Soft Services wins strong reviews for delivering effective body care—especially the Buffing Bar and Carea Cream—for smoothing KP, ingrowns, and winter dryness, while its Theraplush hand treatment and chic, refillable packaging elevate daily rituals. Reviews also flag drawbacks: Theraplush’s sticky feel and polarizing scent, the Smoothing Solution’s tacky residue and modest results, and the Buffing Bar’s abrasiveness for sensitive skin.

LOVE Soft Services. The buffing bar is truly an innovative product in my opinion - the bar leaves my skin feeling smooth and moisturized and I love the orange color and smell. I also have the shower gel and really like it, however, I don't think it is as much of a standout product as the buffing bar.

Love the buffing bar. Made the mistake of going to a work event outside without sunscreen and got an interesting burn which faded into tan lines that clashed with the neckline of my wedding dress. I read about the buffing bar on Cup of Jo and figured I would give it a try to see if it could help fade my tan line faster. It did! I will say, I did develop some bumps on my arms over time. Maybe I was overusing? In any case, I would still buy this again.

At the time I purchased it the buffing bar came in packages of 2 bars. I wish you could just get one at a time. It's also a little pricey.
I expected more from the buffing bar. Someone I know has keratosis pilaris and said this changed their life. I get awful ingrowns so I shelled out the money and it didn’t do much for me at all. And it didn’t last that long either, for the price. I now use a Korean Exfoliating Towel and I actually see my dead skin coming off. Way more cost effective too!
I really liked the speed soak which is perfect for those hot days where you still need moisture but don't want a heavy cream product. I am excited to try some of their other items. I would recommend.
I have KP on my arms and behind my legs. It can be annoying, and nothing seemed to work. These lotions really do the job somehow. I dry brush like normal and apply it and my skin looks radiant and glowing, and smooth.
Amazing for those of us who have sensitive skin or allergies and need fragrance free body products. I also prefer a chemical exfoliant to a physical one and this company makes a good one.
Love Theraplush HOLD. It has definitely helped my cuticles. I think for the price, the refill should have more but I've already repurchased! can't be without it!
One of the best hand creams, hands down. And it looks nice on my nightstand and is refillable. I really want to try the buffing bar. I like their innovative formulas and that they offer products that fill gaps in the market.
Love the body wash, the formula and packaging are divine for my sensitive skin. I tried the speed soak lotion and it was just not for me. Left my skin sticky and did not feel super hydrating.
I’ve got the clearing mist (works wonders for breakouts on body), theraplush care for hands (love my nightly ritual!) and just received software update serum. Super excited to try more of their products! 10/10 so far.

Big fan so far. I've been using the buffing bar, the chemical exfoliant, and the gel body moisturizer. Regular use of chemical exfoliant on my legs has been the only thing that helped me get back to smooth legs, and the gel body moisturizer saved me this summer amid insane humidity.

I've only tried the Carea Cream and the Speed Soak, but both are effective products and only get better with more use over time. The skincare inside is effective, and each packaging element is well-made and sturdy. They also look great sitting out on your counter or vanity. The products are also all fragrance-free. Love the sustainability aspect - the packaging of the products itself is made with sustainability in mind, and the shipping packaging is thoughtfully created with recyclability and a fantastic unboxing experience. Even though the products are geared towards skin issues like textured skin, KP, and eczema, the high quality and beautiful aesthetic make them great for gifting. Although the price is not cheap, Soft Services offers a luxury product that is also high performing. Their website is so fun to navigate, clean yet incredibly informative, and downright beautiful. They really have thought of everything that a user might want to know about the product - even including a feature that displays the actual size of products. Honestly, this entire brand is made with such careful thought and embodies one of my favorite principles of design, which is crafting for delight. To top it all off, the customer service is amazing. I've been watching them since they launched, and it's cool to see how they've evolved and expanded their product line and company while still staying true to the original brand vision and mission. I cannot speak highly enough about this brand and would recommend it to everyone - textured/irritated skin or otherwise.
received the smoothing set as a gift and noticed improvements to my keratosis pilaris within days. almost scentless (the smoothing solution has a subtle chemical smell but doesn't stay on you) which i appreciate. great packaging and design.

