quip earns mixed reviews: it looks refined and travels well, but its brushing performance trails true electric rivals. Reviews praise quip’s sleek, lightweight design, mirror-mounted travel cover, timed 30‑second pulses, and hassle-free refill heads (often with batteries). Many criticize weak vibrations that act more as a timer than a cleaner, bristles that feel too stiff or wear quickly, fragile heads and motors, hard-to-remove parts, and occasional mold or gunk buildup—some dentists urge switching to oscillating or higher-powered brushes.

I used this toothbrush for 9 years. It was the first electric toothbrush I owned. And then last year I upgraded to a Phillips Sonicare and I feel like I never knew what an electric toothbrush was. I liked how small and portable it was, but it's really just a regular toothbrush that vibrates. The bristles don't move enough to clean without equal movement to an non electric toothbrush. I still use this toothbrush as a travel toothbrush if I want an electric one, but it really doesn't clean any better than a normal manual toothbrush. I did really like that it's subscription based and sends you new batteries and a head. And I appreciate that the company switched from plastic packaging to paper years ago.

This brand is fine. I like the concept of sending a new brush every 3 months. However, I just never felt like the toothbrush did a good enough job cleaning my teeth when compared to other electric toothbrushes.
I love the idea of these toothbrushes. They are excellent quality, sleek, and well-made. I also like the refillable floss idea. It all seems unique and fun. The price is also quite good for the quality of the item
I enjoyed using the toothbrush but didn't find it to be special enough to re-purchase. Especially since the wall mount broke almost immediately. I do enjoy using the floss pick. The toothpaste is good and very foamy.

I didn't like the plastic parts inter-mixed with the bristles in the toothbrush. As I mentioned, the wall mount also broke very soon after I purchased it.
It looks cool but is not effective dental care. The year that I used it I had so many cavities and my dentist advised me to switch from it.
So I think Quip kind of kicked off the revolution of rechargeable simple toothbrushes. I had one and it was fine, but now there's so many options out there! I love the branding and minimalism but it's just kind of boring to me now.

I think with all of the competition now out there, some new and unique features need to be added!
I’ve been using Quip for a while now, and it’s amazing! The design is sleek and minimal, and the electric toothbrush works great. My teeth feel cleaner, and it’s super easy to use. Plus, the subscription for brush heads is so convenient. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed my quip however I didn’t think it was very long-lasting. The tooth brush lasted me about a month and I had expected more longevity
I used Quip for their floss products and enjoyed the travel friendly aspect and refillable packaging. However, when I tried to seek out the refill for the permanent floss component/holder I found out it’s very difficult to find and it’s a subscription service. The packaging made it seem super elevated because you could pick between gold, silver and rose gold, the heaviness of the holder had a great weight and protected the floss inside. I would prefer for a product like floss to not mandate it be subscription.
Bought this after I lost my Sonicare in an airport, and it's done the job well enough. I like how slick it is, and that I can tell when the battery is dying not because it cuts out, but because the buzzing is very slight. Subscription service is great.

Quip x WaterPik would be an amazing collaboration. Could try to be a bit more environmentally friendly as well.
Yes, this has made me brush my teeth for longer than previously. But honestly, it makes me lazy sometimes with the vibrations convincing me that I did a good job but really I didn't. Sleek design, but a bit harmful for the environment, having to constantly replace a battery. Constantly have issues with these things breaking/stop working. I'm not sure why I give this product the time of day and should go back to the traditional manual toothbrush.

Eco-friendly options
Was pretty underwhelmed by this one. Cool look and feel, but it’s basically just a vibrating toothbrush. Didn’t feel like it did more than any typical dental care option. Mouth wasn’t feeling exceptionally clean or anything.
Feedback
Wish the bristles did more than just vibrate across the whole toothbrush - like rotation maybe.

I love my Quip, I really do. When they introduced their smart motor, I was fast to jump as I thought it was a very neat idea. It's not as precise as others, but you can rack up points for free products and save on your brush head refills. That being said, my brush breaks down completely every four to six months and I have to replace it. The customer service is stellar - I send them photos and explain what is going on and they're very quick to ship me a brand new brush for free. It's just annoying to have to replace that often when I use my toothbrush as everyone else does, two minutes, twice a day. The battery in the smart brush does burn out quicker than they send their replacements though, but nothing I don't mind. Again, I don't mind terribly. The brush is also amazing to travel with! The mount doubles as a cover and can also come apart to be cleaned, which I love. Overall, I highly recommend it. Just don't be afraid to reach out to support when needed.

I think the smart motor could use a revamp. I'd love to see more statistics. I'd also like to see an increase in how well the brush withstands regular use.
Very innovative for teeth brushing.
I love how they look, but they make it really hard to change the battery, which is why this gets a three out of five.
My teeth are so clean
Very good!
Comfy!
I really like my toothbrush, but I do not think it's as powerful as other electric toothbrushes I've used. We also use the mirror/wall hanger accessory, but I wish there was an easy way to clean it out. Floss and toothpaste are fine! No complaints!
Lacks the power of a real electric toothbrush. Not good enough for everyday use and not necessary for traveling. Fail to find an appropriate use case for this toothbrush. Good quality however.
