Reviews mention

  • Noticeably whitening, remineralizing toothpaste
  • Refined, non‑overpowering flavor options
  • High‑quality, durable tongue scraper
  • Elegant, ergonomic toothbrush design
  • Mild mint freshness, limited tingle
  • Sls irritation causing mouth ulcers
  • No fluoride toothpaste option
  • Humidity‑prone, soggy mouthwash tablets

Boka earns strong reviews for effective, n‑HA toothpastes and thoughtful tools that reduce sensitivity, brighten enamel, and offer inventive flavors like Lemon Lavender and Coco Ginger, but the brand also draws criticism for mild mint freshness, SLS‑linked mouth sores for some, and mixed impressions of mouthwash tablets. Reviews also flag the lack of fluoride options and inconsistent operations, so buyers prioritizing performance and non‑toxic formulas may love it, while fluoride loyalists and very sensitive mouths should proceed carefully.

  • I tried this because of its cavity reducing properties, and I have to say that I haven't had a cavity the last two times I visited the dentist. My teeth feel clean after using this toothpaste and I love the taste. The packaging is adorable and I feel like I'm improving my oral health when I use it.

They are currently out of stock of the flavor I like and I'm unsure of when they will restock. They are having supply chain issues.

  • As someone who struggles with mouth sores/canker sores, something in this product did not agree with my mouth. I had the most painful canker sore in my throat (that lasted over a week) after using this toothpaste for a few days. I would caution anyone with a sensitive mouth.

  • I enjoy Boka's mint toothpaste. The lemon/lavender one reminds me of frootloops! My only qualm is that I feel like it doesn't freshen my breath enough.

    Feedback

I think that Boka could do a bit better with eliminating breath odor, but otherwise I enjoy the flavor of the mint and lemon/lavender toothpastes they offer. Teeth feel clean after use and have become whiter over time.

  • I love BOKA's toothpaste, toothbrushes, and tongue scraper. After being diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I was told to avoid fluoride, but non-flouride toothpastes caused a build up of plaque on my teeth. This is the only nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste I've found that keeps me feeling fresh for many hours instead of wearing off after about an hour.

I wish the tongue scaper was made of copper to prevent bacteria growth.

  • Love the taste and quality of the toothpaste. It is subtile. Love the ingredients of it and my teeth feel really good. Highly recommend it I subscribed to the monthly shipping.

    Feedback

I have the tongue cleaner as well but I would prefer another nicer design for it.

  • The best oral care brand I have found! I have been use Boka toothpaste, toothbrushes and floss for over a year now and it has been such a game changer in my oral care. No flouride or harsh chemicals which I also love.

  • I love Boka and am a big fan of their fun, unique flavored toothpaste (shoutout to Coco Ginger). I love how they use nano-hydroxyapatite (n-Ha) instead of fluoride, since n-HA is natural and nontoxic.

For best results you're not supposed to rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth (the paste is non-toxic and works with contact time on the enamel) -- so that took a bit of getting used to.

  • I really enjoy the tongue scraper and I've had it for a few years now and it still stands the test of time. Their products are high-quality. I am looking forward to trying their toothpaste.

  • so many oral care products are poorly made, but i love all the accessories boka offers. i was skeptical of some of the different flavors of toothpaste at first, but they grow on you and it made my night routine a bit more fun.

  • I really wanted to love these products. Bought the toothpaste, mouthwash, and floss. But my mouth did not like it. I immediately had canker sores pop up in my mouth that didn't go away until after I stopped using it. Tried to reach out to them and no response. This happened before when I tried another "more natural" mouthwash. I guess it's the crappy chemicals for me.

  • I just recently switched to Boka everything, and I'm hooked. It's about time there is a real distruptor in this space, and I believe Boka is it. I started with the tongue scraper, and then quickly bought the toothpaste. I sold, so I just jumped for the toothbriush 2.0, and it has changed the game on my dental care. So much of what my quip missed, my Boka has made up for. Not only is it effective, but it's beautiful too, which is a requirement to take up space on my counter. I am only one tube of toothpaste in, and I only wish that I would have begun to see a real difference from these innovative ingredients. I was super intrigued by the remineralization, which I'm sure takes time. I would love for the brand to share more education around this topic on their socials. Still, I'll happily choose Boka as a non-toxic option any day.

  • I really like the flavor of the Boka lemon lavendar toothpaste but it's definitely different from going from that extreme minty fresh feeling to something more subtle. Another adjustment is not rinsing your mouth after you're done brushing and just leaving the toothpaste on your teeth to maximize the benefits, but I'm excited about the research behind nano-hydroxyapatite based toothpaste as someone who tends to get small cavities pretty easily!

  • Currently using their manual toothbrush and elamint toothpaste. They are amazingly quality and worth the price.

  • Such a good toothpaste, your mouth feels a different type of clean afterwards

  • Good mint flavor, toothpaste seems to be working. The mouthwash tablet things were immediately soggy and took on a brown color due to the humidity around me. Only tried one. Would get the toothpaste again not the mouthwash

    Better mouthwash container

  • I like that the subscription aspect helped me regularly change my toothbrush out. I only got the basic toothbrush, which I quite liked.

I moved towards using an electric toothbrush that my dentist recommended and also bamboo toothbrushes for when I travel. Would love to see them recycle old toothbrushes (a la Preserve or something).

  • This is the WORST customer service (if you can call an email address without replies customer service) I have ever had in my life. Legitimately, the worst in my entire life. I placed an order for over $120.00 on June 6th. My order has still not left Boka’s facility to my house. It is sitting in pre-shipping with label and no pickup date. Today is now June 12th; an entire week just sitting and not being mailed! There is NO PHONE NUMBER to call for ANYTHING. Beware! Seriously, no contact number or email other than one single email. It is the general email “[email protected]”. That is it. No other way to contact them. I have sent four emails now daily with NO RESPONSE! Nothing! Nada! Order is STILL sitting without a care in the world. Meanwhile, Boka has my money and my products. Wow! Just, wow! My only options now are social media and reviews everywhere until I get my items, response and refund. My bank will be shortlisted here real quick to file a dispute. Also, file a claim with the attorney general. Then, file a claim with the BBB.. then… anything else I can. Boka are crooks at this point. Currently stealing from me without remorse or response. Great business model!

  • I liked the Boka mint toothpaste due to a combination of what it does and doesn't have. I like that it doesn't have fluoride, but still protects my teeth with the hydroxyapatite. The mint is a mild addition and not too strong but does leave your mouth feeling fresh.

  • I stopped using toothpaste about 2 years ago because I cannot stand the aftertaste of any flavor. Toothpaste is not required for brushing and when I wanted to use something I'd use baking soda. I have a mark on one of my front teeth that I thought might be a cavity but I've decided it's a scratch in the enamel so I found out about this toothpaste and decided to try it. I'll never change! It's the lemon flavored and it is so refreshing in the aftertaste is just clean. You barely taste the lemon or anything else that's in it. Even if it does nothing for my teeth I'm going to keep using it. Try it you'll like! it Mikey likes it LOL

  • Unbelievably terrible customer service; stay away. I have been a customer since early 2019 but have repeated bad experiences with customer service, including a refusal to resend replacement heads that never arrived nor wanting to refund me let me move away from this brand.
