  • Iconic, cooling beeswax lip balms
  • Gentle, effective baby skincare line
  • Soothing, aromatic peppermint foot lotion
  • Natural-leaning, clean ingredient ethos
  • Thin, short-lasting lip hydration
  • Flavored balms’ inconsistent, weaker formula
  • Overly intense peppermint sensation
  • Ineffective, underwhelming pet shampoo

Burt’s Bees earns mixed reviews: the iconic Beeswax lip balm and classic mint variants feel smooth, smell great, and often soothe chapped lips, while several users report thin, short‑lasting hydration that requires frequent reapplication and, in rare cases, increased dryness. Reviews also praise gentle baby care, cuticle cream, acne products, and Peppermint Foot Lotion, but note underwhelming men’s care, dog shampoo ineffectiveness, strong peppermint intensity for some, and one severe complaint about toothpaste causing black staining.

  • The smell of the lotion was good, it had a more natural rather than fragrant smell. The moisturizing and absorbency wasn’t towards my liking. It leaves a white residue for more than 10 minutes after applying. My skin doesn’t feel as moisturized as other brands when I put it on.

  • They’re like your familiar pair of gym shorts, but do you LOVE them? Probably not. The products imo give “sustainable” skincare products bad rep. I’ve never bought any product from them that made me go THIS IS MY NEW HOLYGRAIL.

  • I have used their chapstick before. It is a solid drugstore option! Nothing remarkable about it but is decently priced and very effective!

  • Burt's Bees makes a nice-smelling, creamy lip balm but it, unfortunately, doesn't last very long. I still buy it occasionally if I see my favorite one: the pink grapefruit.

  • I think Burt’s Bees is a good product for ‘in-between’ moisturizing or just to casually have available on hand - I’ve never found their chapsticks to make a difference in actually fully moisturizing my lips

  • I have the lip balms and they work fine. Some scents are stronger than others. The tinted lip gloss (I have watermelon) smells so strong in a good way and everyone compliments me on it!

  • I really like the variety of products they sell, as well as all the different scents. My only issue is that you have to reapply some of the products more often than I would like.

  • I am Burt's Bees lip balm loyalist. It's affordable, available pretty much everywhere, and DANG it works well. I live in Boston which is a very cold/dry climate during the winters. Their original lip balm can be found in all of my bags, coat pockets, car, etc. Even have one at my desk and on my nightstand. Husband is a loyalist, too. That being said, I only buy the OG beesbax lip balm. Here's why: - Tinted lip balms don't actually tint your lips. They get everywhere - all over your face, stuff you drink out of, etc. - Their "scented" options (vanilla, cucumber, coconut & pear) are definitely MUCH different formulas. They wipe off super fast, are not even close to as hydrating, and in my opinion, are basically useless. They're only nice as like...quasi-aromatherapy, simply because your lips are close to your nose, LOL.

  • Burt’s Bees was my introduction to higher quality lip balms. I have tried some other the men’s personal care products. Nothing stands out there.

  • Burt’s Bees products are great! They’re natural, effective, and feel gentle on the skin. From lip balms to lotions, everything is high quality and leaves my skin feeling nourished. I love the brand’s commitment to using natural ingredients and being eco-friendly. Definitely a staple in my routine!

  • Burt’s bees chapstick made my lips more chapped. Will never use their chapstick again.

  • I think we have all used this in our lives, I used to rely on this as a kid with anxiety and chapped lips, but now I realize it really does nothing, it is not exciting and it barely hydrates or helps your lips.

  • I refuse to use any other lip balm, their original minty lip balm is the best! I’m not a fan of the rest of their products. I would recommend the lip balm but probably nothing else.

  • I live and die by the beeswax lip balm, and appreciate that the company makes a recycled-paper tube version.

  • I purchased a variety pack of lip balms and I honestly don't think they are very hydrating, but they smell really good.

  • Don’t get me wrong, when you put the lip balm on, it feels great, and like everybody else I enjoy the mint. But on a really cold day, if my lips are particularly chapped, this just doesn’t last very long.
