Reviews mention

  • Refined, natural-leaning fragrances
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin formulas
  • Smooth, comfortable application
  • Attractive, sustainable packaging
  • Inconsistent odor protection longevity
  • White residue and shirt staining
  • Occasional gritty, sticky texture
  • Body wash sometimes feels drying

Native earns praise for clean ingredients, standout scents (Coconut & Vanilla, Cucumber & Mint, Lilac & White Tea, Citrus & Herbal Musk) and comfortable, non-irritating wear for many, but reviews say performance is inconsistent: the deodorant often fades by midday, struggles in heat/workouts, can leave white residue or shirt stains, and some experience rashes or gritty texture. Reviews of body wash and hair care skew positive for gentle lather and pleasant aromas, though a few find body wash drying and shampoos underwhelming. Overall, Native is a good natural option if you don’t sweat heavily and will reapply; heavy sweaters may need stronger protection.

  • I like the concept but I don’t feel like it works well on sweat prevention or keeping odor away all day. Not the most reliable if you sweat a lot or plan to work out.

  • I really wanted to like this product but it left my skin irritated.

    Feedback

Felt my body was finally acclimating to this natural deodorant but then my skin broke out in a rash from it. Had to discontinue use.

  • Tried the lilac & white tea scent. Smells great, not too overpowering or "fake". Noticed the smell lasted the whole day as well. Overall it's an deodorant that does it's job, but isn't amazing that I would rave about it all the time

    Feedback

A few times I did notice a bit of white clumps from the deodorant. Not the worst thing but not great when you have to lift you arms or it transfers onto your clothes

  • I have used Native for a couple years now, and it has never let me down! For me, the scent will last into the next day. I love that they have seasonal scents to choose from, and that you can find body wash to match the deodorants they have. Also, the scents are very unique and do not have that "fragrance over BO" smell once you eventually do get a stench. I will say that the long lasting scent has not been the case for other people I've recommended it to, but for me it is perfect!

    Feedback

I would love to see a solid perfume launch of some of the scents, and longer availability of seasonal scents!

  • The first Native product that I used was literally a travel-sized deodorant that I got at Target for ~$1.99 and wow I’m super impressed! It smells great and doesn’t fade away even on the most humid days.

    N/a

  • I've purchased from Native MANY times. Love all their products, especially the natural deos.

    Feedback

Would be awesome to see a 'clear' version of the deos.

  • I used the native coconut and vanilla deodorant for a while and I like that it's a clean product. It's not antiperspirant so I did feel like I sweat too much for the product to really work for me.

  • This product is great, I love the texture (looks and feels like a traditional deodorant) I love that it’s not gritty like some natural brands and the eucalyptus & mint scent smells AMAZING!

  • The deodorant works certainly, but it can be really hard and difficult to apply. The body wash line is great! Very sudsy (with loofah!). It leaves my skin soft and smooth. The scents are great and the bottles seem to last forever.

  • I wish Native worked for me but unfortunately it gave me a rash, even when I used the sensitive skin version. That being said, the customer service was amazing and the scent was so good. I ended up giving it to a friend who loved it and used the whole thing!

    Better for sensitive skin

  • Native is the only natural deodorant that "worked" for me. But I don't think natural deodorant is for me.

  • I use the coconut & vanilla scent, which smells amazing. The plastic-free tube is a bit of a hassle when the deodorant stick starts getting short and falling in, but the shape of the cylinder is a lot easier to pack in toiletry bags. The plastic-free option is pricier, but I consider it worth it. The smell usually lasts the whole day, but I can't say the antiperspirant is as strong as regular deodorant. I've used Native for over a year now, so I don't think that it's because my body hasn't gotten used to it. HOWEVER, it doesn't leave that weird sticky residue you can't scrub off, so I don't plan on switching back ever.

When the deodorant part gets short, I have to stick my hand up the tube to hold it up and out. Would be great if we could push it up and keep it there.

  • top favorite of natural deodorants I've tried and smells amazing

  • The best of all-natural deodorants, but I still prefer traditional antiperspirants.

  • I've only tried their toothpaste. I found it to be kind of loose and runny in texture, which made it more difficult to use. I didn't feel like it did a great job at pasting my teeth, as it were. I did like the flavor though!

  • Natural deodorant that works, smells good, doesn't run, and doesn't irritate my skin!

  • This is the only natural deodorant that worked for me, and I love the scents and the more recent eco-friendly packaging. I love their Jasmine and Charcoal smells. It sometimes leaves a little residue behind but overall does a great job! Has not stained my clothes (yet).

  • I first noticed Native deodorants at a store sale in Target. The deodorants are high quality in ingredients and easy to apply onto skin. Just a small dab can last a while, and there is no annoying residue that gets onto clothes. It is priced at a premium compared to other deodorants, so I tend to buy less regularly.

  • This stuff smells so great and the packaging is so adorable, but unfortunately, the product did not work for me. As someone who lives in Florida, things can get quite hot. Wanted to love this but unfortunately couldn't!
