  • What an incredibly delicious little pizza. The buttery crust, had a nice crunch but still soft on the inside. I love the sauce and the cheese. Homerun!

  • I had seen these around in the stores and was curious but not enough to pay the $10 price. I saw them on sale at target for like $6 and change and figured why not try now they are on sale. Portion sizes are ok if you are worried about portion control. The cooking instructions are way off, we had to put them back in for several more minutes. These are really nothing special, especially for the price, even on sale. You could make a dupe of these at home for a fraction. The sauce was so-so, same for dough and cheese. Needed a bit more sauce and a different recipe. Will not buy again.

  • I wished these were a little better. It tasted like a glorified pizza bagel or pizza roll. It had more bread on it compared to the cheese and sauce inside. I wouldn’t buy this again

  • Such a fun snack that feels slightly more elevated than regular pizza rolls! They taste great too, love both flavors.

  • The taste is just okay. I wish they'd use a more savory tomato sauce. Its too sweet , It's not terrible. But it does taste like something I could make in my own kitchen. Nothing that will blow your socks off. The bread tastes like a buttery parker house roll not like pizza crust.

  • As soon as I heard about this product, I had one thought: This would be perfect for a Super Bowl party! So I zipped out and bought a box (6 cupcakes), and midway through the second quarter heated them up. Everyone eagerly grabbed one, and we altogether decided upon tasting them that they were ... okay. Not great, not horrible, simply mediocre. The crust was flakey and rich—certainly better than the average frozen pizza—but the filling was a bit skimpy and not overly flavorful. What sealed the deal, unfortunately, was the cost: $9.99 for the box translates to $1.67 per cupcake, which is pretty pricey for what translates to a small, fairly crust-heavy slice of (frozen) pizza. P.S. I was so excited about these I even tracked down the 2021 Shark Tank episode where this company was featured (https://youtu.be/TUeLX2xjo0g?si=BDrr9jnXD20dCwW9). While they got a shark to bite, I'm surprised that since that time they 1. haven't been able to lower their per unit price, 2. still only sell two "flavors" (Margherita and Pepperoni), and 3. haven't updated the look of their packaging other than adding a "as seen on Shark Tank" badge.

  • I absolutely love these... they are SO GOOD! I made them in the air fryer & it was the perfect crispiness on the outside & the pepperoni, and the inside was cheesy and the perfect softness! Seriously so good, ate them all in one week!

PRO TIP: Put honey on them once cooked & it is soooo good!!! Would love to see these in grocery stores so I can pick them up weekly!

  • Grabbed these on a Thingdrop thinking they would be a fun snack for entertaining. They definitely did not have a pizza look to them, so when I served them to my Bunco group (I swear I'm not an old lady) I really had to explain the concept several times. They were not a hit. The dough was too pastry-like and was incongruous with the expectation of a pizza-ish experience. Some people felt like the dough was just too sweet. Maybe if you are someone that is really into deep-dish you might like these.

Maybe boost the savory flavor in the dough a bit. Something about the combo of tastes just felt a little unmatched. The vibes were off.

  • I ordered the marinara flavor in the Thingdrop. I was pretty excited as an adult, but more excited to tell my 4 year old we are having pizza cupcakes for dinner on saturday. The flavors were pretty good, but not worth the price compared to annie's bagel bites. Cheese was melty, sauce was good, but sadly they didn't meet my expectations. I think they are under filled and generally a little underwhelming.

    Feedback

I liked the flaky crust, which is better than a bagel bite, but they got hard like a bagel bite does if you overcook them. I won't repurchase them given the price point even with the thingdrop discount.

  • I had seen these on Thingtesting's TikTok a long time ago and was curious about trying them but had a hard time finding them near me until recently. I jumped at the chance to get them and have been loving them. I don't have an air fryer or microwave or toaster oven so I warm these up in the oven the old fashioned way. It never takes too long, though if I had any of those appliances I imagine these could be an even more instant snack! I'm not necessarily eating these for lunch or as a snack but they are kind of perfect when I get back from happy hour or have one too many drinks... these are a repeat buy for me now and are replacing the giant freezer pizzas that were taking up space in my freezer. Also they're fun for when you have people over and you can be like "want to try a pizza cupcake?" and they're like "what's that?" and you get to razzle dazzle them.

I'm not a vegetarian, and I'm shocked I'm saying this, but I almost prefer the margherita to the pepperoni.... I like them both a lot, but don't sleep on the marg if you're usually a meat-eater.

