Lush earns polarizing reviews: aficionados praise its standout bath bombs, indulgent scrubs (Scrubee, Ocean Salt, Magic Crystals), beloved staples like Dream Cream, Celestial, and Mask of Magnaminty, plus vegan/eco-minded practices and fun in‑store testing. Detractors cite overpowering, sometimes irritating fragrances, inconsistent efficacy (notably some skincare, conditioners, and shampoo bars), product discontinuations, and occasional staining or messy residue from bombs—making the brand better for gifts and sensorial self‑care than results‑driven routines.

Love my sugar lip scrub. Helps my lips feel smooth! I have been using this for YEARS
I feel like Lush was good during its beginning stages and now I feel like they might be losing sight of their target audience. I tried the brand for more sustainable and clean options (at the time) and I learned from trial and error that not everything that claims they are clean, actually are. Overall, I wish they had more effective products with LESS perfume. That’s how I learned certain scents trigger migraines for me. 💔
I like the zero wage concept of a lot of their products and that they use mostly clean ingredients but it’s still all really perfume smelly
Where to even begin?! I've used so many Lush products over the years. While not every one is a hit, I love that the company tries new things, listens to its customers and continues to improve staple products that I return to over and over again. Some of those are the Sweet Wild Orange hand balm, Lemony Flutter, Sympathy for the Skin lotion, the lip scrubs and various shower gels (Rose Jam and Sleepy are amazing). Other standout products over the years for me have been Angels on Bare Skin, Gorgeous (which I'd repurchase all the time if it weren't $95), the toothpaste tabs and various body sprays. Their makeup and haircare products tend to be a miss for me, but that doesn't take away from all the wonderful products I know and love from Lush. Plus, you can go into the store and touch/try out pretty much everything, which is awesome -- and is their recycling program,
I like their mission and the values behind the brand, but unfortunately, my experiences with their products haven't gone well. A few years ago, I got one of their Karma bar soaps as a gift. After showering (and yes, even washing it off like you would with your average body soap/wash and drying off with a towel), almost instantly my skin became really red and irritated. It honestly felt like it was burning. I ended up taking a second shower - super cold even in the middle of winter LOL - just to calm my skin down. I ended up using a classic Dove bar soap to wash off whatever was causing the reaction - that really helped a lot 😭 I decided to give the brand another shot a few years later and tried something simple - a lip balm. Unfortunately, I had a similar experience! My lips started itching, and it felt drier than before. I ended up tossing it and used a Vaseline-type product to heal my lips. I get that skincare/bodycare can be hit or miss, and I always give products a fair chance. But in this case, both reactions happened after just one use, and they were pretty intense. Unfortunately, for me, it just hasn't worked out!
No one makes bath bombs like Lush. Or any of their other vegan products, to be honest. Everything smells wonderful, their products are very innovative, and they're very distinct packaging is iconic. Not all products work for every person, but there is definitely something for every skin and hair type.
Love the bath bombs overall. Some are a headache with tub drainage due to little particles/flowers etc that don't dissolve, which ends up clogging my drain.

Lush has been a staple in my home since I was a child. Their soaps are like no other, and of course, the bath bomb is a revelation. I’ve also been subscribing to their kitchen box, and love the opportunity to get five products that aren’t usually available in stores each month! I’m taking off one star for the shift in their products over time. I would give them a 4.5 if I could! Things are just more highly scented than they used to be (some overpoweringly so) and I get the sense that some of their product lines are pushing for quantity over quality. Still, the brand overall is well worth the money.

I used to be a fan of this brand (and I still love the Rose Jam scent), but everything is so heavily scented - not great for the skin. They’re also perpetuating the myth that natural is better.
I loveeeee Lush. Their bath bombs are so fun and make great gifts! I love the charcoal toothy tabs-they help with whitening! My favorite are the lip scrubs (mine and honey are my go-tos!) Their packaging is eco-friendly and they are against animal testing which is something close to my heart. All of their products are vegan as well. They have something for everyone!
Their bath bombs are nice, but everything else is overpriced in my opinion. Lush may want to consider adding lower fragrance options or even some fragrance-free products, as that's where the market seems to be headed.

Best products are the Scrubee body butter and the Mask of Magniminty. Really well made and smell wonderful.
I love their bath bombs. My mom used to bring them back from the UK before they came to the USA.
The massage bars are great for post-shower moisturizing! Dad's Garden Lemon Tree is one of my favorite fragrances, though I wish it was more lemon forward
i love the coffee mask and i'm missing the sticky dates co-mingle <3 hoping they bring it back.
Lush has beautiful products and you can’t go wrong with a purchace.
Mmmmmm love love love!!!! The curl products are amazing and the baby face wash is our constant family staple. We buy it for everyone and ourselves!

I love this brand. There are definitely staples that I keep purchasing like the Honey I Washed My Hair shampoo bar and Catastrophe Cosmetic fresh face mask. They used to have a hard body scrub made from fennel that was the the absolute best. I really wish they would bring it back!
