Amika earns largely positive reviews for effective, great-smelling hair care—especially Perk Up dry shampoo, Soulfood Nourishing Mask, and The Kure repair line—suggesting the brand works for many hair types. Reviews also flag real drawbacks: heavy, lingering fragrance, occasional residue or heaviness on fine hair, mixed results across lines, and reports of scalp irritation or hair loss for some, plus durability issues with a hot tool.

This product has given my solid white hair a glossy look instead of a flat dullness and I love it for that! After washing, drying and styling, all I have to do is spray and comb/ brush through - it brightens up beautifully!

I absolutely love this brand and the Soulfood Nourishing Mask is one of my favorites. It leaves my hair feeling silky, soft, and noticeably shinier after each use. The scent is amazing — I also love their travel kit.
Amikas Soulfood Nourishing Hair mask works wonders. I have long, thick, curly hair that needs a lot of moisture and attention and this mask does it all. It helped my hair to not be frizzy and took away be a lot more tame. It smelled good and washed off easily.
I love their dry shampoo & packaging. The smell is the best I’ve tried for dry shampoo. Only giving 4 stars because I feel like the Living Proof dry shampoo lasts slightly longer.
I like this brand, all of the products smell great, and it really works! Love the brand's mission and the packaging is cool!
Amika is my go-to brand for hair care! Their products smell incredible and leave my hair feeling soft, shiny, and healthy. I love how nourishing their formulas are, and the packaging is always so fun and colorful. Every product I've tried has delivered amazing results—definitely a 5-star brand!
I used the dry shampoo and really liked it. It lasted a while and thought it worked well. I would buy again!
Definitely have had mixed experiences with Amika products, but I will say taht their Supernova Moisture & Shine Cream is a godsend. I went from having never dyed my hair to doing balayage, then trying out some color, hating it, and having to re-dye the whole thing all over - all within a short period of time. My hair was feeling mega dry and crunchy, and I naturally have pretty soft/wavy hair. I tried the Supernova cream and now I'm hooked. I put it in after towel drying my hair every time I wash, and it works exactly how it says it should - makes my hair soft, and shiny. Super thankful I found it because I feel like it's actually really increasing the lifetime of my hair color/dye job!
Big fan of their dry shampoo and hair spray. The hair spray is a nice light hold and doesn’t make your hair feel hard
I used this product for dry shampoo in both full size and travel size versions. While the performance was effective, it left a lot of white cast in my brunette hair, which was disappointing; I felt like it was made for lighter haired people. The branding is super playful with lots of bright colors and is often available in most retailers at a reasonable cost. I wouldn’t use again because of the white cast.
I got the shampoo meant for people with dyed hair. It definitely protected the color as I washed my hair, and made my hair glossy afterwards.
The BEST dry shampoo there is!!!

All of the products I've tried are amazing! The packaging is adorable and I've been trying to switch over more of my products.
The heat protectant worked very well for my hair.
I love
Super!
I have tried out the dry shampoo, hair mask, and hair oils. I do not find these products any better than a cheap drug store brand. Maybe it is my hair type but I will not be repurchasing

Amika makes the best dry shampoo. It is the only dry shampoo that I’ll use. It doesn’t leave a white powder after spraying but make my hair fresh and volumized. Plus, the smell is amazing! I also really enjoyed their hair mask.

Really didn't do anything for my hair. Vastly prefer k18 and Bondi Boost - those offer real hydration and strengthening. This sits on top of the hair, similar to the MoroccanOil products.

I've tried their purple collection but one of the products have ennough pigment to combat the brassiness. They have great texture and smell.
