Necessaire earns mixed-to-positive reviews: the brand delivers sensorial, spa-like body care—especially Eucalyptus and Sandalwood Body Washes, the Body Exfoliator, Body Serum, select deodorants, and a well-loved mineral Sunscreen—yet several reviewers find formulas average for the hype and small sizes. Strengths include chic, functional packaging, gentle options for sensitive skin, and standout scents; weaknesses surface around inconsistent deodorant efficacy/irritation, lotion and serum being light for very dry skin, occasional faulty pumps or hard-to-empty tubes, and scents (celery/oregano notes, weak longevity) not pleasing everyone.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
LOVE the packaging, personally not a big fan of the body wash scent (even though I love eucalyptus) but it is still a great product if just for the great dispenser.
Necessaire body products are definitely That Girl--everyone from influencers to your chic friends rave about it. The products smell good and are high quality and the price point is manageable, though one goes through the body wash too fast for it to be in full time rotation. +1 point for their acne products (body wash and spray) being FSA eligible as well. Their AHA deodorant also turned me onto "serum" based deodorants, which, while do not hold up in a DC summer, do hold up much of the rest of the year. Looking forward to trying the shampoo that everyone raves about as well!
I absolutely love Nécessaire. The quality and effectiveness of their products have made them a staple in my daily routine. From the sleek packaging to the thoughtfully formulated ingredients, every aspect of Nécessaire speaks to their commitment to excellence. I live with a lot of their products, and they never disappoint. It’s a brand that truly understands the importance of both function and aesthetics.
I got this first around when they were just starting out via an esthetician, and amazing to see how much they've grown. love their serum, body wash, and scrub bar. it is a bit expensive / on the lux side, but it also makes a great gift in a little set.

I’m a big fan of the body washes so far

It feels so rare to find a brand that cares about the product inside and out. The packaging is great, but the use of clean ingredients is even better. Eucalyptus Deodorant: I liked the bottle and general application, but the smell is just way too weak for a daily deodorant. Body Serum: A great combo of ceramides and hyaluronic acid; extremely similar in texture to the COSRX Snail Mucin Cream. Biggest difference for me is the COSRX keeps my skin feeling hydrated for way longer, and is much less expensive, but is unfortunately now made with phenoxyethanol. Mineral Sunscreen: I don't have a ton of experience with mineral sunscreens, but this seems like a great one. My biggest issue with it so far is the greasy smell it can sometimes have during the day.

Obsessed with the way these look in my shower!

A little pricey
I do feel like this product is a bit overrated or maybe it just doesn't work for my skin? I didn't find their lotion or body wash to be especially moisturizing and that's what I think is the most important. I love the minimalist packaging but I don't think it's worth the price tag.
I've never been one to buy into the adage that more expensive products are better, especially for shampoo and conditioner, but the rosemary shampoo & conditioner makes such a huge difference to my hair that I'm upset it's so good! My hair is always softer, shinier, and looks incredible after use.
The body wash smells soo lovely and clean. Its nothing extraordinary honestly when it comes to body washes but I think the travel size packaging is SO practical since its a twist to close and open. The branding is gorgeous as well.
Fastest I've ever gone through a body wash! :( smelled great but way too small
the hand retinol's formula is runny, leaks inside of the cap and pills badly. The original hand cream has a nice texture but I don't find it that moisturizing. also, over time the aluminum tubes develop cracks on the sides which wastes product and turns into a disgusting, sticky mess.

All the Necessaire products I've tried have been high quality, and made my sensitive skin feel great. Their products feel luxurious, and make great gifts!!
I have been using Necessaire for a few years now. Everything is super high quality and works great. I also love the packaging and how it looks in my shower. Never been disappointed by one of their products.
I recently used up an entire bottle of the Body Wash in the Eucalyptus scent, and have definitely been loving it. The The eucalyptus scent is like a mini spa moment every time I shower – super refreshing. The formula is creamy and lathers up nicely, so a little goes a long way. Plus, my skin doesn't feel all dry and stripped after using it. The only reason why I'm giving it a four stars is because I find the price a little steep for a body wash.
Love their packaging/branding! I tried out their body exfoliator and absolutely loved it! I would definitely buy more from their line whenever I want to splurge on good shower essentials.
I have the Necessaire Body Wash in Eucalyptus. I love it. It smells amazing, doesn't dry out or irritate my skin, and the bottle top dispenser is really satisfying to use. I have bounced around between body washes but I think I have finally landed on one and will buy another once I have used the last of this.

I've wanted to try this brand a long time. I got the body serum, the oil and the hand cream for Christmas. Body Serum – i like it, but i also just like that it's a body serum, which is hard to find (I prefer this one to Uni, mostly because it's fragrance free). I'm interested in seeing other brands do this, but until then, I'll probably subscribe to this one – it's a nice base layer out of the shower before the oil or lotion Shampoo/Conditioner – love it! Love that it's fragrance free and clean (perfect for pregnancy – the MANY other "clean" shampoo/conditioners I've tried have been awful.) Highly recommend. Will keep this subscription going, Body Oil – very nice but also nothing special. It's a nice light weight oil. I avoid fragrance on my face, but let myself get a little wild with fragrance on my body so I'll probably revert to another oil for my daily needs (like OSEA) Hand Cream – a very nice light weight hand cream. I typically would use something a little heavier (I like Skin Food) but it comes in a very chic, small-ish bottle I can throw in my purse. I like it quite a bit, but may not NEED it. GREAT branding - looks beautiful on the shelf. Curious to try a few other products they have. I love how clean it is (supposedly).
Super elevated, luxury feeling products. Their branding is so chic and they have great incentives for subscribers on their website. Prices are a little high but definitely worth it if you enjoy indulging in self-care/shower and bath goodies.

Necessaire has high quality body washes that are super luxurious. That being said, the smell is personally not for me and I found to be quite off-putting. Their customer service was fantastic and even let me try the unscented version instead of the Eucalyptus, but I thought they both had this note of cleaning powder. I gave them four stars because the product is wonderful and their customer service is great. Clearly my nose is just stuck on one ingredient.
