Reviews mention

  • Exceptional insulation performance
  • Leakproof, reliable sealing
  • Sleek, cup‑holder‑friendly silhouettes
  • Distinctive, fashion‑forward designs
  • Narrow mouth complicates cleaning
  • Exterior coating chips or scratches
  • Prone to dents when dropped
  • Occasional metallic taste or odor

S’well earns strong reviews for performance and style: bottles and drinkware reliably keep beverages icy-cold or piping hot for hours, don’t leak, fit cup holders and backpacks, and come in distinctive colors, marbles, and collaborations. Reviews also flag drawbacks—narrow mouths and caps that are difficult to clean, easy denting and exterior chipping/scratching, occasional metallic taste or odor, and dated designs versus newer competitors—making it excellent for temperature retention but less compelling for durability and ergonomics.

  • I love S'well bottles, and I've collected several throughout the years. It is a bit heavy, but it is typically my bottle of choice for travel. I don't typically use it for hot drinks, but I can say that it keeps drinks cold for a long time, especially if you add ice. I went hiking and put mostly ice and a little water in my S'well and several hours into the hike, all of the ice cubes were still intact and had not melted like I assumed they would - whoops! The bottles with the narrower tops are harder to clean. I like that I can also buy other tops, like the flip top and sport top - I actually wish the bottles came with a top that you could drink out of without taking it off. Also, the flip top broke pretty easily.

  • I love my swell bottle (the classic 17oz) and it has served me well for YEARS even though I have abused it and it has a number of dents. It truly is amazing in keeping hot hot and cold cold for a long ass time. The only flaw is that because of the bottle shape (as expected) I have to clean with a brush but its no big deal!

Wish it came with a cleaning brush (Bamboo??)

  • These are the perfect water bottles - last forever, keep things hot and cold (is it possible for something to be too hot?!), and look beautiful

  • Super cute patterns and colors.

You can’t use with anything aside from water

  • I received a free swell from NCL on a cruise and it is my favorite water bottle. I have the 23 Oz bottle and it's my perfect size bottle. The small mouth makes it stay cold water and it's so much easier to drink because of that.

    Feedback

The small mouth is a double edge sword. It makes it harder to get ice in, but the pros out weigh the cons here.

  • The containers are beautiful and retain heat/cold well. Compared to other water bottles on the market they are a fair price but not the best!

  • High quality bottles, and great designs. However, the designs do wear/fade over time, and bottles do dent easily if dropped. If you don't mind slightly weathered looking bottles over time, the shape and quality are great.

Insulation not as strong as a hydro flask (but also not marketed to be)

  • Well designed, attractive, sturdy water bottles with minimalist aesthetic that have become my go to water bottle. Do what they’re supposed to do (eg keep water cold). Generally highly overpriced but often easy to find time on significant sale (or get as a corporate gift)

  • Doesn’t keep the temperature. The cap wears and makes a screechy noise. There are better water bottles out there.

  • These were super popular in the mid 2010s. They had pretty fun patterns at the same but looking back they were kind of cheugy. Water stays cold but the bottle gets dented pretty easily. I’d say try it if you’re curious but there are better brands out there!

  • kinda middle school type of waterbottle. unfortunately very low quality prints on the outside for mine

  • I have 3 Swell bottles that I alternate between. They keep liquids either hot or cold for a long time. I love taking my tea to work in them. They are a bit heavier than some other bottles, probably due to the insulation.

  • My S'well bottle keeps my drinks cold forever -- like seriously forever. They're durable and eco-friendly, but sometimes I wish they were easier to clean. Totally clutch for staying hydrated on the go.

  • I LOVE these products! So easy to clean (not a bunch of pieces), keep my food and drinks’ temperature regulated. I love the stainless tumbler with sip/straw combo lid as well as the lidded bowls. Cup fits right in my cars cup holder. The bowls are great for lunch to go and sending in a kids’ lunchbox

  • I have a S'well water bottle. Great quality and keeps my water cool. Great for corporate gifting with your company logo on it.

  • Great for frequent travelers and those always on the go. Keeps beverages hot/cold for hours.

  • Great water bottles - more recently got the salad bowl which keeps everything clean and fresh. Expensive, so have either gotten products on sale or have been gifted them through corporates.
