Reviews mention

  • Exceptional insulation performance
  • Leakproof, reliable sealing
  • Sleek, cup‑holder‑friendly silhouettes
  • Distinctive, fashion‑forward designs
  • Narrow mouth complicates cleaning
  • Exterior coating chips or scratches
  • Prone to dents when dropped
  • Occasional metallic taste or odor

S’well earns strong reviews for performance and style: bottles and drinkware reliably keep beverages icy-cold or piping hot for hours, don’t leak, fit cup holders and backpacks, and come in distinctive colors, marbles, and collaborations. Reviews also flag drawbacks—narrow mouths and caps that are difficult to clean, easy denting and exterior chipping/scratching, occasional metallic taste or odor, and dated designs versus newer competitors—making it excellent for temperature retention but less compelling for durability and ergonomics.

  • I have a swell water bottle and it’s great! I can’t say there’s anything particularly innovative about the product, but it’s great for keeping drinks cold.

  • I have the rose marble traveler. It’s so pretty. It keeps my coffee hot and drinks cold while drinking them. I don’t let them sit long because I’m drinking them so not sure of how long it actually does but it’s so pretty. Price seems to be good also. It’s so pretty though!!!!

  • I have one of the wide mouth bottles and I like it. I mostly used it to carry coffee to class. It’s nice to have the leakproof lid and also a big enough opening to be able to see that I really cleaned the bottle (this was always my concern with the original product and why I never got one of their bottles). There’s nothing wrong with it, but now that I have a yeti travel cup I just don’t find myself reading for the swell anymore. Make of that what you will!

  • We have a few water bottles. The quality on them is good. They aren't huge, so it makes it perfect for kiddos.

  • Loudest bottle in the world if you drop it. Dents easily. Design feels dated around 2015, especially with the fake wood grain.

  • Pretty good and keeps the bevs cold but the paint does chip over time. The screw top takes a little long to undo also, but it’s good for transport definitely.

  • I love my S’well! I used it for so long and it was very durable. Kept my drinks perfectly cool or hot.

  • Great products. I have 4. Keeps drinks hot or cold for hours. Clean very easily.

  • Let’s face it, they’ve been in the game for the longest! They’re still really great products.

  • Love their bottles but they have had a slight fall in popularity. They were great bottles.

  • Good quality products. Love the stainless steel quality and insulation. The water bottle is convenient but hard to clean. Love the cups! The bowl is great in concept but the insulation takes up too much space and the place where the food goes is made of plastic not stainless steel

  • I've had my 25oz S'well bottle for probably 6 years (I have the wood pattern one). I can keep water in it for hours, even in my hot car, and come back to a cold drink. I dropped it on concrete many times and ended up with a bottom that is now misshapen so it can't stand up straight, but I can't give it up. I did purchase the sports cap to make it easier to sip from, but it was not very leakproof and would often spill in my car.

  • I don’t really understand these. Very expensive for what it is. Plenty of other insulated water bottles that are cheaper and don’t show wear as much.

  • My s’well bottles (water bottle, lidded coffee cup, flip top thermos) are all years old and have taken a beating by life, without product failure. Definitely a long haul product I’d highly recommend. I can brew my tea/tisane, forget I made it, to remember it in an hour and its still hot. 10 stars

They don’t hold onto smells or impart a chemical/metal taste onto hot or cold beverages. I’ve let family borrow them only for them to ask for their own

I honestly love my S’Well water bottles. They don’t tend to leak, and I find that they keep my water (or other beverages) colder for longer, which is really all I ask for in a water bottle. Plus, love the sustainability angle!

  • S'well bottles have served me well, but I have discovered that they are a bit too heavy for me to throw in my bag on-the-go. These days I prefer a non-metal bottle for that reason.

  • I love my swell bottle! It keeps my water cold for so long, has a cool iridescent finish that hasn't worn off, and the sport cap is an amazing accessory. It flips open so you don't have to unscrew the top each time, which really comes in handy if you like to take many quick sips throughout a fitness class.

  • I’ve had multiple swell products over the years — I feel like they were one of the first to market with the insulated water bottles but hydro flask kind of usurped the market. I know that these products say to not put in the dishwasher, but I do anyways and then the color flakes off. I wish they would just find a more durable way to coat the products so they could hold up in a dishwasher better?
