quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

I really like these! Mine is rose gold and still looks nice and fresh, the bottom hasn't tarnished or anything like that in the few years I've had it. (But of course I replace the brush head! Not gross!) The designs are cute and I want to update to a new color soon! Not sure hoooow effective the vibration is but hey, better than nothing.

Vibration could definitely be more powerful, and the little stand that it comes with is super hard to keep clean, I had to abandon it!
It does the trick, but isn’t anything special. The cap is convenient for travel, but other than that I couldn’t justify the price relative to other options out there.

I was drawn to Quip by their innovative design and fun packaging. My partner and I tried out the toothbrushes last year while travelling, and found them quite good. However, I went back to my Sonicare once we returned home. While the Quip provided a good overall clean, I didn't find it as effective or powerful as my Sonicare, but for the lower pricepoint, it was definitely a great offering. Both use sonic vibrations and are definitely better than manual cleaning. While the Sonicare provides better cleaning in my opinion, the Quip definitely hits a homerun on the design front.

It would be great to see the Quip available at drugstores in Canada to make it more accessible for Canadians.
I really wanted to love their reusable floss pick... but it felt like I was about to rip my teeth out while flossing or the pick was about to break. It’s a cool concept since it’s an eco alternative to single use plastic picks, but it just didn’t work that well for me. I do like that it comes with a mirror so it’s good to travel with or slip in your purse. Unfortunately won’t be repurchasing.

I love everything about Quip. I love the sleek design -- I have the all-black brush -- the customer service and all of their branding. And the fact that it keeps me on point with my dental hygiene.
Feedback
Less packaging -- i get one brush replacement and battery every 3 months, but the packaging seems to be made for more than one at a time.
Just get a sonic toothbrush, it’s a better investment. This is nice and sleek and comfortable to hold, but it’s pretty low performance/effectiveness.
Feedback
I really didn’t like their subscription service. There are options you literally don’t have or can’t see until you go to cancel it. Also I liked their toothpaste but they changed the packaging and it became really hard to squeeze out.

At first, I loved my Quip toothbrush. I still love the look of it even after a few years, but I have had to get replacements a few times. The convenience of getting new brush heads delivered has kept me a customer.
Feedback
I've had issues with the handle cracking where the brush head connects, so the toothbrush doesn't stay attached. I've also had problems with the brush turning off after only a few seconds of being on. Their support has always been great in replacing the brush, but it's still a hassle.

The packaging is cool and I like that it’s compact and travel friendly. I didn’t feel like the toothbrush is anything super special, just that it vibrates. I prefer the bristle of my toothbrush to be more dynamic, and the bristle of quip is all the same length so I don’t feel like it gets into the cracks of my teeth as well. The biggest negative factor for me is that it uses batteries, and I don’t think that is sustainable or convenient.

Eliminate the usage of batteries and make whip be rechargeable.
I had a subscription for a while and it wasn't worth it. Not having an option to select brush density made this a no go for me - the brush it comes with is too hard (my dentist recommends a soft brush to be easier on your gums). Also, the dental floss is not good for people who have tight spaces between their teeth.
I love the actual brush - it makes my teeth feel very clean. I do struggle with getting the top off and on to insert the replacement, and I find that the battery runs out quickly.

The refills come too quickly, I think. I seem to always have extra spare heads lying around.

this toothbrush is awesome, our whole family uses them, the design is discrete and the replacement heads come like clockwork... it's not the most robust toothbrush out there for sure but it's miles better than a standard toothbrush... also the new products are great (e.g. floss)
I love this brand. My kids and I are all subscribers, and changing out the heads is one of their favorite moves. The timer is clutch! Keeps my lazy kids brushing as long as they're supposed to.

My only complaint is that I seem to always have extra gear lying around. Maybe that's me? :)
Metal brush and replacement head subscription are great, and they've made incredible progress in making packaging recyclable and plastic free.

Refillable floss pick was beautiful and a great idea, but didn't hold any tension and were really inconvenient to use.
I've had Quip for a few years now and I've really enjoyed it! There is literally no way I would change my toothbrush this frequently if not for this subscription model, and honestly my dentist visits have gotten less painful since I got a Quip. The holder/cap is super reliable and continues to hold up, even after being carted around and thrown in my bag, and in general it's just an attractive product! I wasn't really ready to commit to a Sonicare or something like that (also they seem to take up so much counter space -- I live in a New York apartment!!) so the Quip has worked great for me! I also have the bluetooth motor (lol embarrassing) and even though I ignore it 95% of the time, my rewards still come through when I do acknowledge it! And I honestly enjoy getting the stats about my brushing.

The battery life is soooo unpredictable -- sometimes my battery will die weeks or months before my refill ships, and sometimes it will still be going strong even after my refill arrives.

Used this as an 'in-between toothbrush while I waited for my Sonicare brush to arrive. I was not very impressed with the kind of 'sonic vibrations' it offered.
Feedback
Nice design, just not impressed with the brush head or vibration amount.
Generally a fan of Quip - the brush itself is sleek, non-intrusive on the counter, and I adore the thirty-second vibration that tells you when to switch to the next quadrant of your mouth. My dental school friends, all recommend Phillips/Oral-B over Quip however - take that as you will.

The refills could be priced a bit better
Great for a set it and forget it approach to brushing. I just replace brushheads as they get shipped to me. Because I am now doing invisalign with attachments, I buy two heads per delivery to account for the wearout (more brushing in a day, also the attachments seem to wear down the bristles faster). It's the convenience & (seemingly) reduced waste that really wins me over. I've had to replace my handle twice after the heads wouldn't stay snug on the anymore. Both times customer service replaced them for free but I had to submit photos and wait for shipment (which can be annoying to have your toothbrush head pop off randomly until then). My teeth feel pretty clean but I still get cavities (which... I realize has a lot of other factors), but plaque-wise no buildup. I don't know if the vibrations actually do anything - esp compared to other brushes that spin / scrub.
Feedback
Wish there was a way to buy replacement handles.
I went from a normal toothbrush to this, so I don't have the performance of any other electric toothbrushes to compare. For that reason, it's great. It's very easy to travel with, the subscription service is convenient and reminds me to refresh my brush, and it looks nice!

This is as smart as a toothbrush can get - but for what? After a few weeks I realized that as an adult who brushes my teeth every day I really didn't gain anything from the additional features.
✨️I LOVE THIS toothbrush 🪥 ...!✨️ It works so well and I love the app! It makes me want to brush my teeth lol.. I like that it shows a calendar for how often I brush and records the strokes and the time. Incredible customer service as well there was a month earlier this year where the app wasn't recording my brushing and i contacted support and within a few days the app was taken down, restored, updated, and completely evamped and has been working fine ever since! I love that the refill heads come with a new battery each time... and the subscription is so easy to use and incredibly useful! Best electric toothbrush 🪥 I've ever owned or used!!! ✨️Thank you QUIP...!! 😍🙌🏻🙏🏻🪥💯💕🥰✨️
