Reviews mention

  • Exceptionally comfortable cushioning
  • Lightweight, travel-friendly construction
  • Machine-washable, easy maintenance
  • Sustainable, minimalist aesthetic
  • Limited arch support comfort
  • Faster-wearing outsole tread
  • Wool uppers stain easily
  • Toe-box fabric thins

Allbirds earns strong reviews for exceptional comfort, light weight, and machine-washable ease, making Tree Runners, Wool Runners, and loungers reliable everyday and travel shoes; however, many note limited support for long walks/runs, faster tread wear and toe holes, wool styles running warm and staining easily, narrow sizing without half sizes, and a polarizing, sometimes “dated” look. Overall, the brand is good for casual wear and sustainability-minded buyers, but not ideal for heavy-duty performance or those needing robust arch support and long-term durability.

  • I have a two pairs; one set of Wool Runner-up mizzles which are nice and warm and look great (I kinda wish I'd bought a size up, but that's not Allbirds' fault) and one pair of Tree Pipers. The Tree Pipers look good, but even after an entire season of wearing them, the little rubber tab on the back of the heel is still uncomfortable and rubs my leg if I'm not wearing long enough socks. Other than that, super happy.

  • Shortly after Allbirds were on the marketplace, I jumped on the band wagon and purchased two different pairs for an upcoming trip to Europe. I have worn my Allbirds on and off for the past 3 years. They are comfortable, easy to clean and appropriate for casual and casual work wear. Their attraction has not continued. I no longer wear one of the pairs, and wear the other infrequently. While prices have dropped, I have not. ben motivated to purchase another pair.

  • I actually got my Allbirds second hand (found them for $7 at Goodwill, what a score!) so I think I can offer a perspective on the quality. The ones I found are white, so as you can imagine, they were pretty dirty. I ended up doing the stripping method to deep clean them and they held up well! That method involves soaking them for a long time in a lot of detergent and then running them through the washer so I think that speaks to the quality of the materials. They came out clean and they're so comfy. I don't think I'd use them for exercise but they're really comfortable for my hot girl walks and look so cute with casual outfits. I don't think they'd offer enough support for anything strenuous though.

  • I had these in taupe for a few years, they were super comfy for walking around and I liked to wear them with skirts. They're great for folks with wide feet- my old boss used to have a hole in one of his Allbirds and he said it was so his bunion could breathe, lol.

  • I was an early adopter and got the Wool Runners. They were my go-to travel shoe, but my only complaint was that the wool started to fray a bit, and it made my feet sweat a lot. After that, they came out with the Tree Runner and Tree Breezers, def made my feet less sweaty, but the flyknit part of it felt a bit too snug on my toes. I love the brand's mission but after a few years, I grew a bit tired of the style. I also wish they had options with more cushion for orthopedic issues.

  • I want to like these, but I feel like they don't fit my feet well. The backs of my shoes rub my feet even while I am wearing longer socks.

  • Super comfortable shoe! Really does feel like walking on a cushion. Be cautious with sizing - I think I went a touch too small (even though I picked my regular size), and you can see that my toes are pushing on the shoe material and sticking over the edge of the sole a bit. Still love them, though!

  • Comfortable and come in a range of colors - very soft feel on the inside. They don’t offer much too foot support because of the material. Love the sustainability

I’d be interested in seeing a thinner sole and Maybe reinforced toes due to material wearing near the big toe area

  • Very very comfy sneakers. I have the wool runners and they are consistently comfy and cozy.

  • Super comfortable. Run a bit small so size up if your on the fence. They do become a bit grimy over time - have had mine a few years and need to get a new pair.

  • These are my favorite sneakers of all time - I have three pairs! Allbirds are truly the most comfortable shoes I've ever had and their mission is just as great. I highly recommend their Tree Runners.

  • I have had the original wool runners for over 4 years and have loved them. They were a gift that I was super excited about- and they have stood the test of time. As a resident sock HATER the best part of these sneakers is not needing to wear socks. Absolutely love their mission and the great work that they have done in sustainability for clothing. They also have done a great job developing new products for a range of different customers!

I got a great light yellow pair and over time, they stained pretty badly from NYC city streets... while you can wash them, only so much sludge will ever come out. I caution light colors of the wools if you are in a dirty city! Additionally, they get prettyyy toasty, and I wouldn't advise traveling in them in the summer as well however some of their new styles that aren't wool are probably perfect for this. I will say, in the past few years, their competition has gotten pretty stiff. When Allbirds came out, they were so innovative in terms of mission and product (casual sneaker) and at this point I have a few other brands I prefer with a more elevated look.

  • My wife and I both have had multiple pairs of the slip on style (most-recently the furry version which is super warm). They're comfortable and a great pair of shoes to just toss on. They've obviously killed it on the branding and bringing the sustainability mission mainstream.

    Feedback

Taking away a star because we dealt with some quality issues early on. The back of the slip ons ripped open on multiple pairs

  • Stylish, very comfortable - the fit is just right for me. If choosing Allbirds over other traditional footwear-brands is better the planet - even better.

For some reason my feet tire faster in these than they do in my previous pair of shoes – maybe it's just new muscles being activated because of the different fit?

  • I've boughten three pairs of Allbirds now and they are comfy right out of the box. My coworker asked to try mine on once and immediately was like "Omg, I didn't expect these to actually be that comfortable!" and it's true. I love taking them on trips too because I don't have to worry about blisters.

  • Just slipped into my new Allbirds Women's Tree Loungers, and it's like walking on clouds! ☁️ These beauties are perfect for those laid-back days when comfort is a must but style can't take a backseat. Made from sustainable materials, they’re as kind to the earth as they are to my feet. 🌍💚 Whether I'm running errands or just chilling with friends at a coffee shop, these loungers have got me covered. Seriously, if you haven't tried them yet, what are you waiting for?

  • Allbirds has completely won me over with their footwear! The shoes are incredibly comfortable, lightweight, and made from sustainable materials, so I feel good about my purchase. They’re perfect for everyday wear—whether I'm running errands, walking, or just hanging out. The design is simple and modern, and I love that they offer a variety of styles and colors to fit any taste. The wool and tree fiber materials keep my feet cool in the summer and warm in the winter, making them great year-round. Plus, Allbirds has a commitment to sustainability that I really admire. If you're looking for eco-friendly, comfortable, and stylish shoes, Allbirds is definitely worth checking out!

  • Allbirds Wool Runners are hands-down the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned! The merino wool is soft, breathable, and keeps my feet cozy in cool weather and cool in warmer temps. They’re lightweight and perfect for all-day wear, whether I’m running errands or traveling. I also love the minimalist, stylish design—they look great with everything! Plus, knowing they’re made with sustainable materials makes me feel even better about wearing them. If you’re looking for sneakers that are comfy, versatile, and environmentally conscious, Allbirds Wool Runners are a must-have. Highly recommend!

  • I am an Allbirds fan for life, but like all shoes it really depends on your preference and what works for your feet. The wool runner is a staple for me, but other styles just aren’t comfortable on my feet specifically so you need to find what works best for you!
