Tatcha earns largely positive reviews as a luxurious, effective skincare line, with standouts like The Dewy Skin Cream, The Water Cream, The Rice Wash/Polish, Camellia Cleansing Oil, and The Silk Canvas primer delivering soft, glowy, smooth skin and strong makeup prep. However, reviewers flag weaknesses: some formulas feel heavy or sticky, fragrance irritates sensitive skin, sunscreens and a few moisturizers underwhelm, and results can be average relative to hype.

Purchased the water cream moisturizer from Sephora and used it both day and night on my combination skin. The product's packaging is pretty, durable, and super premium—for instance, this cream came with a little gold spoon application that had a hook on the top so you never have to contaminate the product with your fingers. This particular cream is in a wide-mouth jar with a big open top that screws up and I found out after opening that that is the worst packaging for a cream like this because of the oxygenation. I felt that my skin was more dewy and supple only a couple of hours after using and then it returned to it's natural combo state. I haven't repurchased because this product wasn't that effective and the price is high.
I got a birthday gift from Sephora that included many different sample sizes of Tatcha products, and I fell in love. The rice face wash erased my acne and helped the texture of my skin so much, and you really only need a pea size amount each time. My only issue is the price. It's out of my price range for every day use.

I really wanted to like Tatcha more. The products are good, don't get me wrong, but they're not any better than other products on the market right now.
The Water Cream is the most perfect lotion I've ever used. Absorbs instantly, is so cooling, smells AMAZING, and leaves me feeling moisturized but not weighed down. I'm a sucker for the beautiful packaging already, but having such a nice lotion inside the packaging is really the cherry on top. Great skincare that looks even prettier alongside my other products on the shelf.
great
Have only tried the water cream and it’s an amazing light texture that leaves a dewy look. Smelled good and isn’t sticky.
The rice wash is top-tier. A little expensive but in my opinion, worth it!
Solid
Love it!

I’ve only tried their face wash and I was indifferent about ti. Didnt irritate my sensitive skin so I guess that is a plus.
Given the price point, most Tatcha products fall short. The real exception is the water cream, a staple in my skincare routine.

I've really loved all of the products that I've tried from matcha, with the singular exception of their pore filling primer. It's excellent as a pore filler but, like many filling primers, induces breakouts. Nevertheless I give this brand 5 stars because that's just a kind of product that I now realize doesn't suit my skin. Dewy cream, water cream, indigo cream, rice enzyme cleanser, paper are all great.
So overrated, way too thick and did not work for my skin.

If you have a wide budget, their product is for you. I haven't tried their skincare products but their makeup is great, especially their powder.
Products aren’t life changing, plus most of them have fragrance, which is a no for me in skincare. There are better skincare brands out there for a better price.

Product works well, but there is better stuff on the market at a lower price point.
I have the sunscreen spf 50, It’s really good under my make up.

Quite expensive, but mostly a great brand. The water cream is so good for the summer, but it is not hydrating enough for me in the winter, and the dewy skin cream is not for me. It leaves me feeling a little bit too sticky. I love the lip sleeping mask from there too.
Without considering the price, I really like the quality and texture of the products, especially the indigo cream. Even my husband uses it -- it is super nourishing and hydrating for very dry skin, without being irritating. The sunscreen mattifies and sinks in quickly. The primer balm only needs a tiny amount, the scoop actually is redundant because any more and it leaves a white cast.
