I've seen their rainbow towels for a while on instagram/pinterest and have always loved the look of them. Finally purchased some (two of the body towels, two of the hand towels) in the darker color way and am not impressed. the body towels shed SO badly I had to get another towel to rub off the fabric pills. Truly a gross feeling getting out of the shower, drying yourself off, and then feeling little pieces of lint allllllllllll over your body and not feeling clean. Idk. Maybe it takes several washes for them to not shed but i'm not having a good time over here
I’m a long-time fan of Bathing Culture, having used their soap and natural sponges for a few years now. This year I finally pulled the trigger and bought their full gallon kit. That’s how obsessed I am. The scent is divine, the founders are super nice, and custoemr service is great (I got order help thru DMs on IG). After the natural sponge fully disintegrated, I made the mistake of ordering one from Public Goods and it was not of the same quality as Bathing Cultures.

I can’t remember if it was free or what but I was sent an aluminum travel sized container to fill, it’s cute, light weight, and I use it a ton! All the brand packaging makes me happy.

I love the brands mission and the fact that they come in refillable glass containers is awesome. I had purchased the body wash and it was ok but not something I loved. That also goes for the scent. The packaging and pump is great so it might be something I purchase again to keep in my guest bathroom.
This is just simply not a good body wash. My skin feels SQUEAKY squeaky clean after using it... AKA super stripping to the skin. It smells alright... if you like the smell of jumbled & overpowered essential oils, but it basically feels like using dish soap on your body.

Some moisturizing/hydrating ingredients to not make the skin feel so squeaky!

I loved the bottle and I loved the scent. The brand is amazing. The actual soap? Not my favorite as It's so drying. If you are someone looking for something that will absolutely strip your skin clean, this is the one.
It smells great but it’s incredibly drying. I’m not sure who the audience is.
I purchased quite a few bathing culture products as gifts for my sister and I was lucky enough to get to try the mind and body wash when she came to visit me. It smelled incredible and left my skin soft. The packaging is also very funky and fun.
I can't wait to try their other products, but from the one product I had an introduction with (their rose face mist), I was absolutely in love with and happy I had purchased - definitely used it regularly throughout the day and it was the perfect item I needed during the dry summer months for a little wake me up.
Bathing Culture products are silky and smell wonderful.

No complaints.
I was super psyched to come across Bathing Culture's body wash at a local store and *had* to have it (mostly because of the packaging). I love the design and the heavy glass packaging, but the scent is not my fav. It was definitely a splurge when it comes to what I typically spend on body wash and don't feel like it's any different than the soaps I purchase from Target. Would I buy it again? Probably not. But the packaging is A+ and I'm a huge sucker for that.

This is a review of their dry brush - it's super wonderful and fits really well in your hand. I gifted one to my mother as well for the holidays.
I loved quite a bit of the brand and would recommend it to those who don't have sensitive skin or already dry very skin. The possibility of going to a refill station sounded like an interesting possibility to look forward to as the brand expands, and I'm all for products that claim to be concentrated. When I used the body wash it stripped my skin and left it painfully dry. If you're someone who comes to their shower covered in sweat and grime, or you have extremely oily skin, it might work extremely well. I was already struggling with dry skin, so it could be a fault of mine rather than an issue with the product. The smell could be enjoyed by some, though definitely not something I could stand enough to continue using. The packaging was refreshingly different, though!

My only real complaints is that I'd like it if the body wash were more moisturizing and the pop-off-top on the 8oz bottles were a screw cap. Mine broke after a few uses.
This is my favorite bathing brand, I buy the gallon on the body wash. They all smell heavenly and I was so stoked that they rolled out a bar. Really great products except . . .

I love how these bathing objects look, but the brushes both facial and body dont hold up. I really dig the sponges and its cool because you are supposed to replace those anyway but I was kinda dissapoitned with the brushes immediately losing bristles after just a couple showers (i do not scrub hard). Its a mixed bag though because I also have the nails brush and that is one of my favorite objects I have purchased in a while and has outlasted all of their other products. So here is my advice, buy the soaps, and sponges, i dig the oils, but stay away from the face and body brush, grab the hand brush though.
I would swim in a vat of their products if I could. The fragrances they use are earthy, bright tree scents that don’t overwhelm. I love their playful supplementary shop items, like pumice stones and sponges. Super cute design aesthetic that recalls a fun, 70’s California vibe. Groovy!

I'll admit I first bought the Mind & Body Wash because I wanted a cool looking bottle in my shower, but using it the last couple of months I've been pleasantly surprised. I am a Dr. Bronner's sort of gal when it comes to soap, and it's usually tough to venture far from that, but the woods-y scent and concentrated formula of Bathing Culture absolutely does the trick. I love that it's gender neutral, too.
The smell alone gives it 5 stars. I know it’s hard to buy something online without smelling it, but this is the most luxurious, spa-like scent that I feel most people would like. I also like the package design and that they offer refills in glass bottles. Also, my local zero waste store has it in bulk, which is SO cool to me. Way to go, Bathing Culture.

Maybe replace the smallest bottles with less plastic, but I believe they’re already using recycled plastic or something eco friendly so I think they’re doing a pretty good job here.
I purchased their classic body wash. Overall, a beautiful experience. Not only does the bottle and design look pretty sitting on my shower ledge, but the scent is really transporting - feels like I'm in the redwoods. I also have really dry and sensitive skin, and this gel does the trick without any issues. Lathers really nicely (I hate when soap doesn't lather) and also rinses easily.
Just ok, however I definitely prefer Dr. Bronner's body wash products.

Over the past year, I've tried to be more conscious of buying earth-friendly products. Bathing Culture's Mind and Body Wash popped out to me for having a squeaky clean ingredients list, and the hiiiip retro packaging made the purchase a no-brainer. The body wash applies well, has a nice texture and a soothing woodsy smell to match. If you're not into earthy scents, this may not be a match for you. But if you're into redwoods and moss and the PNW, look no further.

My skin is on the dryer side, and I felt like this wasn't exactly *as* moisturizing as I wanted it to be. The scent is great for everyday, but if I was heading out on the town, I'd opt for something a little more sweet.
The only shower gel/soap I FW! I make a point to fill my mini bottle for travel. The scent is heavenly. Still in a trance from their installations at West Coast Craft in SF a few years back. I haven’t purchased from BC directly, instead I have been able to find them at refillery spots which is amazing! Good on them for being available in bulk at zero waste shops.
