  • We have tried the original Sichuan Chili Crisp, and most recently, the Zhong Sauce. The Zhong Sauce is amazing! For those of you who love the Chili Crisp, the Zhong sauce is a must-try! I usually will buy the Chili Crisp when I can find them on sale, as the price point is a little high. However, I recommend both of these products as they are very good!

  • I have been a fan of fly by jing since they started and thier offerings keep getting better and better. Excited to see what else they come up with.

  • High quality and delicious spicy chili oil, great on everything literally

  • Fly by Jing sauces definitely live up to the hype and high-ish price points. Their OG chili oil is still my favorite, but a lot of my non-Asian friends like the Zhong sauce best. Both are great - the Zhong sauce is sweeter. I've tried other chili oils that I've liked just as much or maybe a tiny bit more, but Fly by Jing's is really nicely balanced, spicy and with the perfect lightly crunch texture. And you can't beat the branding - my fridge looks brighter and happier with their jars on shelf.

  • It's fine. It's expensive for what it is -- you can get so many others for a fraction of the cost. The flavor is kind of there, but it isn't as flavorful as I had wanted. I was enticed by its beautiful packaging and honestly it would be something I would gift to someone to try once. I will not be purchasing again though and will stick to my usual chili crisps

  • This sauce is very versatile. I like it on eggs, chicken, rice and more. I think the flavor is deep but not too spicy. It is sold in many places so it’s easy to find. You can find a lot of good recipes online that use this chili oil and that’s helpful to think of how to incorporate it. Would recommend.

  • I consistently buy and gift Fly By Jing's products! From the presentation to the quality and taste, I can't get enough. We keep the Sichuan Chili Crisp fully stocked in our house!

  • Incredible chili oil, adds depth to any food. Ive purchased multiple times and has bought as gifts for friends.

  • I got the chili crisp and thought it was okay. I found myself using it on eggs, oddly enough. I also used it on ramen noodles from Ocean's Halo. I'm usually weary of things that have been hyped up, but decided to try it anyway. Again, it was good, but it's getting 3 stars because the price doesn't justify the quality. It's good, but not “$15 a pop” good.

  • Great design and good szechwan kick, and all around great sauce, but less flavorful than Lao Gan Ma.

  • I wanted to love this product but it came short for me. Despite the cool branding and the hype that has been sustaining it for some time, I found the product gooey and not particularly flavourful. Salty notes and mild umami were all I found after testing with several different types of meal. Lao Gan Ma may not have the dazzling, contemporary brand but it still packs massive flavours.

  • The four-star rating I've given to Fly by Jing is largely due to its strong branding. I was particularly impressed with the labeling, which thoughtfully includes various usage recommendations. Initially, I found the chili sauce a bit too hot for my taste when added to cooked foods. However, the label's unconventional suggestion to pair it with vanilla ice cream was a game-changer. The combination of cold and heat resulted in an unexpectedly delightful flavor experience.

  • Delicious - can't wait to try multiple other flavors! The flavor is 100% and isn't as spicy as it it looks.

  • Such a great flavor (all though it doesn’t taste like traditional chili oil) and can be added on to anything! If you like chili crisp/chili oil - try this stuff! A bit on the sweeter tasting side of chili oil. A lot more oil than crisps.

  • Great flavor and a good spice level. This goes well on top and in so many dishes, very versatile. The packaging is very unique and definitely stands out amongst other brands. Great website! The price is steep for the small jar. For similar tastes, I would buy other chili oils for a more affordable price at the Asian grocery store.

  • this was my first foray into chili oil and i. regret. nothing. i purchased the trio that came with the OG oil, the zhong sauce (i LOVE), and the mala spice. the oil was an easy addition to many meals. fried eggs? done. over rice? easy. in soups? yes. the zhong sauce was LOVELY. i lives the flavors the textures. went great on literally everything. and it was the first container to run out. the mala spice is a powder seasoning. i especially liked it when making a simple dip for my veggies. or when i was roasting veggies in the oven.

  • I’ve had better chili crisp oils but I’ve also had worse. Like a lot of people said, it really is mostly oil with only little crunch. This is good to cook with for that reason, rather than as a topping or side. Could use more spice but it gets the job done.
