Reviews mention

  • Vibrant, flavorful profiles
  • Crisp, refreshing carbonation
  • Appealing, playful packaging
  • Versatile, mocktail-friendly drink
  • Noticeable stevia aftertaste
  • Inconsistent flavor execution
  • Occasionally low carbonation
  • Polarizing cola and root beer

Poppi earns largely positive reviews as a satisfying soda alternative that tastes close to the real thing—standouts include Raspberry Rose, Strawberry Lemon, Orange, Ginger Lime, Doc Pop, Classic Cola, and Cherry Limeade—while many praise the light, crisp fizz and perceived gut-friendly prebiotic/ACV benefits. Reviews also flag weaknesses: a noticeable stevia or “diet” aftertaste in some flavors, variability by flavor (cola/root beer polarizing), occasional flatness or low carbonation, and that several drinkers don’t feel meaningful gut effects.

  • I love the design of the cans and when I see them I always want to try a new flavor. All of the colors so fun and upbeat. I like the concept of a prebiotic soda. Unfortunately, I never really like the flavors much. I'll keep trying though.

  • I’m not sure why this drink is very popular. To me it tastes like soda and is way too sweet to be a healthy beverage to consume daily. I know that us has prebiotics, but there healthier alternatives to this drink.

  • I was obsessed with Poppi when I first tried it a few years ago and it was the first or maybe one of the first prebiotic drinks on the market. Since then, a lot of new and better ones have been released that I much prefer.

  • These are the best soda alternative drinks around. They literally taste like a treat and I love having them in the afternoons as a pick me up when I’m working from home the flavors are all amazing and I never get bored of them.

  • I don't get the hype. Poppi tastes fine, but when you compare it to things like Olipop, Wildwonder, any old kombucha, and etc, Poppi doesn't deliver a lot. Poppi only has 2g of fiber, while Olipop and wild wonder have 5-9g. Kombucha has probiotics. All Poppi has is ACV which has limited efficacy

  • I stand by the rose flavor but they’re others have an artificial flavor to them that I can’t personally get around. And I picture the people who found pond scum in their can everytime I drink one so typically don’t.

  • Poppi is a cool idea — a gut-friendly soda with prebiotics and low sugar, wrapped in cute, colorful packaging. Some flavors are genuinely refreshing and tasty, like the Raspberry Rose or Classic Cola. Others come off a bit too vinegary or artificial, depending on your taste. It’s a fun alternative to regular soda, but not all the flavors land, and it’s a bit pricey for what it is. Worth trying, but not a must-have!

  • I don't get why everyone is so obsessed with Poppi. I think it taste terrible and is not worth the hefty price. I do like their packaging, the bright colors really catch your eye.

  • I tried it because of the hype and I really don't understand what it's all about. I really couldn't get through the taste. I tried the strawberry lemon and the stevia was potent. It's not something I would purchase in the future. I also think it's expensive for a drink can. I'll give it one star for the bright graphics.

  • This gut friendly soda has some amazing flavors without the guilt. They have the right amount of sugar. They are carbonated. Definitely a healthier option.

  • Everyone in our family loves this. The only thing I don’t like is the excessive carbonation. Pour it in a glass and it’s better to drink. When it is cold , it has more crispy yummy and lemony taste which helps a lot in hot days

  • I love Poppi! I no longer have to feel guilty when I'm reaching for a carbonated beverage in the afternoons. They have a nice variety of flavors and I appreciate the cute can designs. I find that I reach for Poppi over traditional sodas more often now to satisfy my sweet tooth.

  • These are so good!! I especially love their strawberry rose and wild berry flavor. Nice and refreshing, and not too sweet. I always make sure to have 1-3 cans in the fridge, so that I can enjoy one after work.

  • I’ve tried a variety of flavors from this brand and unfortunately, I haven’t found a favorite. The flavors leave a strange aftertaste for the kiddos and I. I’m willing to give it another go only because the flavors are so fun!

  • I love these prebiotic sodas from Poppi! They have delicious flavors and low in sugar.

  • I think these are great! I love the product’s mission and the flavors are great. Unfortunately, I have to be extremely careful about the amount of sugar I consume, so even with the little they have, it’s too much to be a regular part of my diet. But they make for an amazing treat!

  • I’m a fan of Poppi drinks because of the flavors and low calories / sugar but I don’t depend on them for gut health. A much prefer the fruit based flavors > the classic soda flavors. They’re a little expensive but can be found sometimes at Costco.

  • So I've tried all the flavors pretty much. Some of them were kind of mid to start off, but they grew on me since I bought the 4 packs of each flavor. The rose one seemed to grow on me the most. They can't hang with Olipop though.
