Tastes pretty awful but overall the morning recovery did seem to really help minimize or prevent hangovers, which is something I can definitely get over sub-par taste for.
Kinship
Experience
I've only tried the probiotic sunscreen and the tint can dry down pretty nice.
Feedback
The suncreen feels really heavy going on and takes a while to dry down. I'm also very pale and it sometimes gave even me a whitecast which I hated. And overall I hate the over-marketing of "clean" products and prefer brands that use good evidence-based ingredients and products that have been clinically studied (both for safety and efficacy). "Clean" products aim to sell themselves by making consumers fear other products rather than promoting the positive results their products will give.
Blueland
Experience
We've been using Blueland for 2-3 years now and overall are really happy with the products! I first bought it in an attempt to reduce single-use plastic waste for hand soap and cleaning products and we've largely been really successful at that through Blueland. The cleaning sprays also seem to be really effective at cleaning!
Feedback
The hand soap pumps were a bit finnicky at first and we had to get them replaced, which Blueland was pretty helpful with. I find the white pumps show dirt pretty easily so they can end up looking a little dirty, and I wish they had more attractive containers for the hand soap as those are often in public places like our guest bathroom and kitchen sink. I don't care about aesthetics so much for the cleaning supplies. The cleaning spray bottle pumps also tended to get stuck when you sprayed them but it seems to have gotten better over time.
Bombas
Experience
I first bought Bombas because they seemed to have some of the nicest / fullest "no show" socks in the market, but have since also bought ankle socks, running & athletic socks, and quarter-length socks from them. I find them soft and comfortable.
Feedback
The "no show" socks did get holes in the toes after only a year or two which seemed a bit fast. I'm sure it's a balance between thick enough to withstand wear and thin enough to be in the shoes that usually require no-shows which tend to be fairly snug, not like sneakers. But I wish for the price they would remain hole-free longer.
Stasher Bag
Experience
Love Stasher bags and would really love to keep using them more and fully stop using single-use plastic bags. I don't have kids yet though so that might be the true test, as without kids we don't end up using our stasher bags a ton. I enjoy the colors and they seal really well (sometimes too well and can be a tiny bit tough to open but much prefer that over spillage).
Feedback
They can be annoying to clean by hand and sometimes I worry the dishwasher won't thoroughly clean the inside of the bags that actually end up with food on them, but that might be my own paranoia and perhaps if I use them more and stick to only dish-washing them I'll find that concern dissipate.
Glossier
Experience
Really love Glossier, especially the boy brow, lash stick, and lidstar. I've been consistently buying boy brow and lash stick for years now, easily the most natural looking mascara and tinted brow gels I've found. I like the ethos of their products being good for skin first.
Feedback
I've really only been a consumer of Glossier for makeup - their skincare products have not intrigued me as much as other skincare brands. I only tried Future Dew and it felt heavy and made me break out a little bit.
Sheertex
Experience
True to their claim, I've worn my my Sheertex tights ~10 times now and have had zero issues with snags or runs (typically a single wear of tights will result in a run for me). If they keep up this way I'd say they're worth the steep price (plus I hate having to go buy new tights and it's not very sustainable).
Feedback
Would love the ultra sheer ones to be available more consistently! When I bought my Sheertex, they didn't have any ultra sheers available. The normal ones are still not too opaque, but I love a very sheer black tight.
Who Gives a Crap
Experience
LOVE who gives a crap TP and paper towels. We've been subscribing/receiving WGAC paper products since the pandemic started and we'll never go back. I love that they come in the mail so I don't have to physically shop for these bulky products and lug them around a store or to-and-from my car. And I especially love their sustainability and A+ environment rating. And it's not like shitty single-ply toilet paper, it is perfectly fine for me!
Everyday Humans
Experience
Tested Oh My Bod ! and really love the texture, felt weightless and not greasy/sticky, which I think can be pretty hard to find in US-made sunscreens.
Feedback
Obviously it's not quite as affordable as most drugstore sunscreen, and you need a lot of sunscreen for a full body, so I wish the price point were a little better.
Dieux Skin
Experience
So far I love all the products they've put out (except I have not tried the hand sanitizer), and they've all been great, especially love Deliverance for calming my very dry and sensitive skin (it's been hard for me to tolerate a retinol regularly until I started using Deliverance) and I love the reusable eye masks both for their effectiveness and the positive waste-reduction impact! But perhaps what I love most about Dieux is their science-based approach, rejection of "clean beauty" pseudo-science, and their transparency (pricing, clinical study data, ingredient dosages, etc...).
Feedback
Shipping was fast and I appreciate the Route package protection but I receive around 3-4 emails for each stage (order conf, shipping notification, etc.) and it's clogging up my inbox - wish they could reduce but overall it's a minor annoyance and worth it for the product & their brand.