  • I had a big cupcake phase a while ago, but my love for anything cupcake lives on, so I was thrilled to discover this product through a Thingdrop. Growing up I often had pizza bagels when I went to a friend's house after school. It was one of those snacks I never particularly liked, but ate because it was decent enough. However, this product seemed like a fresh take on the concept, and after continually forgetting about them in my freezer, I finally had the opportunity to try them out! I used the pro tip on the back of my box as my guide and let the cupcakes thaw for 60 minutes before baking. I found these cupcakes to be quite good and far superior to pizza bagel bites. In particular, the crust was the superstar. I was surprised at how flaky and crispy it was, not to mention tasty. The cheese was pretty good though it tended to come out entirely after a bite or two since it didn't stay inside the cup. I wasn't a fan of the tomato sauce in the cupcake. But to be honest, it is rare to find a frozen pizza that can replicate the sauce of a fresh pizza, so I am not too surprised. This is the part of the review where I mention how expensive the product is. At $50 for a pack of 24, these are some seriously expensive cupcakes at over $2 a cup. When bought in-store, the price goes down a good amount, but this is definitely not a snack for people on a budget. However, the taste of this product is what is keeping this at 5 stars for me. This is an item I might find myself splurging on if I found it at the store. Even my brother thought these tasted great, so that is a huge win.

  • I tried the Margherita flavor. I didn't have any problems with the top burning, but I did go ahead and place the baking sheet in the middle of the oven based on reviews I've seen. I had to add a couple more minutes on—they didn't seem quite as golden as I wanted after the recommended 12 minutes at 375. There were a few good cheese pull moments in there! Overall they're pretty tasty!

This has great snack potential! The pastry is so light, though I wished there was slightly more sauce in the cupcakes to match the cheese ratio. Kind of expensive for what they are, but may be a good freezer splurge for a late night snack with friends on occasion.

  • Lot’s of packaging! Though, I know it’s hard to ship perishable food. An interesting take on a classic. These weren’t my favorite for a two reasons 1. The sauce was oddly sweet and lacked any basil flavor 2. The sauce to dough to cheese ratio was off. There seemed to be an abundance of dough/crust and not enough sauce I wouldn’t pick these up again for myself, but I would grab them if I was babysitting a picky eater

  • Tasty and unique! I followed the Pro Tip on the package (thaw for 30-60 minutes before baking) to prepare these, and they were worth the wait overall. The cheese is gooey and tastes fresh, and the crust is flaky! I was nervous about ordering something frozen but they arrived cold with plenty of dry ice left.

    Feedback

I think overall these are a little dry - if they came with something like a garlic dipping sauce on the side, they would be incredible. But I still enjoyed the concept and I would order again or pick up from the store if they are on sale.

  • Absolutely delicious! I ordered the margharita cupcakes and I loved them. Just the right balance of flakey cupcake and gooey cheesiness. I would love to continue to order these but it's definitely going to be a special occasion treat. The cost is too high. Shipping went smoothly. The cupcakes were packaged really well and in dry ice.

    Feedback

I looked into finding these in stores to bring the cost down but there's not many locations that sell them in my area. It would be great if The Pizza Cupcake was offered in more stores because I would definitely buy them more frequently if they were.

  • Love the flaky crust! Truly scrumptious. This hits all the notes in terms of convenience. Shipping was super speedy and they arrived still-frozen!

    Feedback

I ordered the pepperoni flavor, and the first one I pulled out of the box didn't have a pepperoni on top. I didn't love the taste of the sauce, which I recognize is just personal preference. I also think you either HAVE to thaw these before baking, or you risk overcooking the outside before the inside is warmed through. They're pretty expensive for what I feel like I get, too! Also, small gripe, but if the choice is (1) have a pizza in my freezer or (2) have a box of pizza cupcakes in my freezer, I would choose the pizza because the packaging is thinner and easier to store/slide in somewhere in the freezer. I find the large box to be difficult to store in a full freezer!

  • Tasted these at Expo West and its the only product I was still thinking about days later. So fluffy and the dough is so light. Enjoyed that they didn't skimp on cheese. I am health conscious and don't like to have a lot of carbs at once so this is the perfect size for me to indulge in "pizza". I ordered with an expo west discount code and although I know young brands struggle with shipping costs (especially frozen), the price point and minimum order quantity is not (in my opinion) going to work in expanding e-comm orders but I doubt that's the sales strategy the company will choose in the end anyway!

I tried these once before and I think cooking them properly makes or breaks your enjoyment of the product. Make sure to take the time to cook properly so the dough is warm and crispy and the cheese warms and melts all the way through.

  • It is a very delicious product. You have to defrost it first, but they’re great little snacks. I don’t know if I would purchase at full price, but they were worth it for the ThingDrop price.

They get shipped with dry ice, and the packaging is a bit confusing to get through at first. If you’re getting the product shipped from them, you need to consider if someone is going to be home to receive the product. I wish I knew if it was in stores near me, instead!

  • I baked half the box and was really upset I didn't set more aside for myself. The cheese was perfect and I love the little pepperoni in the middle. I love the way the crust came out... nice and flaky. 😋😋😋

    Feedback

I followed the suggestion of setting them out 1 hour before baking them... they came out Great!

  • I tried this a while ago. It wasn't much to write home about, and I was there were a dairy-free version.
