Reviews mention

  • Durable, weatherproof gore‑tex shells
  • Lightweight, packable jacket construction
  • Refined, minimalist aesthetic design
  • Versatile, heat-regulating midlayers
  • Inconsistent, unreliable customer service
  • Slim, long-proportioned garment fits
  • Occasional delamination and feather leakage
  • Zipper and boot comfort failures

Arc’teryx earns strong reviews for durable, high-performance outerwear that keeps wearers warm and dry in rain, snow, and alpine conditions, with standouts like the Atom LT/Hoody and Beta shells proving reliable and lightweight. Reviews also flag meaningful drawbacks—fit skews slim and long, occasional quality lapses (delamination, leaking down, faulty zippers/boots), inconsistent waterproofing in extreme cold, and customer service and warranty experiences ranging from exemplary repairs to refusals—making the brand excellent for technical performance but uneven in consistency and support.

  • I got an Arc’teryx hiking backpack for a 4 day trek to Machu Picchu. It was absolutely fantastic. It was spacious, fit everything I need, had a rain protector, so useful. Also, my friend I was with also had the same bag and hers was about 6 years old having her lasted all the way backpacking through Europe. So I guess it is a long lasting sturdy company too!

  • I love my Arc'teryx jacket!

Honestly none. Except that it's not dog bite-proof. But that's more of a personal problem.

  • Very expensive. Effective product. I feel like their size ranges could be lacking for many women.

  • Great quality winter vest

    Feedback

Wish they didn't use feathers - not sustainable and wouldn't repurchase

  • Arc'teryx is tough to beat for outdoor, adverse condition athletic wear. Have loved my snowboarding shell for years but the pit zips also allow me to use it as a go-to for rainy days too.

Pricey... let's call it reassuringly expensive!

  • For certain outdoor gear that Im willing to drop $ on I often go to Arc'teryx! I have both a raincoat and puffy winter jacket from them as well as some accessories and I can tell they will last me a long time and have been built with great care and detail. I can't attest to the change in quality overtime as I know theyve scaled quite a bit in the past few years and have heard from others that certain items have had a change in production quality. Overall, I trust them for things like jackets and gear!

  • My wife and I both have the Atom LT hoodie, which we got about 3 1/2 years ago. They are phenomenally versatile, warm as a single sweater/jacket layer on top of a base layer, but also as a mid layer below a shell if in rain or snow, or as a top layer if it is below 40 degrees Fahrenheit and an additional sweater layer is needed underneath. They have held up great through several hundreds of days of use, and we expect them to last many more years.

  • Living in rainy PNW, Arc'teryx jackets are a staple for us. We own a few of their gortex shells and have always had positive experiences. Their warranty on their jackets is also amazing and staff we have interacted with are always helpful.

Their current product exchange/repair program could use improvements. Even if you bring in your product into a store to assess they may still make you send it out to their factory for processing instead of just taking it in at the store. We asked before why they couldn't take it like before and we were told it was due to COVID protocols..

  • My go-to skiwear brand. Expensive but holds up extremely well, and everything is light but keeps me really warm.

  • The Atom LT hoody is one of my top favorite pieces I own. It has stretchy, breathable side panels which seemed counterintuitive for a insulated jacket but I am warm enough when walking around but don’t overheat when moving fast, xc skiing for example.

  • I have one of these rain jackets in all black love it. It also stuffs real nicely in my backpack.

  • Great technical wear and as a slightly extended size range. The downside is the lack of transparency about factories used.

  • The Atom Hoody is awesome. Mid layer, great for spring skiing. The fabric is soft, durable and not too technical looking. Works great for a jaunt in the city without looking too sporty.

  • Excellent quality engineering in this superior tech product.

  • Love Arc'teryx! I have a backpack from them that I use for travel everywhere I go. I also have a fanny pack and few clothing items. All are super great quality! Definitely on the pricier end though.

  • Love my Arc'teryx raincoat and winter hat. I like how the hood of the raincoat covers your whole head without looking too huge or awkward. Noticed that Arc'teryx has gained traction as a trendy winter wear brand recently

  • Excellent quality products for outdoor use, but I’ve mostly worn these clothes repurposed for daily city wear. Quality is excellent (lightweight, stretchy, durable). While not especially stylish, minimalist design is attractive. Price point is expensive, but you get value for the price. Would love to see a broader selection of professional wear that leverages the tech from their outerwear.

Would love to see more office apparel that leverages tech from outdoor apparel.

  • I think Arc-teryx is slowly overtaking Patagonia in terms of design and quality. I've found that they hold up really well in extreme conditions (skiing, snow, rain, etc.). I love the look and feel of the brand but I believe their markups are insanely high and the products are overpriced.

  • Arc'teryx is one of my favorite outdoor clothing brands. Fan of the design of their products, along with the quality. Also a fan of their logo.

Only nit is that the water resistance seemed to wear off over time - not sure if it's due to how I was washing my jackets or if that's expected.
