Native earns praise for clean ingredients, standout scents (Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Citrus & Herbal Musk) and comfortable, non-irritating wear for many, but reviews say performance is inconsistent: the deodorant often fades by midday, struggles in heat/workouts, can leave white residue or shirt stains, and some experience rashes or gritty texture. Reviews of body wash and hair care skew positive for gentle lather and pleasant aromas, though a few find body wash drying and shampoos underwhelming. Overall, Native is a good natural option if you don’t sweat heavily and will reapply; heavy sweaters may need stronger protection.

I tried Native Deodorant and it’s okay, but not mind-blowing. It works well for a while, but I found myself needing to reapply during the day. The scents are nice, but it didn’t keep me as fresh as I’d hoped. Solid, but not my favorite.
I use and buy native products often. I like the ones that they sensitive on them. I recently tried their sunscreen and really liked it.
It is non-irritating and easy to glide in your arm pits. Its subtle scent is comforting, barely there. It struck me more like one of those new body deodorant product options rather than an antiperspirant. Maybe it's a great option for someone who is allergic to "regular" antiperspirants? If you sweat from being outside or exercising, this is NOT your pick.
I’ve switched to mainly native body wash and I love that I’m not putting harsh chemicals on mine or my family’s skin. Very grateful “clean beauty” is having its moment, thank you Native!

This is a hard review to write. If you are chronically smelly, this deoderant can be effective but you must must be diligent. Native works great on freshly washed skin, but not so much for midday touch ups. 🦨🦨🦨 If you have low body odor, this deoderant works great. The scents are long lasting and pleasant. Could be great if you enjoy being seasonal and festive (b/c of the holiday scents). More issues: For the plastic packaged deoderant, the actual stick can fall out and you have to push it back in and it sticks under your nails. Also, the deoderant dries out fairly quickly so use it or lose it.
I tried the shower gel in eucalyptus and mint. I love the mission of the brand and the scent was very pretty, but it didn't stand out to me as a body wash.
I really like the idea of the product: better alternatives to drugstore deodorant and other skincare, and using eco-friendly packaging.

It didn't work as well as some other deodorants, and the deodorant packaged in all cardboard broke pretty early on.

Love the mission and the plastic free package options. Smells are really good.

The deodorant does leave white clumps and not ideal for going sleeveless
Think this is an awesome brand, but I was one of the unlucky ones who couldn’t make the deodorant work. I got gnarly underarm rashes - super itchy. I DO love the body wash products, etc. super awesome scents. Still recco trying it!! Much love to Native.
Native makes the only natural deodorant that keeps me smelling fresh all day. Every scent I have smelled from them is nice but the scent I have been buying for years is sweet peach and nectar which smells just like peach iced tea in the applicator and then just leaves a long lasting clean fresh smell when applied.
Feedback
The only time I don’t use this deodorant is when wearing a white top or white bra because it causes yellow spots that I don’t experience when using any other brand.
It's a great price for a natural deodorant and works well but it leaves residue under my armpits that caused irritation and redness. The scents are wonderful.

A deodorant that isn't so chalky
Love the idea of natural deodorant but it's never worked for me. I thought Native might be the best entry point, but after trying it out for a few months, it didn't work for me. I love the natural scents and purpose, but it wasn't effective.

As someone who sweats a lot from the pits, this: 1) didn't help with controlling that and 2) didn't help with the bad smells. So, wasn't effective for me.
I have tried 4 natural deodorants and this is the only one that not only works, but doesn't give my armpits a rash.

Rosé ? Vanilla? Key Lime & Sugar? Do these scents actually sell? I use cotton & cedarwood, and would be for more earthy scents like this, as opposed to dessert smells.
Decent enough deodorant— I bought and used the Eucalyptus + Mint, and Cotton + Lily at distinct points. Both were in stick format, and came in fairly sturdy packaging - making them great for travel. While the scents were delicate and not too obtrusive - found the effectiveness limited in summer. Found myself having to deliberately re-apply during the day, which was disappointing given the price point. While I didn't mind trying out the two scents, I probably won't repurchase in favour of other, more effective brands.
Very good quality deodorant.
The deodorant does not work, and to make matters worse, it not only rubs off on clothing easily but is really hard to get off once it does.
Great
I bought the sea salt and cedar scent for my teenage son and when it arrived I loved the scent so I bought one for me. He likes the stick and I use the spray. It works great and I have tried a ton of healthy deodorants.
Native deodorants used to be essential-oil based and free from fragrance (that's undisclosed) but due to the management change over the last few years the ingredients in the coconut (and probably other scents) now have different ingredients. I think the scent smells the same but I like when brands have more transparency and don't include the term "fragrance" on the packaging in the ingredients. Native is my go-to brand but I have found others that have ingredients that also work well without the need for fragrance to be listed on the back.
Overrated brand
