Dyson impresses in reviews for delivering powerful, thoughtfully engineered vacuums and hair tools that reduce frizz, speed styling, and handle pet hair and fine dust with ease, yet the brand divides on longevity and practicality. While cordless models like V12/V15 and hair tools such as Airwrap and Airstrait win praise for performance, convenience, and design, critiques cite short battery life on “max,” heavy or fragile components, tricky emptying, inconsistent curls, and difficult repairs or parts sourcing.
AI summary based on Thingtesting reviews
Dyson products consistently impress with their innovative design and powerful performance. Whether it’s their vacuums, fans, or hair dryers, you can expect top-notch engineering that makes chores easier and more efficient. The suction on their vacuum cleaners is exceptional, easily picking up dirt and debris from various surfaces. I also appreciate the sleek aesthetics of their designs, which blend seamlessly into any home. While they may come with a higher price tag, the quality and durability make them worth the investment. Overall, Dyson truly delivers on its promise of cutting-edge technology and effective solutions for everyday tasks.
Worth it.

I would crumble without my Dyson vacuum. Can't be beat!
I've had my Dyson V12 (I think?) for a couple of years and my level of patience with it is waning. On first use, I vowed never to use another vacuum cleaner again, but as time has gone by, it just doesn't have the same affect. Very expensive for its longevity. Would try finding one secondhand next time.

I cannot live without my Dyson air wrap I’ve had for 5 years now. I love my new airstrait. I do not do my hair without these. My hair is perfect and healthy due to these products. There is no damage. My vacuum is also great.
I have had Dyson vacuums for over 20 years. Now I have a cordless vacuum and a heater/fan air purifier, they both work great and the quality is the best. I've had my vacuum since 2014, replaced the battery, and bought a new canister, but I feel it will last forever. My next splurge is going to be the air wrap. I also love that I can register my products on the website and order new parts or get tips on my specific models.
The vacuums are great, however we did have issues and had to replace a battery on one and an internal part on another.
In college I won a dyson vacuum and I will never ever go back to another brand! 8 years later and I’ve upgraded to the cordless one and it’s absolutely a cleaning staple. I live with dogs and I couldn’t imagine how dusty and dirty the floor would be without it. It’s so lightweight that it’s great for a quick spot cleanup and also easy to carry around the whole house when I’m cleaning the floors. The attachment allow me to use it to clean so many other things - my car, my mattress, the couch, etc. It picks up EVERYTHING and has a large capacity so I don’t have to stop to empty it during a long vac. It’s also incredibly easy to operate and change the attachments. I like the auto setting because it increases the suction power when it senses I’m vacuuming carpet which is so needed with pets! Lastly, they are so durable! It’s easy to.l clean/fix yourself if you have a minor issue like a clog. Dyson also always offers a 2 year warranty so if it breaks (which mine never has), you can have them fix it for free. I absolutely know it is a steep price, but I have never found a vacuum that works so well or lasts as long. I definitely feel that the price is worth it!

I have a dyson corded vacuum and I love it! I have had it forever and it works like new. I have been wanting to upgrade to a cordless, but I can't justify the cost as the one I have works great.
I have the Supersonic hair dryer, and I don't regret paying such a price (hope it would last for many years!) I blow dry or straighten my curly hair every morning, with Dyson it is way easier and faster. I also have an air purifier, and well, I think it works 😅 but at least it looks good in my interior. Taking one star off for the price.
I just got their hairdryer, and I am pleasantly surprised. I have curly hair and the diffuser made my hair look the best it has! My curls were very defined, and I got so many compliments. Took 1 star off for price. I waited until it was $100 off and it was still too expensive!

the airwrap is nice but im still tryna justify the price :-/ ?
Spoiler alert: this is a Dyson household. I've had the Dyson V8 vacuum for 2+ years now and have not looked back. I also have the Airwrap styler which was a bit more mixed for me. The curling attachments do not work on my hair (and my hairdresser has confirmed that they can be hit and miss depending on your hair structure) but I do use the other attachments every time I dry my hair. It is an everyday luxury and it does dry my hair faster than any other hair dryer I have ever used but I realistically could have gone for the Supersonic instead (or considered a cheaper brand altogether). Overall, still a recommendation if you want high-quality and innovative household and haircare products. The money-back guarantee has also worked with zero problems when friends of mine tested one of the purifiers and noticed it didn't serve their intended purpose.

High quality, innovative products across hair dryers, air purifiers, vacuums. I have used all these products and they have become a staple. Dyson is synonymous with power, efficiency, quality, and sleek design that is well thought out! You won't regret purchasing from them
THE BEST vacuum that I have owned is the Dyson Animal. It is perfect for vacuuming up pet hair without getting clogged! I’ve had this vacuum for several years & will definitely buy another once this one would go.
As a museum technician, these are some of the few vacuums we could use in our historic homes museums. Quick to charge, very lightweight, easy to empty, and with different suction settings I would absolutely recommend these if you do not want to drag around a corded vacuum. I've used these new, at the end of their life when just cleaning the filter wasn't going to cut it anymore, and new in packaging (refurbished). My only issue was when they arrived refurbished, six of them, it took me half an hour even with a box cutter to just open the packaging as instead of being taped, they were stapled. But that said, the refurbished ones worked just as well as the new, and were very efficient in picking up whatever surprises visitors had dropped on the ground that day.
The Dyson AirStrait works amazing! So easy to use and quick!
Pet vaccum is the best vaccum I’ve had. Picks up all my cats fur off the carpet. Yes pricey but worth the money. Easy to use. A tad heavy if you’re one the smaller size but with it for how efficient it is.
Recently bought the V15 Vacuum cleaner and I love it. It has an autonomy of 60 minutes and I can clean the all house within that time. It came with a variety of accessories but my favourite one is the brush with the green light. It shows you all the filth on the floor and it fulfills my ocd for clean floors.
I’ve tested the Dyson air wrap and I use it regularly. For me it’s a super product, but too expensive… this product is really useful because there’s a lot of options : you can curl your hair or straighten them, do a brushing, or just dry them… It gives a lot of volume and give cool results and don’t damage too much your hair But on my hair, the curls don’t last more than two hours without setting spray (but I have really straight hair) but I think it depends of your hair type …
