Sauz earns strong reviews for delivering fresh-tasting, uniquely flavored jarred sauces that many consider among the best they’ve tried, with standouts like Hot Honey Marinara, Summer Lemon Marinara, Wild Rosemary, Cracked Pepper Parmesan, and Creamy Calabrian Vodka requiring little to no doctoring. Reviews also flag notable drawbacks: certain flavors can skew too sweet, too spicy, or overly lemony/pithy, and several cite high calories and salt along with a consistently high price that limits repeat buys.

I recently tried the vodka sauce flavor of this and I really enjoyed it . I thought it was very flavorful and not too spicy, but just right. I liked the low amount of ingredients and I thought they seemed healthier than other options out there.
sauz is soooo cute and innovative. never seen a pasta sauce with its packaging or flavors. ingredients are super clean as well. wish it was a tad cheaper though

So so amazing! The Summer Lemon Marinara is far and away my favourite — can’t wait for Sauz to expand into more retailers.

Exceeded my expectations! I never buy jarred pasta sauce since I think making it yourself doesn’t really take much longer and is less expensive but this might change my mind. I had the hot honey arrabbiata and added it to store bought tortellini. It was so good! It was spicy and sweet and the whole meal came together in less than 10 min. I will be keeping this on hand for those nights I just don’t feel like cooking.

Looks like Sauz reported my honest review to have it removed, so here it is again: incredibly suss and disappointing that this page exploded with reviews by brand new accounts with only 1 review! if I had to guess, Sauz is buying reviews to help artificially inflate their brand. Regardless, as a pasta marinara aficionado, I purchased both the Hot Honey Arrabbiata and the Summer Lemon Marinara to give the good people of ThingTesting an honest review. They're both fine. Nothing Special. Better than Ragu, but not nearly as good as Rao's or Carbone's.
These are a great option if you need jarred sauce. The hot honey one has a cult following. They don’t taste like crappy overly sugary marinara sauces from the store. They instead have a nice amount of real-tasting flavor.
Cool jar and nice ingredients plus different flavors than normal. A bit high priced in my opinion though.
Love the Calabrian chili and pepper Parmesan flavors. Elevated sauces to make a quick dinner that tastes like you spent a lot longer in front of the stove. Wonderful to have on hand in the pantry to put on pasta or use in lasagne or baked pastas to make them special.
OBSESSED WITH THIS SAUCE BRAND!!! Literally tried it and it is my new favorite pasta sauce even though it is a bit expensive, it is worth the splurge! Such creative and quality flavors.

The sauce has layers of flavors. The citric flavor adds a nice refreshing taste and smell. The citrus flavor seems to suppress the tomato and if you like citrus, you will like this sauce. It doesn't taste overly salty and doesn't taste spicy. I've used with pasta, as a dip and eat it straight out of the jar. It is bold, flavorful and quite delicious.
Holy yum!!! The hot honey marinara brought my homemade pan pizza to the next level. I used my residual jar of sauce and added it to pasta. Soo good! Perfectly spicy and not too sweet.

Honestly HUGE fan of this sauce. I tried two flavors- the lemon and the hot honey and they were both insanely delicious. This will be my go-to for sauce from now on. I just wish they had more flavors! I am also dying to try toe vodka sauce which I have not been able to find in Whole Foods. So patiently waiting for that!

I have been a Rao's girlie for the last 5 years. The thought of trying a different brand was not that enticing until I met Sauz. The tangy Summer Lemon Marinara has so much flavor and depth!! I seriously might never be able to do sauce sans citrus again. It is like sunshine captured in a jar and ready to burst out. The tasting experience very much aligned with the marketing of the brand. Small batch does make all the difference. If you are going to splurge on a tomato sauce that tastes complex and full of flavor, go for Sauz.

First impression: branding is bright and awesome - wanted to try it but the price was a bit much. What happened here: I went to get this through the offer as I've been wanting to try this - and guess who bought it and forgot their receipt - we shall review it anyway! I really liked this sauce- I purchased the Hot Honey Marinara and I cannot say it disappointed. I feel with most sauces you are always adding extra seasonings and it doesn't hit the way you wanted it to. This tastes great! Its at a place, in my opinion, where you have room to add more flavor in if you'd like - or you can simply add in some veggies, meatballs and let the flavors collide and call it a day. Im at least thankful I bought this on sale. The price point is more than I'd like to pay - but for America, if you want quality you have to pay these days. Now I'm dying to try the Vodka sauce!

The packaging on these were great, both the box and the clean labels. The lemon marinara smells incredible—like I want a candle of that smell to burn in my house. The tomato lemon flavor was not my favorite however—the tomato lemon flavor combo just wasn’t for me, even though I love them on my own. I did enjoy the hot honey arrabiatta a lot, it definitely had a good kick (didn’t get much honey but did think it tasted great). I’ll keep trying other flavors from this brand because I could tell it was high quality and I love that they’re branching out from the more classic jarred pasta sauce flavors.

The arrabbiata was sweeter than i'd like my tomato sauce to be and the marinara was bitter like the pith of a lemon was cooked in it. Not unpalatable but not my preference 🤷🏾♀️

I have yet to try the summer lemon, but the hot honey arrabbiata was SO good! It’s the perfect combo of sweet and spicy. I hope to find Sauz in store soon!

These sauces were absolutely delicious!!! Did not require any doctoring up to make flavorful, they were completely delicious all on their own. Was impressed by the complexity of flavor they were able to acheive in a jarred sauce. Am super interested in trying other flavors!

I recently tried Sauz and would rate it positively, but with some notes. The flavor profile is impressiverich, bold, and adds a delightful kick to any dish. It's versatile enough to enhance everything from grilled meats to veggie bowls.mHowever, the cost is on the higher side. While the quality justifies a premium to some extent, it might not fit into everyone's budget for regular use. If you're looking for a flavorful sauce that elevates your cooking and don't mind spending a bit more, Sauz is a great option to consider. Overall, it's worth it for the taste, but the price keeps it from being an everyday staple for me.
These sauces are so good, both in flavor and consistency! I've tried the miso one, the rosemary one, the lemon one, and the hot honey one. i like how there's a flavor for every type of dish im making- whether veggie-forward or protein-forward.
