Banza earns strong reviews as a high‑protein, gluten‑free swap that often tastes and chews close to traditional pasta and even delivers standout frozen pizzas, while many note it can overcook quickly, turn mushy or sticky, and some cuts feel fragile. Reviews of Banza praise the satisfying, protein‑dense pasta, kid‑friendly appeal, and tasty mac & cheese (notably White Cheddar), but flag inconsistent texture across shapes, occasional bitter/chickpea aftertaste, and spaghetti/linguine that clump or stay too firm.

The taste and feel really isn’t that noticeably different from average grocery store pasta, and just as filling.
Love the taste and I love that I am getting my protein from it
I love pasta, but I know that I shouldn't eat it much as it is not a healthy option. However, Banza helps me achieve both my fitness goals without sacrifice to one of my favorite foods! I love eating this for a protein packed dinner without the guilt.
CHICKPEA PASTA IS MY ONE TRUE LOVE! it cooks so well and rivals it's more gluten-y counterpart (as a gluten enjoyer and mini Italian i STILL reach for Banza pasta when given the choice) xo, Banza's biggest fan
I really like and recommend Banza. I saw someone else say its not going to be the same as wheat pasta which is true. Depending on the sauce though, I barely notice any flavor difference. Texture is slightly different but doesn't bother me at all. It's tougher to reheat which is the only reason I give it 4/5 but I understand it might just be that way. I love that you can get it so many places now!

Love this product, price is a bit higher but helpful to feel healthier and I think the taste is not materially different. Would usually choose banza over regular pasta for simple familiar ingredients, basically unless I’m doing a new recipe or cooking pasta for guests.
In my opinion, it's just okay. I think that there's better gluten-free pastas out there in the same price range. Banza does not keep well (it doesn't claim to, though) and lumps together as soon as it cools down and doesn't reheat well.

I like the concept behind Banza as well as the packaging, but not a huge fan of the product itself. I've only tried their pizza, and while the toppings were actually quite good, the crust felt pretty dense and chewy.
Really can’t tell any difference from wheat crust, but so much healthier (and my mom likes that they’re low in WW points). I just wish they had more options—but that’s why there’s make your own I guess.

I LOVE Banza’s Mac and cheese, so when I could try their pizza for a discount with thingdrop I jumped on the opportunity. I eat a high protein diet so using banza products is an easy swap for a higher protein meal. Their Mac and cheese is great, not as good as other brands but good enough for it to be worth picking for its added protein. I may be extra critical because I am from New Jersey, but I really didn’t love the pizza. I got the four cheese. I think I would buy it on sale but not full price. I am going to try and put my own toppings on the next one I make and hoping it tastes better that way. Customer service was strange. For the thingdrop it was supposed to be a delivery of 4 pizzas. Before it arrived I received an email stating there was an issue and only one pizza was sent to me. They said they would be sending out a replacement order on them for another 4 pizzas. The second shipment arrived and it was 3 pizzas. I paid for 4 pizzas and received 4 pizzas but I don’t really understand why they promised they would send us 5 total and then not do that lol I highly recommend the shells with cheddar Mac and cheese and do not recommend the four cheese pizza. I also recommend buying banza at the grocery store instead of directly from them. There are usually coupons on Ibotta for banza.

Huge fan of the Banza brand. I recently tried the plant-based pizza. There aren’t many gluten-free and vegan premade pizzas available, so I was excited to see Banza came out with one. They use Follow your Heart mozzarella and it’s not too bad. It had too much cheese for me, but it’s easy enough to take some off before you throw it in the oven. I throw my own veggies on it, and the crust is seasoned to perfection I’ll definitely have it again.

I’m very wary of half of the 5 stars reviews on here. First of all, you can’t follow the instructions on the package because it’ll ruin the pasta. Second, this was just not edible at ALL. Third, why did this test for high levels of pesticides?????,,
Healthy but still chalky, good GF alternative if needed
I have been buying Banza products for 5 years now! I love the newer pasta shapes that have come out recently and the rice. It is great for making a summery "orzo" salad
I really like that Banza paved the way for gluten free pasta alternatives. While I can't say that chickpea anything has the same taste as regular pasta or gluten-full products, it definitely helps to create alternatives when you host people with dietary restrictions. I think if you're trying to be healthier, it's also a nice alternative to the usual pizza crust or pasta dish and is a good source of protein. You should keep in mind that the products are also quite processed.
Love the branding, the macros, packaging, etc! I wish they would sell it in Colombia.
I've been a fan of Banza chickpea pastas for a few years, but recently tried their pizza and was blown away. Best GF crust in terms of flavor and texture. A+. Banza strikes again!!!

I don't think Banza pasta tastes entirely like pasta while plain, but once you start adding sauce and spices, it's a pretty solid replica and I really enjoy it for what it is. Definitely prefer the pasta to the pizza.
I love Banza, especially their pastas. They cook a little differently than normal pasta (lots of foam), but the taste and texture is great.
Have only tried the pasta, but I am a big fan! It has to be cooked perfectly, however, and it does not keep well as leftovers- gets a bit gummy. The pizza is at the top of my list to try next.
