Dyson impresses in reviews for delivering powerful, thoughtfully engineered vacuums and hair tools that reduce frizz, speed styling, and handle pet hair and fine dust with ease, yet the brand divides on longevity and practicality. While cordless models like V12/V15 and hair tools such as Airwrap and Airstrait win praise for performance, convenience, and design, critiques cite short battery life on “max,” heavy or fragile components, tricky emptying, inconsistent curls, and difficult repairs or parts sourcing.

  • Prices can be steep, but it is a wonderful investment. Having a stick vacuum makes vacuuming fun. I've had mine for 3 years and its bulletproof.

  • The pet vacuum works like a charm. And the fact that the paddles don't have to have long hair cleaned off is a huge plus.

  • every dyson product i've ever used is better than the last. only con is that it's expensive!

  • I have the Dyson V8 Animal Stick Vacuum and it is truly a daily user in my house. With a Springer/Setter mix who is always rolling around in the grass, there is something to consistently vacuum up. I love how light weight and easy this vacuum is to just "grab and go". It makes vacuuming a breeze. The only downside or "con" is the battery on max only lasts roughly 15 mins and if you don't plug it in fully, you won't have a charged vacuum. Overall, this little bad boy will be in my house for years to come!

  • Purchased a Dyson Cordless Animal Vacuum and a Dyson Fan/Heater. The vacuum has been replaced once under warranty despite the Dyson agents attempts to continue to send Motorheads out that weren't fixing the problem - the vacuum takes a few hours to charge, and is able to vacuum for 7 minutes at a time. The fan/heater is loud and requires cleaning every couple of weeks. Both products seem sub-par at best and wouldn't purchase either again.

  • Own the hair dryer, straightener, and a vacuum. Haven't been unhappy with a Dyson product yet and my family had one of the first dyson upright vacuum models. High quality products with intelligent design.

  • Best vacuum on the market. Don't bother with a "dupe" as it won't be as good as the real product.

  • I’ve always been more of a shark fan, but our realtor gave us a a cordless Dyson vacuum as a housewarming gift, and I’ve been so happy with it! I have messy kids and a dog and it’s so easy to just get out and quickly clean things as you go. It’s also been so nice to clean under our beds and under couches. I love this vacuum and highly recommend it!

  • Have their blow dryer and the corrale (curler and straightener in one). I have thick coarse hair and these tame it like no other. Have tried cheaper brands, also premium brands that cost $200 and nothing is like the dyson. Love the dyson blowdryer because of the innovative shape. My arm and wrist no longer get tired when doing a blowout and also I am no longer worried about my hair getting sucked into the blowdryer. Girls with long hair- you know what I mean.

  • Let me share my thoughts on Dyson, a company known for its range of cord-free vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, hair dryers, and hand dryers. While their products may have a futuristic appeal, I must admit that affordability is not their strong suit. Unfortunately, I found that the Dyson products I've tried were not long-lasting, especially when compared to my reliable Miele vacuum that has served me well for seven years. The fancy aesthetics and outrageous price point may be enticing, but in my experience, they seem to mask a lack of durability and value.

  • I’ve had a Dyson vacuum for 3 years and love it. Went with a standing vaccum and it’s very easy to clean out, does what it needs to, and has easy maintenance. Their snot cannon visor, gives me pause on branching outside of their vaccum line.

  • Extremely wonderful high quality products, honestly.

maybe the hand dryers could be more of a vertical blow rather than air flow that spreads out on the sides (avoiding horizontal air flow) so that the water falls directly straight onto the floor.

  • I have a Dyson air wrap and I love it! It makes styling my hair super easy and also save space in my dorm.

I would love to see some more attachments!

  • I Have the air purifier and it works very well if you have the rooms with a low ceiling. I have most of the rooms with very high ceiling since I suffer from pollen allergy it's a little bit difficult to purify faster

  • Dyson is really expensive but it is a purchase to invest in. I would recommend getting one. My Dyson cleans the floor really well and I am able to see the dust using the green light. The Dyson also works extremely well on carpets.

  • I’ve owned two Dyson now absolutely loved them both! Great suction and cool designs!

  • I own a Dyson v10 vacuum cleaner, and one of the air purifier fans. I'll start with the air purifier. I have pretty bad allergies, so have tested a lot of air purifiers over the years! The Dyson one is fantastic as a purifier, but to be honest the fan leaves a lot to be desired. I have one of the earlier models, so if you're in the market it's worth considering whether you're in it for the fan or the purifier. If you're in it for the fan alone, it's not good value. The customer care with Dyson was fantastic. My first purifier had a fault, and they arranged a collection and a new model to be sent with no questions asked. My only quibble now with it is that it has a consistent small whirring noise, even if off, but once again, this has probably been solved with the later models. Now for the vacuum cleaner. Honestly, it is life changing. After doing *all* of the research, I plumped for a v10 last year. It demolishes dust, and it's frankly terrifying to see how much comes out of a carpet that I hoovered just a couple of days beforehand. Being cordless means that I'm using it far more, and I actually weirdly enjoy hoovering now. Maybe it's Dyson, maybe it's middle age. Either way I'm here for it.

If you're looking at the fans, think about aesthetics vs functionality and what matters to you. It's one of the most beautiful fans on the market, but not necessarily one of the most effective for the price, so there's a definite trade off there. For the vacuum cleaners, I very rarely say this about an expensive product, but I've got zero regrets. They still stock some of the older models, so it's worth thinking about how many bells and whistles you need.

  • Perfect for cleaning the car and for our pet hair. I will say that it was more powerful that I expected. I do feel like it was money well spent!

  • I absolutely love the dyson, have several or have had several of them over the years. Really like the small portable one because you can take it anywhere, kind of expensive but definitely worth the money

  • works well enough, but repair if something breaks is nearly impossible. the expectation is likely that you just buy another. It's very expensive for what it does and after my dyson ball broke, i bought a bissel and it picked up so much that the dyson missed from my carpet.
