OLAPLEX delivers noticeable repair and shine for many—especially bleached and color‑treated hair—with standouts like No. 3 Hair Perfector, No. 6 Bond Smoother, No. 7 Bonding Oil, and the 4P Purple Shampoo frequently praised in reviews. However, reviews also flag drawbacks: some experience dryness, heaviness or greasiness, residue, overly strong toning or staining from purple products, mixed or short‑lived results, and concerns about overuse or sensitivity, making OLAPLEX effective but not universally foolproof.

OLAPLEX No. 3 is a standout for repairing and maintaining damaged hair, offering salon-quality results at home. While the price is steep, its efficacy justifies the cost for many. Best for those committed to a consistent haircare routine. For extreme damage, consider supplementing with heavier moisturizers.
Effective at repairing damage from bleach, heat, and chemical treatments. • A little product goes a long way. • Noticeable results for many users after just a few uses. • Clean ingredients and cruelty-free.
This really brings out natural curls easily! My mom just found out her hair is actually naturally curly, and just putting a bit of this on her damp hair, scrunching it, and then diffusing/air drying gives her really lovely well-defined natural curls. Super easy to use, and the results lasted for a couple of days on her (basically until she washed her hair again). Definitely would recommend!

Our filtration system is not good, so we always have hard water. My hair has been brittle and unappealing in the past year, so I tried their bond repairing series. Life-changing. My hair is back to silky soft texture!
Olaplex seriously saved my hair! I have very fine hair prone to easily breaking. I could never find a product that made it stronger but was also light enough not to leave my hair looking weighed down. The combination of these products have made all the difference. My hair looks and feels healthier!
i almost only use olaplex and i honestly don't know why. it's dependable but the prices are kind of crazy for what it is. i would think about trying out cheaper brands or things that might work better, no3 is great tho
I love using the Ola Plex, shampoo and conditioner daily for my hair. I have curly hair and it actually isn’t done at all, but I still love these products because they make my hair clean and feel very soft.

Olaplex has become a staple in my hair care routine, delivering noticeable improvements in strength, shine, and manageability. Their patented bond-building technology works to repair damaged disulfide bonds within the hair, making it especially beneficial for those with color-treated or chemically processed hair .
Honestly olaplex was recommended to me by my hairstylist. I used it for maybe over a year. It’s quite pricey, but I don’t really think it did much for my hair for the prize. It’s a good product and you have to know how much to use.
I tried the viral hair oil and I wasn’t super impressed. For one it’s very yellow so if you have platinum hair, do not use as it will taint it. it’s a little liquidy. I put it on my hair and it makes my hair feel fine but nothing out of the ordinary or results that could be obtained a cheaper brand. I like the innovative quality and packaging. You don’t have to use much either just a couple drops. it’s good for a deep nourishment as it is an oil. I use this as needed with my hair and tips feel dry

I kept hearing amazing things about this product from friends and from online reviews so I tried it, and honestly, I wasn't super impressed. Especially considering the price, this Hair Perfector is not something I would consider worth it for the results you get or lack thereof.
Their hair products are great for damaged hair.
I’ve only tried Olaplex’s bonding oil, and I originally got a tiny bottle as a free sample with a Sephora purchase. Honestly? This little bottle has lasted forever—and it seriously works so well. I love using it when my hair feels dry or frizzy, and it always helps smooth everything out without weighing my hair down. It also doubles as a heat protectant, which is a huge plus. I use it sparingly, and even though the bottle is tiny, it’s lasted me months. Whenever I finally run out, I definitely plan on purchasing the full size. From my experience, it’s an amazing product that does exactly what it claims to do.
I dont buy into these brands that put fancy chemicals into their products, i like a simple natural animal based approach.

i have only tried two of their products, i think they were okay for the price i did not notice a huge difference in my hair
Love olaplex!
I tried the Olaplex No. 7 Bonding Oil, and while it has a great texture and a pleasant scent, I’m not entirely convinced it makes a significant difference. It feels like I could achieve similar results with any other light oil. That said, it does add a nice shine and creates the illusion of healthier hair, which can be helpful in a pinch.

I’ve found that some products do work and work well but it adds an additional step in my routine.
I love using the No3 before I detangle and dry my hair and then use the No7 before and after I style it. I feel like they really keep my ends looking nice and healthy. I haven't used the whole system as I prefer to use plastic free hair care as much as possible, so I use my dip shampoo and conditioner bars along with my olaplaex which keeps my hair looking great
Good quality hair products that actually help restore hair damage
