Tate’s Bake Shop earns glowing reviews for thin, crisp, buttery cookies—especially the classic and gluten-free chocolate chip—which many call the best store-bought option, close to homemade. Reviews also flag clear drawbacks: the cookies are very crunchy (divisive for chewy-cookie fans), sometimes too sweet or oily, crumbly, go stale quickly in the bag, and feel sparse per package.

Usually a chewy cookie person, but love these crunch. The buttery goodness slaps.
Tate’s Bake Shop cookies definitely still have a loyal fan base, and for good reason! They’re crispy, buttery, and have that perfect homemade vibe. While they might not be as in the spotlight as they once were, I still love how satisfying their cookies are—especially the classic chocolate chip. The thin, crispy texture sets them apart from other cookies, making them a treat you can’t put down. They might not be as trendy as they used to be, but they’ve definitely earned their place as a timeless favorite for cookie lovers!
I like the taste of these, but they are just a bit too crunchy for me. Also they are pricy!

These are very good if you like crispy cookies, which I don't. But they're good crispy cookies! Very good to soak in liquid for a cake, as you would a ladyfinger in tiramisu. The packaging is a bit fussy and difficult to reseal.
These are THE best packaged cookie brand. Crunch and delicious. I am obsessed with the classic chocolate chip.
Love the story about how the brand got started, I personally just prefer chewy cookies more though. Always feel like a fancy option at the grocery store
I’ve tried these once or twice, they’re pretty good, but they aren’t a staple of mine. I can see them being great in a gift or basket!
Yates truly sets the gold standard with their gluten-free chocolate chip cookies—they are unmatched. The taste, texture, and quality destroy everything else on the market. It’s hard to believe they’re gluten-free because they’re just that good. Whether you’re gluten-free or not, these cookies are a game-changer and an absolute must-try. Yates continues to prove they’re the best of the best in every category they touch.

Are they supposed to be so dry? I like a crispy cookie as much as the next person, but these were crumbly and super dry. Maybe I live too far from NY and they expire on the way or perhaps they need to be dunked in milk. Ingredients looked good though, which is why I bought them. Cute packaging also.
The chocolate chip cookies are thin, crispy, and delicious. They have an array of cookies to fit people's dietary needs. Very flavorful but I wish they could make a chewy cookie.
Love their vegan chocolate chip cookies! Wish they were more widely stocked and came in their mini sizes.
I far prefer a crispy chocolate chip cookie to a squishy one when they’re coming out of a prepackaged bag. These are some of the absolute best. You can’t go wrong bringing these to a friend who invited you for dinner or even grabbing a bag at the airport to get through a long travel day.

Tate's Bake Shop bakes and sells cookies that are delicious and addictive! I'm a long time Pepperidge Farm cookie fan and am switching my allegiances o Tate. Cookies are tasty and baked to the perfect crispness. There are just the right amount of cookies in each bag - enough to be very satisfying - but won't allow me to majorly over indulge. Highly reoommend
I think whether or not you like these will depend on whether you like your cookies crispy or chewy. I'm definitely a crispy cookie person, and these are perfect-light, crispy all the way through, not too sweet. If you like a chewier cookie, you probably won't like these. Only thing that could be improved is the packaging - I find that these tend to go stale pretty quickly unless you use an extra zip bag, which I prefer to avoid in general.
normally i'm not one for a crispy cookie, but the bags of little cookies are great and the perfect size!
Tate's Bake Shop makes the best gluten free cookies that taste as good as they feel after eating! Love not having to sacrifice flavor for my dietary needs/decisions.
Disappointing.

I'll always like Tate's cookies — this is one of those staples that no one hates. Few people will be wowed or in love with the product (I'm not), but you really can't go wrong with these. They're thin and crispy and great eaten as is or sprinkled over ice cream. They're also readily available pretty much anywhere you shop for pantry goods. A good ol' reliable cookie pick for sure!

consistently tasty treats - and having gluten free options lets me treat my sister in law to quick yummy desserts!
