this toothpaste literally reversed two cavities i was developing. that's it, that's the review.

  • I wouldn't use their toothpaste again, because I felt my teeth needed brushing more often. But the brushes and floss are great!

  • I tried this because of its cavity reducing properties, and I have to say that I haven't had a cavity the last two times I visited the dentist. My teeth feel clean after using this toothpaste and I love the taste. The packaging is adorable and I feel like I'm improving my oral health when I use it.

They are currently out of stock of the flavor I like and I'm unsure of when they will restock. They are having supply chain issues.

  • As someone who struggles with mouth sores/canker sores, something in this product did not agree with my mouth. I had the most painful canker sore in my throat (that lasted over a week) after using this toothpaste for a few days. I would caution anyone with a sensitive mouth.

  • I enjoy Boka's mint toothpaste. The lemon/lavender one reminds me of frootloops! My only qualm is that I feel like it doesn't freshen my breath enough.

I think that Boka could do a bit better with eliminating breath odor, but otherwise I enjoy the flavor of the mint and lemon/lavender toothpastes they offer. Teeth feel clean after use and have become whiter over time.

  • I love BOKA's toothpaste, toothbrushes, and tongue scraper. After being diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I was told to avoid fluoride, but non-flouride toothpastes caused a build up of plaque on my teeth. This is the only nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste I've found that keeps me feeling fresh for many hours instead of wearing off after about an hour.

I wish the tongue scaper was made of copper to prevent bacteria growth.

  • Love the taste and quality of the toothpaste. It is subtile. Love the ingredients of it and my teeth feel really good. Highly recommend it I subscribed to the monthly shipping.

I have the tongue cleaner as well but I would prefer another nicer design for it.

  • The best oral care brand I have found! I have been use Boka toothpaste, toothbrushes and floss for over a year now and it has been such a game changer in my oral care. No flouride or harsh chemicals which I also love.

  • I love Boka and am a big fan of their fun, unique flavored toothpaste (shoutout to Coco Ginger). I love how they use nano-hydroxyapatite (n-Ha) instead of fluoride, since n-HA is natural and nontoxic.

For best results you're not supposed to rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth (the paste is non-toxic and works with contact time on the enamel) -- so that took a bit of getting used to.

  • I really enjoy the tongue scraper and I've had it for a few years now and it still stands the test of time. Their products are high-quality. I am looking forward to trying their toothpaste.

  • so many oral care products are poorly made, but i love all the accessories boka offers. i was skeptical of some of the different flavors of toothpaste at first, but they grow on you and it made my night routine a bit more fun.

  • I really wanted to love these products. Bought the toothpaste, mouthwash, and floss. But my mouth did not like it. I immediately had canker sores pop up in my mouth that didn't go away until after I stopped using it. Tried to reach out to them and no response. This happened before when I tried another "more natural" mouthwash. I guess it's the crappy chemicals for me.

  • I just recently switched to Boka everything, and I'm hooked. It's about time there is a real distruptor in this space, and I believe Boka is it. I started with the tongue scraper, and then quickly bought the toothpaste. I sold, so I just jumped for the toothbriush 2.0, and it has changed the game on my dental care. So much of what my quip missed, my Boka has made up for. Not only is it effective, but it's beautiful too, which is a requirement to take up space on my counter. I am only one tube of toothpaste in, and I only wish that I would have begun to see a real difference from these innovative ingredients. I was super intrigued by the remineralization, which I'm sure takes time. I would love for the brand to share more education around this topic on their socials. Still, I'll happily choose Boka as a non-toxic option any day.

  • I really like the flavor of the Boka lemon lavendar toothpaste but it's definitely different from going from that extreme minty fresh feeling to something more subtle. Another adjustment is not rinsing your mouth after you're done brushing and just leaving the toothpaste on your teeth to maximize the benefits, but I'm excited about the research behind nano-hydroxyapatite based toothpaste as someone who tends to get small cavities pretty easily!

  • Currently using their manual toothbrush and elamint toothpaste. They are amazingly quality and worth the price.
