Banza earns strong reviews for delivering chickpea-based pasta, pizza, and mac & cheese that often taste close to traditional versions while adding substantial protein and fiber. Reviews praise the consistently tasty pasta (rotini, cavatappi, shells), kid-approval, and standout frozen pizzas, but note weaknesses: noodles can overcook into mush, stick, or break; some shapes feel dense or grainy with a bitter/bean aftertaste; spaghetti/long cuts underperform; and texture declines as leftovers. Ideal for gluten-free or higher-protein swaps, provided cooking is precise.

Great pasta for everyone! One of our go tos in our holistic household!
Not for me! Good for those with an intolerance, but otherwise not worth it.
Banza's pizza is an excellent choice for gluten-free individuals. The crust is nice and crispy, similar to a glutinous thin crust pizza! I have also had good experience with Banza's pasta noodles; in addition to being a gluten free, higher protein option, the texture is much better than other gluten free pastas that I have tried. Although not exactly analogous to glutinous pasta, the texture is much closer than other bean/lentil pastas that I've tried.
Very tasty product 😃

When my family needs a little clean protein masked as bolognese or a creamy ziti bake these are perfect. They have no idea it’s made from chickpeas. My Dad who grew up in Italy loves them too. Their pizzas are great too, for a guilt free treat on the weekend.

love this pasta for when I'm on a gluten free diet. tastes great and its supper filling.
Really great protein pasta. The best of this kind of product as it is not taste like cardboard.
This is pretty good for pasta made from chickpeas. If I didn't know it was made with it, I probably wouldn't notice too much.
I don't like this. It tastes like cardboard.
I've tried banza pasta multiple times and I want to love it but every time I've made it, it is very mushy and therefore the texture throws me off. I did see a TikTok saying to rinse it with cold water when you're done cooking it to stop the cooking process and want to try that.
This is pretty good pasta for being made of chickpeas! It's definitely a little bit grainy but I think you have to expect that. Personally, I liked the Whole Foods private label version better.

I really like the flora or of these pasta, it’s very similar to one I would regularly buy but with added protein!
This brand was amazing, I don’t have a gluten allergy but I do have hypertension and so I try and watch the simple carbs that I consume. This is a great pasta alternative to use in salads or with sauce or however you typically like your pasta. I feel full for a lot longer because it’s made with fiber, rich chickpeas, instead of flour.
The Banza products are very tasty. I need the protein as I do not eat meat. The Banza pasta has a good texture and flavor. I , highly, recommend it for anyone who is looking for a unique and healthy protein source.
I tried Banza’s 4-pack of plant-based cheese pizzas through Thingdrop, and the pizzas are delicious! From the crust (made of chickpeas) being delectable to the plant-based cheese being on point, I didn’t feel like I was sacrificing anything in terms of flavor. The cost is higher than typical frozen pizza, but I would repurchase as treat for myself. Banza’s customer service is also really helpful. The first 4-pack of pizza they sent me was unable to be delivered by the carrier, but when I reached out, Banza kindly overnighted me a replacement, no questions asked. They really want to serve their customers well.

Like many other people who participated in the Thingdrop, my pizzas also got delivered no longer frozen. I emailed customer service and they got back to me pretty quick and offered to send replacements or send coupons so I could purchase from my local grocery store. I ended up selecting the replacements and they overnight shipped them! I just tried to veggie one the other day, and honestly I really liked it and I’m excited to try the others! My sister is vegan so I’ve also tried their vegan mac n cheese, which is good but not for me. And we’ve also had their chickpea pasta options in the past which as also pretty good and I’m not even gluten free either!

The pasta is really tasty! It was a delightful surprise. I followed the instructions and cooked the pasta for approximately 9 minutes, then rinsed it after cooking. The texture is just like regular pasta, and I appreciate how the protein content leaves me feeling much more satisfied compared to standard pasta.
