Starface wins praise in reviews for playful branding, a handy refillable compact, and making acne feel celebratory, yet its classic Hydro-Stars often underperform versus competitors at extracting “gunk,” reducing inflammation, or staying put—especially overnight. While some users see quick results (notably with Micro-Cloud or blue salicylic acid stars), many cite weak adhesion, small one-size patches, and limited efficacy on early or cystic blemishes, making the brand better for pick-prevention and daytime cover than potent treatment.

I think that this product works for a lot of people, and I like their design, but the price point is way too high to be able to use it regularly. While the packaging is really cute, it ends up being just a lot of plastic for not a lot of product.
Their design and collabs are pretty awesome. I just wish the products worked as well as they look. I have tried the original pimple patches and the toner. Neither were that effective for me. I would recommend Hero and Thayers for those products over Starface.
Honestly, I’ll keep it simple. Is it cute? Yes. Does it work? No.

I have dealt with active acne for around five years and have tried many different pimple patches. I wear starface patches to avoid being asked "what is that on your face" when I wear the clear ones. The classic Starface patches are such a recognizable shape and seem to be more accepted. That being said, the patches are less effective at 'sucking out goo' than larger hydrocolloid patches. These patches are best for keeping yourself from touching a blemish, keeping sunscreen/masks from it, or covering up a blemish when you go out. Four stars I love that the brand offers a cute and refillable carrying case too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have tried the classic yellow stars, cookie monster collab, and the black stars. If you want more coverage, pick the collabs or fruit stickers that they offer instead
They're okay, wouldn't say the best pimple patch out there, but it gets the job done. Since they're star shaped I feel like they don't cover as much surface as they should in order to be really effective. I see these more as pimple patches to wear when you go out, while the others you wear to sleep. I know they're cute because I got complimented when I had these on in public.

Really hard to peel though, one of the corners comes out wrinkled if you do it wrong. I figured out that do avoid this, you don't peel the star, but bend the clear thingy its on until you can peel it properly.
Cute! Very cute! Does not do anything to clear up pimples, save for maybe getting me to stop touching them less.

Patches could be made of hydrocolloid material, or include acne-fighting serums to better combat acne instead of just looking cute while covering it up.
I usually use pimple patches overnight, and normally use Hero's Invisible+'s. I tried the Starface pimple patches because I love the company's mission around mental health. Wanted to like them, but they really do not work as well as Hero's. Woke up with stars around the bed, which was both cute and annoying, but mainly annoying because they actually had done nothing about my pimple situation. If you are deciding between which pimple patches to buy, I'd warmly recommend the Hero Invisible +'s. Ultimately, I feel like Starface pimple patches are maybe more of a daytime wear + statement thing, vs actually doing much about the pimples.
Make sure to try the cotton puffs!
I buy these mostly cause they're cute not necessarily for pimples per se but I love the practical carry-ing case and the designs and the mirror that comes in some of the cases so that's a definite upside to other brands with similar products.
I don't love the pimple patches. I'm not really sure they work. However, I recently got the chapstick and let me tell you I am obsessed. it looks super cool and smells amazing.
Sounds like Scarface which this gets rid of
never notice a difference using these waste of money
The starface mars moisture is great 👍
The starface patches are OK. They usually don't last through the night and end up in my hair. When they do stay on, they somewhat work. I've tried other brands that clear up right away, whereas this one needs a couple of uses to see results. But they are really cute
I think these patches are not as great as Rael but these are fun to wear! I love the case.
THE BEST SUNSCREEN! truly, their sunscreen has changed my life, I burn super easy but hate the way sunscreen feels on my skin, especially my face! they have done it, although it looks greasy and oily, once you rub it into your skin, it is so perfect and is not oily. truly one if not the best face sunscreens I have ever tried, it does not cause breakouts, and I can go hours without reapplying. starface has made me love sunscreen!
They work and they are cute - what more can you ask for? I feel like this brand started a movement in the pimple patch space to be a fashion statement - I even wore mine at the airport.
In addition to loving this products itself- I’m really grateful for the cultural phenomenon it has created. It’s so commonplace to see people wearing the stickers that you don’t feel any shame or stigma wearing them yourself in public. Acne is so stigmatized & I’m really happy these are doing what they are doing. I’m glad that a generation of teens gets to grow up accessorizing their pimples rather than having anxiety about going to school with a pimple.

Sadly, I'm not find their acne pads really work on my skin. But, it is pretty and you could prevent dust to your acne.

The stars work so amazingly on any spots that are open, but if you have something emerging under the skin do not waste a stars. I am not a huge fan of the pore strips at all. They left me a bit sticky and having to really scrub at my face. I definitely want to try the hydrostars.
