Reviews mention

  • Iconic, cooling beeswax lip balms
  • Gentle, effective baby skincare line
  • Soothing, aromatic peppermint foot lotion
  • Natural-leaning, clean ingredient ethos
  • Thin, short-lasting lip hydration
  • Flavored balms’ inconsistent, weaker formula
  • Overly intense peppermint sensation
  • Ineffective, underwhelming pet shampoo

Burt’s Bees earns mixed reviews: the iconic Beeswax lip balm and classic mint variants feel smooth, smell great, and often soothe chapped lips, while several users report thin, short‑lasting hydration that requires frequent reapplication and, in rare cases, increased dryness. Reviews also praise gentle baby care, cuticle cream, acne products, and Peppermint Foot Lotion, but note underwhelming men’s care, dog shampoo ineffectiveness, strong peppermint intensity for some, and one severe complaint about toothpaste causing black staining.

  • Burt’s bees is goated. They have some of the best products I’ve tried so many and I recommend them all. I’ve had no bad experiences. I love their acne products, their face washes, their cuticle creams. Love them all. ESPECIALLY their iconic beeswax lip balm!!! Especially if you like a more natural lip rather than a glossy lip

  • I am not a lipstick wearer. But I enjoy a little bit of color on my lips. This is perfect because it's not too heavy, but gives a great color, and it's moisturizing as well. I have been a fan for years and recently ordered a four pack on Amazon so I wouldn't run out!

  • BEWARE, this toothpaste will turn your teeth black. See my profile pic and see what it did to my teeth. I have purchased 3 different OTC teeth whitening products but none of them removed the black stains. My dentist told me the only way to remove it was with a professional teeth whitening which would cost $300.00. I contacted Burts Bees but they refused to pay for it. I will never ever buy any product of theirs after seeing how they treat their customers. This product should be banned!

  • Mixed feelings about this brand. When it first came out a billion years ago, the marketing was all about being a hippie company with natural green products. Given that its owned by Clorox now and made in China its hard to reconcile those two ideas. Some of their products are awesome (love the coconut foot cream!) some have potential irritants (such as menthol in some of the lip balms). Overall I feel like its a decent drug store brand, but farmers market green products they are not!

  • I’ve been using Burt’s Bees products for a while now, and overall, I’m really happy with them! I especially love their lip balms — they’re super hydrating, smell great, and keep my lips soft without feeling greasy. I also appreciate that the brand uses mostly natural ingredients and eco-friendly packaging. Some of the other skincare items I’ve tried were nice but not necessarily standouts for my skin type, which is why I’m giving them 4 out of 5 stars. Still, their lip balms are a staple in my bag and totally worth it!

  • My boyfriend uses Burt’s bees and I’ve swiped it a few times. I enjoy the vanilla flavor and how smooth it feels. It isn’t exactly hydrating though and there is a need to keep reapplying over and over.

  • This is a pretty good brand overall for lip balm. They make a variety of flavors that are made with high quality ingredients. My lips always feel soft after using Burt's Bees. I always have one laying around whenever I need it

  • I've been using their products since high school and have learnt that it's mediocre to great. It's really about finding the right product for you, but for me that's the gentle cream cleanser and spf. I really love that they are still available year after year. A classic that works and I can repurchase for the long term.

  • The best chapstick ever! I am always reaching for burts bees if I have chapped lips, it is unlike any other and actually works compared to other brands that promise a lot and do not deliver! Burts bees always delivers!

  • I love Burt's Bees. They have the best beeswax lip balms that smell great and moisturize my lips. I also love the tinted ones. They have a good color payoff while being moisiturizing and helping chapped lips.

  • It’s a classic for a reason. It moisturizes lips gently with a thin layer that feels comfortable, but I do find myself reapplying frequently throughout the day. Not the longest-lasting balm, but perfect for a clean, easy option on the go.

  • In five words : it's a basic lip balm. It gets the job done well with moisturizing the lips, and is great for on the go. I like the different variety in flavors and tints. However, I personally use this lip balm during the summer or before I go to sleep because I don't think it's thick enough for me during cold, windy winters. For the price it's a pretty solid lip balm.

  • I have been a fan and consumer of Burt's Bees for several years. I love the natural aspect of their products along with the variety. The cuticle cream has been a huge help, especially in the winter when my skin gets chapped. It also has lasted a long time, making the price worth it, although I believe it may have originally come in a fun variety pack as a gift for Christmas from my friend. I mention that because it works well as a gift due to the excellent quality and variety of items.

  • I love the chapstick made by Burt's Bees. It works really well and I love that it is all natural. However, I am. not as impressed with thier dog shampoos. I purchased it because it looked like a good natural shampoo to use on my dog however I found it to be rather ineffective. The shampoo did not really get her clean and I felt like I was constantly having to give her a bath.

  • Highly recommend Burt’s Bees Peppermint foot lotion. This is great stuff. Awesome for your heels and for helping relieve some soreness and pain in your foot. Relaxing. I like putting this on before bed and it smells super nice too! I like to put it on during hot summer days if I am wearing a sock and it helps with keeping my feet cool

  • Burt’s Bees is my go-to for natural skincare. Their lip balms are unbeatable—smooth, hydrating, and long-lasting. I also love their face cleansers and lotions, which are gentle and effective without harsh chemicals.

  • Over the years I have used & loved products from BURTS BEES. I love all the lip balms, I rebuy most of the flavors, especially the vanilla. I am not a fan of the pear lip balm. I love the lip balms that have color, I have a really beautiful one in a dark red/burgundy. I love the little metal tins of cuticle balm. I love all the makeup products I have tried, especially the small 3 color eye shadow palettes. I love gifting masks, balms and cuticle creams to my friends & family.

  • When I first used this, the peppermint was so strong that I almost threw them away. I like candy canes, but the taste of thiese were overbearing. I tried it again knowing it was going to be strong and it wasn't as bad. I'm glad I stuck with them. I feel like these helped my lips. I had a cracked lip and it healed quicker using this lip balm. I like that it coats my lips. It stays on for awhile too. I have tried many lip balms for my constant dry chapped lips, waking the next morning with the same chapped lips. I wake up in the morning after using this and my lips actually feel refreshed.

  • These lip balms are always a go-to for me, they are just a nice and classic twist up lip balm, in a range of flavours/scents, made with all good stuff. I use the pomegranate one and it gives me a bit of a red lip tint. Coconut is another favourite of mine. They last ages, and are very moisturising.

  • Burt's Bees is one of my favorites for lip balm. The lip balms are amazingly good in simplicity -- moisturizes well, tastes good, and no worry about odd ingredients. The face masks are also good, which I also stock up during store sales.
