Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • So oat milk isn't really healthy as it's made with a lot of canola oil -- but I will say that this particular brand tastes amazing in a chai latte. The barista edition is great, and when I lived in the US it was certainly an experience racing everyone else to get first dibs on a box once a month (do they still do that??) -- but it's readily available in big cities in SEAsia.

  • One of the main go-to's for dairy alternatives. I like how oatly tastes and it foams really well. I do think it's a little deceitful to market this as a super "healthy" option, I think if that's your main concern there are lots of better options, but as purely a non-dairy alternative it sure is tasty.

  • boi seed oils and fillers galore here but my parents love it because it froths so well for their AM coffee. innovative tho

  • They give Starbucks a run for their money with how good this flavor is, I love it in my coffe when I’m working sometimes or driving for a long night, it’s soooo creamy, yall have to get on this alternative

  • The Oatly Barista is elite, and the standard oat milk is a very solid, standard milk alternative. I particularly like it in smoothies.

  • Great flavor, I love adding it to my smoothies. Not a fan of the oil and gums in the ingredients, especially for the price.

  • It's more expensive, but I like how it tastes. I love their marketing as well.

  • Love the brand, as well as, the creaminess and texture, just wish it came in a larger size.

  • I've been a fan of Oatly for so long. I'm thrilled to see their mainstream success--I like it so much more than cow milk, especially for coffee (which is mostly how I have milk now), but even just a glass of milk I much prefer Oatly

  • It’s decent but I feel like it doesn’t sit as well in my stomach as almond milk

  • Definitely the best oat milk I’ve tried. The barista version is more stable in coffee drinks and doesn’t curdle like other brands do.

  • The taste is great. This foams up beautifully for lattes too. Very smooth and creamy. I’m not thrilled about the oil, but I think it’s not very much and it does provide the texture you want for foaming milks. The only reason this is not a five star review is because I would like the product I consume to be organic always. Pesticides should a thing of the past. Please and thank you.

  • The best tasting oat milk & the only brand my office buys and uses. We’re stocked at all times. It’s so creamy & makes me excited to have my morning coffee.

  • Oatly tastes great and works super well as a milk substitute in cooking, but it’s filled with SO many oils and preservatives and can be so pricey compared to other oat milks! I’ll use it if I have to but I think there’s better and cheaper brands out there.

  • Good! More environmentally friendly than almond milk, and great in shakes, on cereal, etc!

  • Love the product hate the packaging. Feels too obvious. Love me so oatmilk and they were the first ones to make me love it more. 4.5 stars. Hire a good design team. Mwah.

  • The OG oatmilk! I've been using Oatly for years, and it has always been of the best quality. I don't even have an allergy to dairy or anything, I just sometimes want to have oatmilk in my coffees and cereal. A lot of other brands have off-tastes or are grainy or super thick with too much xantham gum. Oatly has been the best with their flavor and consistency. Their branding is awesome too!

  • Love Oatly! Full fat is my favorite — foams well in the steamer and works for cooking too. Excited for the future Oatly products to come!
