I love this brand's mission, particularly in regards to creating employment for Afghan women. The dried figs were extremely fragrant and floral, the smell of them immediately hit me in the face as soon as I opened the bag. The texture wasn't that pleasant to me, it was dry and tough and the actual flavor paled in comparison to the aroma. The shakhurbai almonds weren't my favorite, they just tasted like any standard almonds I could buy at a grocery store and had a slightly chalky mouthfeel. The gurbandi almonds are great, with a crunchy and light texture, perfectly salted, and unique- I've never seen almonds that had a crescent shape before. Overall super easy to snack on. The dried white mulberries were the most surprising for me, I had never eaten a mulberry before so I had no expectations going in. They were very fruity and crunchy. The baby pistachios had a standard taste, nothing out of the ordinary but were very over salted. The sweet apricot seeds and kishmish raisins were great.

Absolutely stunning packaging and great mission! I did find the snacks to be a bit underwhelming, especially given how beautiful the packaging is. I like the story behind it but felt like everything fell short. They’re fine, but I was expecting more flavor, more something!

Incredible quality. Who knew a wild foraged non commercial pistachio could taste so much better than your average store bought one. And the apricot kernels are incredible. All are the highest tier product I've ever tried in their category really. Wish I could afford them normally...

These snacks are great! They're super fresh/clean and I love that they're from Afghanistan. There is a lot of packaging that isn't recyclable, and it would be cool if they came up with a version of this that would re-seal, since I can't always eat the whole thing at once!

These are fantastic. I was worried about eating apricot kernels because they contain a poison (amygdalin). Their website states that their kernels don't contain significant amounts of amygdalin, which is great because they're delicious. As is every one of the products shipped in the sample pack. A little pricey for an everyday snack but a fantastic treat.

I got the sampler pack via Thingdrop and, since trying a couple weeks ago, I’ve been mulling over what to say about this product and brand. Overall positive things to say: everything tasted good (really liked the baby pistachios and dried mulberries), I love the story/mission/ethos, shipping was fast, packaging is cute. My only hangup, is that if I were to close my eyes and eat, say, an almond, it would taste (to my admittedly unrefined palette) like pretty much any other salted almond (sub for pistachio, fig, etc). Part of me was happy about this because I love a simple salted nut, the other part of me was hoping for something new. Take that for what it is. Glad I tried and hope this brand does well out in the world!

It's the least important thing, but I sure do love the packaging. It makes for a fancy treat. I love any little snacks that are healthy and tasty - this is definitely top notch. They taste clean, healthy and gourmet (we tried several varieties). My husband is a trail mix snacker and he gave the trail mix a very enthusiastic thumbs up.

I bought the sample package on a Thingdrop and am so pleasantly surprised! The trail mix is amazing. I made my own trail mix with the single ingredient bags and it's hard to not eat the whole thing!

Super unique! I loved trying out these treats. They were great for throwing in my bag and munching on at my desk at work. Good, healthy taste.

An absolute delight! I love dried fruits and nuts, but it's usually the same old thing. And, I don't normally love almonds but these are DELICIOUS. I tried the sampler pack and was also in love with the dried mulberries and the raisins. So good!

I was so excited to try these, and they didn’t disappoint! The snacks taste yummy, nutritious, and exciting and are the perfect thing for me to take on a car trip, hike, or to work. I also love how Ziba has recipes on their website as well—such fun bonus content for using their products. The only thing I would change is to make the packages resealable so that I’m not forced to eat them in one go, just roll them up ans hope for the best, or put them into a different container to enjoy later.

Wow - I am so impressed by this brand and their products! First impression is that their branding is beautiful, so refreshing to step away from sad beige/gray/neutral packaging and have fun with color. I also had no idea that Afghanistan was so known for their dried fruits and nuts, so it's always fun to learn something new. :) Shipping was super quick, took less than a week to arrive, and packaging was not excessive or wasteful like other Thingtesting products I've tried. I haven't tried everything yet but WOW the dried figs are delicious, never tasted any as good as these and will 1000% be repurchasing. I've never actually wanted to eat dried figs, I only ever eat them because they're there you know? But these I crave. The dried mulberries are so interesting and unlike anything I've tried before, crunchy yet chewy and lightly sweet like honey. The dried apricot kernels taste like a cross between peanuts and almonds. I can't wait to try everything else, especially the raisins and baby pistachios! I also love their website, especially the recipe tab!! The Fig & Pistachio Carrot Cake with Labneh Icing looks to die for.

I just ate the full bag of mulberries and apricot kernals (think crispy dried berries and almonds) and they were great. There was a lot of texture and I don't really find many subtly floral trail mixes like this — I wish I could review more of the snacks I got, but at this point, I'm saving them so I can savor them as a topping with oatmeal and other bowls.

Yum! I tried a variety pack of Ziba snacks and loved the unique flavors/ variety of foods that I already loved like pistachios, raisins (kishmish are my new fave!) And apricot pits that I've never had before but were nice and nutty. I even found them in my local health food store so I am pretty excited to keep enjoying these fun trail mixes and nuts.

These were so fun! The Thingdrop had a little variety pack and despite not really being a dried fruits/nuts type of girl, they were delicious. I liked the the solo nuts and fruits, which let me customize my own mixes, and my partner loved the mixes for a little mid-afternoon boost at work. Really high quality and will absolutely be purchasing again!

I love Ziba snacks. I especially love that you can order them in bulk, which saves on packaging, and that they carry some Middle Eastern treats that are very difficult to find in the US otherwise. Their mission-driven business model is a nice bonus too.

I would not buy these again. I didn't love the flavor. Just a personal preference

These snacks were delicious! Tasted fresh and high quality. I got the variety pack and enjoyed everything in it. The assortment was great, got some new fruits/nuts I haven't seen before. As well as, some of the best almonds I have ever tasted. My top 3 were the Dried Mulberries, Heirloom Almonds - Shakhurbai and Sweet Apricot Kernels

Love the mission and the packaging is lovely, but overall I'm not feeling the hype. The big thing here, I feel, is the ability to try relatively uncommon ingredients that seem to be fairly good quality. The dried mulberries are very good, but at the end of the day I can't justify the price.