Got the Carea Cream and the Buffing Bar - both fantastic, but was especially into the cream. Super lightweight, absorbed into skin quickly. I normally hate putting on lotion, but this made it easy! The bar's great as well, I don't have KP or anything so it didn't make a HUGE difference, but my skin was definitely smoother after using both products in conjunction!
First impression, the packaging is great and I’m a sucker for cool design. The smell from the active ingredients in the products comes across strong but I can learn to live with it if the products deliver on what they promise. Stay tuned for updates. Update: I would not buy again. It wasn’t a good fit or easy for me to use in my daily routine.
I have been using their products for almost two months and I noticed improvements in my skin. I have always have had acne-prone skin on my face and body but I never found products that were targeted towards the body, only the face. I discovered them through Instagram and truly resonated with the brand's mission. The bar is my favorite and I am about to repurchase it as well as try their new mist and clearing clay. The bottom line is they work and I think their pricing is great.
If there is one brand I had to choose to marry in 2021, this would be it. I mean...everything from the branding to the packaging to the product ACTUALLY doing what it promises (!!!) has me committed. I ordered the full set (their first 3 products: buffing bar, smoothing solution, and carea cream) and I couldn't stop touching my legs for the first 24 hours after because they were actually that soft. (Maybe that's TMI but we're here to be honest, so I'm being honest.) After years of shaving and waxing and just getting older, I thought my legs were a lost cause. Well, they're not anymore. Truly, I can't say enough great things about this brand. The buffing bar feels so great and works, the smoothing gel really does its thing, and then the magical carea cream is the cherry on top. I also really can't say enough about how much I love the branding/packaging. It's not distracting, but it's just got enough quirkiness to it, and you can tell there was a lot of thought put into every detail. Massive fan of this product and even though it's a bit spenny, totally worth it. Customer service is great too and as an early customer, they proactively reached out a few times to check in which was hugely appreciated and thoughtful.

Honestly nothing I'd improve. @ Soft Services, do you need an ambassador/professional fan girl? I will accept payment in products 🙏
I have used both the exfoliating bar and the retinol hand cream (they have specific names but🤷♀️) both are lovely and work amazingly well. The bar leaves my skin so soft. Make sure to only use a few times a week though our you’ll lose your epidermis! The cream is a work of art but the packaging and the texture. This is something that you won’t necessarily notice immediate results, but it’s a pleasure to use.
The Buffing Bar (I went with the fragrance-free version) is definitely a unique experience! When you first use it, you have to rub off the outer layer before you start feeling the exfoliating crystals. The texture can be surprising at first as it feels a lot more intense compare to a typical body scrub or polish, so it might take some getting used to. That said, I think it's actually working, especially on smoothing my bumpy skin. I can still see some KP, but it seems like it's improving gradually. I have trouble staying consistent with some bodycare routines, so I am sure if I keep up with a more consistent routine (like 2-3 times a week), it'll improve a lot more. For the Clearing Mist, I also don't use it as consistently as I would like to, but it is a lifesaver when I get heat rash. Just a couple of spritzes a few times a day, and it's pretty soothing! It has a light herbal scent, so it isn't too strong, artificial, or medicinal. The packaging is the highlight for both of these products! The Buffing Bars comes wrapped in plastic-free paper and box (just toss in the recycling bin!). I love that the Clearing Mist is also available in refills sans the mister (and you save $1 when you purchase!) - recycle the empty bottle, save the misting device, and then just reuse it when your new refill has arrived! Overall? Loving these two products so far!
I have really bad KP on my arms, and I’ve tried everything under the sun, but this buffing bar (and the carea cream, but I suspect mostly the buffing bar) has made the most noticeable difference in the least amount of time of any product I’ve tried. After using it 2-3x per week for the last two weeks or so, I have fewer bumps on my arms and my legs have never felt softer. The carea cream is nice too; it has a very thin texture, but a little goes a long way. It leaves my skin feeling moisturized without overdoing it.
