Reviews mention

  • Vibrant flavor variety
  • Refreshing fizzy mouthfeel
  • Lighter, cleaner ingredients
  • Eye-catching playful packaging
  • Lingering stevia aftertaste
  • Occasionally too sweet profile
  • Inconsistent soda dupes
  • Lower carbonation intensity

Poppi earns largely positive reviews as a tasty, lower-sugar soda alternative that many say curbs cravings, feels lighter on the stomach, and sometimes helps with bloating; favorites include Raspberry Rose, Orange, Ginger Lime, Doc Pop, Cherry Limeade, Classic Cola, and Root Beer. Reviews also flag weaknesses: a noticeable stevia/artificial aftertaste for some, occasional vinegary tang or sweetness that runs too high, less carbonation than expected, mixed success of cola/root beer “dupes,” and inconsistent alignment with claimed gut benefits.

  • Definitely depends on the flavor you get, but the best flavors are reallyyyy good! A great alternative to regular soda and I am not a big soda person to begin with. Just have to be careful not to have too many because the probiotics can be a lot on a stomach that it isn't used to it.

  • Ginger Lime is my favorite! Perfect at any time with any meal… ps. Used to only find it at WholeFoods, now it’s everywhere! Definitely recommend it served chilled!

  • So far this brand is one of my favorite healthier sodas that I've tried. I tried the orange flavor and strawberry lemon flavor. To me they tasted just like fruit juice and had the perfect sweet but not too sweet flavor. I loved the strawberry flavor, it was a perfect refreshing summer drink. Will definitely be drinking it on the regular!

  • I really enjoy drinking Poppi's. They have so many flavor profiles if you want something sweeter like a dessert, or if you want something a bit more on the traditional soda side. Now - I can't say this is 100% working for me as a prebiotic - but I do enjoying having a healthier alternative to regular soda. The price point is always great, and the packing is vibrant and fun.

  • I love this brand so much. It is my go-to drink to replace all the bad stuff in the soda space. My absolute favorite flavors are orange soda, Doc Pop, and Root Beer. It is a staple in my fridge! However, it is quite hard to find Doc Pop online, due to the delayed shipping. Update- they now sell two different variety packs at Costco for 15 cans.

  • Poppi is the best!! As someone who has always had stomach issues, these are such a yummy drink that gives me my prebiotics and have minimal sugar. I buy a couple 4-packs every time I am at Target or Whole Foods. They have so many delicious flavors- the orange and watermelon are my favorite!!! And honestly, between Poppi and Ollipop- I love both but I would always prefer a Poppi. The flavors are just so much crisper.

  • Finally got around to trying one at one of my fav coffee shops and honestly, was pleasantly surprised! Nice carbonation and good flavor without a mouthful of sugar! I tried the strawberry lemonade, but now want to try the cola one.

I think of soda as having a tad bit more carbonation. This felt like a seltzer. But otherwise...no qualms!

  • good flavor variety and taste, pretty affordable

    could have more flavors

  • I'm OBSESSED with Poppi. Seltzer isn't great for my stomach so the addition of prebiotics is really helpful for me. Especially when I get a soda craving, I love having these on hand to help with that! So many great and tasty flavors too!

    Kind of expensive

  • I love the packaging - grabbed them from Whole Foods! Often on sale at my local one. I was hoping the flavor would be a little less sweet, maybe more along the line of Seltzer - the watermelon was very refreshing but tasted so much like sugar. Overall, as a soda, I think it tastes good. As a regular drink, was too sweet!

  • I tried the lime, orange, and strawberry flavors, and really liked them all. They were tangy and not too sweet, and filled the craving when I wanted something other than water. I also think the packaging & the colors are really fun, and they're often on sale at Whole Foods.

They talk a lot about prebiotics and health benefits, and I'm not sure I totally believe that they're actually good for my gut. They just seem less sugary than soda to me!

  • Poppi has a good concept - soda with prebiotic and less sugar. The flavors are fruit based and fun to drink alone. The ingredients somehow taste a bit artificial to me, though. It is fun to try, but may not work so well for people with sensitive palates.

  • As with other products in this category, I appreciate the lower added sugar and healthier ingredients, via the inclusion of prebiotics, than traditional soda. However, I remain skeptical as to whether or not the healthier ingredients are in a high enough quantity so as to truly impact health.

  • Love Poppi so much, I just wish it was more affordable. The flavor selection is amazing, and the orange creamsicle tastes better than any other orange cream soda that I have tried. Give it a try! It's worth it.

  • Honestly, I think all healthy disorder is overrated. They don’t really taste good but they try to make it seem like it’s healthy. I would probably never purchase again. I feel like it was a waste of money.

  • I love the tasty and fun flavors that Poppi has. I have been loving the raspberry right now. I feel great about drinking it and feel like I am doing good for my gut health. It’s the perfect refreshment after work!

  • I enjoy Poppi as a lower sugar alternative to traditional soda when I would like something with more flavor than water or sparkling water. The prebiotics and fiber are added benefits, though the jury is still out on if they are in a high enough volume to actually impact gut health.
