Cards Against Humanity

4.5

Cards Against Humanity wins big in reviews for delivering uproarious, easy-to-learn party play that sparks belly laughs, quick bonding, and late-night chaos—especially with larger groups and expansion packs—so yes, it works. Reviews also flag clear drawbacks: humor can be crass/NSFW and alienating for sensitive or mixed-age crowds, cards lose shock value with repetition, and some prompts feel dated or hard to play with certain audiences.

This is a classic game that I began playing around high school. They make new versions every now and then and sell smaller category packs which is fun, just not necessarily where I spend my money. They definitely have more competitors in the space now than they used to, but I do still believe this is a game to always have on-hand at a party.
Love them!
This is a super innovative idea, but for every once in a while. If you do it too much, you kind of get tired of the cards you have, so you need to get the expansion packs.

family time best for these cards.

Love this game. It's all about the people you play with, which is the perfect group setting game! If you find your friends funny, you'll find this game fun - point blank. If your friends aren't funny, then I guess you'll learn that quickly, too. There's not much roon for failure here, just an all around good time.
A fun and provocative game to play with a group of friends. You can combine multiple decks of cards to introduce variety, as a single pack can quickly get overused and seem unoriginal if you play fairly often. This is probably not the right game for a group with individuals who are easily offended.

This game is a household name now, but for good reason — it's actually really fun. It's just the right amount of scandalous and cheeky to keep things interesting without getting offensive. I think it's a must-have game for everyone's home entertainment stash.
Always fun!
In my opinion, this will always be the best game to pull out at a party or any event with your friends

This game is too much fun. It’s a little dated now but still holds truth on game nights! I highly recommend playing this with a glass of wine or a cocktail in hand, so much fun! Great stocking stuffer, the season is also almost upon us.

Such a fun & innovative game! This always has everyone rolling on the floor!
You’re lying if you say some of your best memories with friends hasn’t been playing this game. Such a staple for game night!
This game is only as good as the people you play it with. I played this a lot in college. I have played CAH with close friends (yay!) and strangers (hit or miss). My friends and I even made our own custom deck with inside jokes once. Which is to say - if you have dark, twisted, odd, silly, or obscene humor, you might really enjoy this game! Play this with people you know well, so you can target their sense of humor. Play late at night when everything is funny. Keep expectations low...
Hilarious and fun with all types of friends/groups! Cards Against Humanity never fails to make me laugh when I play with friends. No matter how many years it’s been, they come up with hilarious and insane cards that keep the game fun forever. Some of my funniest memories playing card games with friends come from this game lol.
A really solid game, but I think the downside is that it lacks in subtlety—I personally like playing these kinds of games with more ambiguous prompts/answers, so that there's room for people's interpretations and cleverness to shine. With CAH, almost every card /could/ work for every prompt in some way, so there's just not a lot of nuance there.
It's really fun the first couple of times of playing, but then you must buy the expansion packs to "keep the spark alive". Otherwise, you pretty much already know what's coming which takes the fun out of it.
