Acid League impresses in reviews for inventive vinegars, sauces, and dressings that elevate cooking—standouts include Meyer Lemon Honey, Strawberry Rosé, Garden Heat, and Spicy Serrano Mayo—yet consistency varies. While many praise bright, complex flavors and striking packaging, others find certain vinaigrettes waxy or too sweet/acidic, ramen broths bitter, and Proxies lacking wine-like depth, with some noting short shelf life.

  • I’ve tried 3 of the dressings (toasted coconut, mango jalapeño, honey yuzu) and really like them. Have used them on salads and to marinate chicken. The packaging and flavors are fun and cute which is what originally drew me to grab them off the shelf. I do find it tricky to use the whole bottle before it expires because the flavors are so unique and don’t pair with everything. Maybe I should check out the website and see if they have suggested recipes. Or maybe they could add something like that to the bottles.

  • I usually make my own salad dressing with lemon juice and olive oil but i am a sucker for pretty packaging so i decided to give this a go. OMG this is so delicious! Just the right amount of acid and a hint of sweet from the honey which balances it out perfectly. 10/10 would repurchase.

  • I’ve bought a few bottles of acid league vinegars and they’re my favorite! My old favorite by them (RIP Medjool Date Balsamic) has been replaced by Strawberry Rose and I love it almost as much. The flavor is very much your classic high-quality balsamic, but with depth and a hint of sweetness. I love pairing it with olive oil and flaky sea salt on a salad! I also think the vinegars would make a great gift since they come in a beautiful glass bottle.

  • I was intrigued by Acid League because we love to cook and have tried a few products now. The Meyer lemon honey vinegar is my favorite - such an easy way to make a delicious salad dressing. The strawberry rosé vinegar is also great for bitter leaves, but I find myself reaching for it less than the Meyer lemon vinegar, which was finished very quickly. (It is rosé as in rosé wine, not the flower by the way.) The saffron ketchup is great as a heinz alternative, but I'm not sure I really notice the saffron flavor. I wish their products were more widely available - I know they disabled their web store unfortunately, but you can find products at Whole Foods

  • Loved their vinegars and am impressed with their customer support! I ordered a multi pack a few years ago and one of the items arrived slightly opened. I sent the photo to customer support and they were super kind and quick to ship a replacement.

  • One of the most innovative brands around. They changed out some of their products recently and not sure what they kept but their “secret sauce” saffron gold is outstanding, as is their liquid kimchi, excellent enhancements to any home cook’s arsenal

  • I like the Seaside Fish n' Chip Sauce from this brand because it tastes great. I find that I only need a little bit of this sauce because a little goes a long way with this bottle.

  • The vinegars are awesome, 5/5, can recommend. I really wanted to like their non-alc wine but that was, unfortunately, a 1/5 for me (tried the "Velvet", their rich red wine version). Tasted more like a very weird musky blueberry juice. In general, loving the visual design of all things Acid League do.

Keep improving the red wine flavor of the non-alc wine, I still want to love it!

  • So far I have only tried the proxies line, but would like to try more of their products. The branding is on point! These bottles look amazing. The taste is very interesting. They say it isn’t wine and it certainly is not. It is somewhere between a cocktail mixer, juice and wine. I enjoyed some more than others, but I still missed wine in dry Jan. Sauvage was a winner! It is however a big step-up from alcohol-removed wine! Looking forward to trying the vinegars.

I am glad these were ground shipped (even if it took weeks), but wish they used less packaging or something less environmentally impactful.

  • Seen this brand in the store and finally gave it a shot. My first purchase was the Strawberry Rosé. Loveeee is an understatement! The subtle sweetness and yummy tart flavor of this strawberry rosé vinegar pairs perfectly with my favorite strawberry spring mix salad. In addition to adding a refreshing kick to salads, it can be used for anything from roasting vegetables, to yogurt. The ingredients are simple and clean, with no artificial flavors or additives, just great refreshing flavor. I’ll definitely keep this one stocked in my pantry from now on.

  • I usually mix my own dressing, but I kept seeing this in the store. I’m so happy I tried it! I’ve only had the Thai Coconut so far. When I tell you this lil baby was a full KO of flavor. I’m in love. So tangy & fresh tasting without a sour bitterness. I could drink this one. Makes my crazy salads come together. I’m definitely trying the other flavors now. I went through a whole bottle in one week. 😅

  • I just tried their spicy Mayo as it was on sale at Whole Foods and it is delish - I love the packaging and affordability. P.s. most of their products are on sale at WF right now if you wanna try (July 10, 2023).

  • Let me be clear. I am a huge Acid League fan. Their salad dressings are truly in a league of their own. This review, however, is for their Proxies non-alcoholic, wine alternative. I tried the "Velvet" flavor. Love the concept, unfortunately I think this product misses the mark when it comes to supplementing wine. I was expecting it to taste wine-ish (if that makes sense), but all my tastebuds kept telling me was prune juice. It honestly might be pretty good if you served it with ice and didn't have wine as a frame of reference.

More acidity maybe? I'm not expert but it tasted really flat and juice-ish relative to the real deal. Either way, keep trying and I'll be eagerly waiting and probably testing out your other flavors 🙆🏻‍♂️

  • The flavor combinations are so well thought out and balanced. Given the brand name, each product has a great kick of acid to cut through fat and richness. Excited to try more!

  • OMG. I am obsessed with their vinegars. I use the Meyer Lemon Vinegar on a daily basis in my water. I really don’t like water without it anymore. I’m excited to try more of the flavors! I purchased at my local Whole Foods, but I would order direct to try more!

Nothing really to improve - I just wish there were more of those limited edition flavors that I can try!

  • The taste of these sauces and salad dressings and sauces definitely take some getting used to. It's much better when it's marinated / cooked. But the flavors are definitely unique

  • Obsessed!! Bought my first Acid League product because of the cute bottle and because I wanted to try something new. It was the Magic Mushroom Caeser dressing — I was impressed with the taste and the ingredients as great as well! Now every other trip to whole foods I like to try something new.

  • Short story short, customer service was incredibly quick to make my ordering experience five star. I ended up with the vinegar kit- Meyer lemon honey, mango jalapeno, garden heat, and apple cider maple. I am almost upset that I like the products so much because now I am going to have to afford this addiction.

I would like to know more ways that I can use the product. Give me more recipes, ideas, cooking techniques, etc for how to use the product and be successful in trying it out. The packaging did not match the high quality of the product, but it was delivered with no issues in terms of securing the products. It just wasn't particularly pretty

  • I think the branding is fantastic (everything from the brand name to the website to the packaging). When I see it on the shelf I'm always inclined to buy it. I've only had the pit sauce, which I thought was very good. It's not something that I could go after every day, but I've found that having it sitting in my fridge means that it's going to get poured on some chicken every week or so. I also think the breadth of Acid League's product line is quite impressive.

  • I'm never not going to have Acid League in my kitchen. Who knew that vinegar could have so many possibilites. I've enjoyed adding it to salad dressings, throwing a splash in cocktails, and having a cute bottle to look at. Also love that it's Canadian made

Wish that there was more content on how to savour it as a cocktail or more things that I could do with it!
